WOULD NOT RECOMMEND KRESTA

I would not recommend Kresta!!!
Their customer service after the initial sales lady came out has been appalling. I ordered blinds, curtains and shutters on the 1/11/19 and was told that my blinds and curtains would be in by Christmas. Well they did come instal the blinds on the 27/11/19 however 4 blinds were measured incorrectly and did not fit. A week later I had to call them as I received no call from the office to apologise for their error and let me know what was happening and what was the process involved for rectifying the issues. The lady I spoke to as apparently the fitting manager "was busy" said she would follow it up. Well guess what I haven't heard back from anyone!!!

Oh and by the way.......surprise surprise I haven't received my curtains either.

Like so many other people here

Like so many other people here, I haven't had the greatest experience. I ordered blinds for our whole house when my baby was 2 weeks old. Was told 3 to 4 weeks, but call in 3 to find out what is happening. Calls and emails were never returned. My baby is now 10 weeks, so we have spent 2 months covering his windows in cardboard during the day then taking it down at night to let the breeze in. Then waking up at 5am with the sunrise. And hiding in the walk in wardrobe when the temperature is over 40.

I can't say anything about the quality as I haven't received anything yet. Although given the other reviews, I don't have high hopes.

Save yourself! Avoid Kresta!

Like another reviewer here, we were promised pre-Christmas installation of blinds if we ordered by a specific date - ooh, which just happened to be the day the salesperson did the quote. We ordered because the price was good (not because I believed the threat that we'd miss out on pre-Christmas installation). The blinds apparently arrived the week before Christmas and I expected installation to be arranged shortly thereafter, as indicated by Kresta...but then the lies started. Firstly, it was stated that we didn't order in time for pre-Christmas installation. We were then told that no such promises would've been made by them. Instead of trying to provide a solution, we were offered a summary of key dates as a form of defence against their failure to commit. These dates were inconsistent with another Kresta rep's dates (which were also presented to defend against not delivering on time). Both sets of dates were different still to yet another of their colleagues who came so close to confirming I had indeed ordered in time for pre-Christmas installation and the order was coming along just fine, but she stopped short of committing entirely, simply to avoid putting anything in writing, no doubt. Eventually, after much struggle, installation was arranged for the end of the year but the installer called the day before the agreed date and gave virtually no notice period. Installation didn't happen. No commitment has been made about a replacement date and communication has just stopped. Nobody from Kresta is actively trying to resolve the situation. When we were in contact with Kresta, we'd hear from representatives from Perth, Mentone, Clayton, Nunawading...and not one of them seemed to have a clue. The blinds still haven't been installed. We don't know if or when they even will. This is the short version of our ordeal with this incompetent bunch of snakes. Do yourself a favour and avoid this business, even if it costs you more money. It's simply not worth it for the total absence of service and the problems you will likely encounter in the process of dealing with the worst company I've had the displeasure of dealing with in my life. I say that without any exaggeration. Kresta - you are a joke!

Beyond bad.....

I wish I read this before I ordered. Pre Christmas delivery is an out right lie & shoddy business practise. It’s a couple of days out from Christmas & still no confirmed date of installation & no contact from the business. Zero customer service & no accountability or responsibility.

Kresta are horrifically bad! Do yourself a favour and steer clear!

Kresta, you have the most atrocious customer service team, and service in general. We ordered our blinds nearly 4 months ago, we were promised they would block out the light when we had your consultant come to our house, and we ordered the blinds in a grey colour. When your installation team came to install them, not only where they white, and did not block out the light, but they also were not the correct size!! We then had to wait another month for correct size in wrong colour, they came to instal and were again wrong size! This process happened two more times, your team can not use a tape measure! All the while, while being promised the correct colour were being made in grey and would be installed. You never return our calls or emails, and when you promise to call back never do! We’re now have broken window frames from multiple drill holes, the wrong colours blinds, and a room as light as it was previously. Your service is horrifically bad! I’ll be ensuring everyone I know, hears about this, and knows not to use Kresta. We will also be taking this to fair trading Australia. We have tried many times to discuss this with you, to no avail. Worked for them as an installer

Worked for them as an installer. Never got paid for months worth of work despite the fact they were paid for installation by customers. I was often embarrassed by the quality and constant complaints by customers who paid upfront. Stay away.

Bad Customer service when complaining about product

I have already sent an email to Kresta re the unhappy experience with curtains from their Broadmeadow shop but so far there is no response. So how can you expect good customer service from the front line when The Powers That Be do not respond!!!!
The curtains that were made to measure were so crushed when hung that after a couple of weeks the fitter returned with a tiny hand held steamer to try to steam them out. Slightly better but while steaming against the windows the lining was transferred to them.!!!!!! Absolutely disgraceful response from original shop when I complained. If it wasn't for the lovely and helpful lady in the Penrith shop I would have got nowhere. She answered the phone when I called the generic number!!!!!

Worst of the worst !

It takes a very long time to get the curtain and the customer service is the worst of all. If anyone ever say that these bad reviews is an exchange of cash, its not true! Althought I could get use to a refund if only Kresta let me get one for their fake promises. It has been 2 months since my first payment. The phone line is giving me frustration as they say that the other department will be calling me to instal the blinds when it is in stock. I heard nothing for so long and the agent that is dealing with me, Manila is so difficult to be contacted except the time that she is waiting for my payment. All she say is “Can you do the payment now and send me the prove of payment now”. What is that really... They don’t even tell me the answer when I ask what time will the delivery coming. After the payment, I did call again to confirm that they received the prove of payment and Manila finally said that she will try to call the delivery vendor. Well... she did not contact me until this hour and the delivery is due tomorrow.
Literally one of my biggest mistake !

0n 26 November 2018 I placed an order…

0n 26 November 2018 I placed an order with Kresta for curtains and blinds totalling $5,456.00. On 2 February 2019 the installer advised that the sheer curtains had incorrect hooks and took them away to be corrected. Since that date I have had numerous telephone conversations with Kestra trying to ascertain the whereabouts of my curtains. Each person I have spoken to says they will get back to me but nothing happens. I have heavy drapes and tracks lying on the floor in their packaging waiting to be installed. I think you will agree that I have been more than patient with this ridiculous situation.I can hardly believe that a company would operate this way and expect to survive! I am in the process of lodging complaints with Dept of Fair Trading and Accc. My Order No is LN033655.

Last year

Last year, I ordered three small blinds to replace some other blinds that had gone a little mildewy (but that I otherwise really liked). I was pregnant when the sales lady came around and a bit exhausted, so I basically asked her to replicate what was already there (including brackets etc). When the installer came around I was breastfeeding in a different room and so left him to it. He was nice enough and fairly quick (although left a few screws lying around on the floor, which I stood on later) and I let him leave without looking at the blinds. When I went to see them I instantly hated them as they looked like cheap plastic blinds (while my old ones were an organic cotton, matching our house, which is all timber and very nature-senstive). The brackets were too big and one of them actually sticks out from the frame and has empty screw holes. It looks terrible. They are simply not a good-looking product and not in keeping with my architect-designed house. They don't match the other blind in the room. They look like something you'd have in a demountable. Also, most importantly, they were supposed to block out light (as per my existing blinds) but they don't block any light, which is bad as my baby is sleeping in that room. She now wakes at 5am! We emailed the company to say we were not happy and they said I'd "signed off on the fabric choice"and that was that. I have thrown them in the bin and will be paying for my carpenter to put the old ones back up. I now can't really afford to spend another $650 to buy new ones. Not happy, will NEVER use Kresta again.

Kresta Blinds and consumer law failure

Kresta Blinds owes me $613 for the last four months and have repeatedly failed to respond to my requests for re payment. I paid $613 as 50% deposit for a blind in July. In Sept I was told that it was no longer going to be available and that I would be reimbursed. I have now made three calls to the Canberra office and one to the accounts Dept in WA with no result except reassurances. Looks like the small claims court next. UPDATE - DON'T BUY FROM KRESTA!

Kresta - In response to your comments regarding my review which I have cut and pasted below. We have been dealing with your North Lakes store and have experienced a lack of urgency when having calls returned or not ringing at all! I can't stress enough how Customer Service should be just that "Customer Service" and this is something we have not received. I stressed that we would like a full refund of the track but to no avail. This was from the North Lakes (Charlene) Store and Sam at Customer Services Queensland. Charlene actually said to my partner "I am not cranky with you not am I annoyed with you" which is deplorable considering she is talking to a customer and not the other way around. It's like dealing with people that just don't see that what Kresta is doing is plain wrong. I stand by my comments that we will no longer be recommending friends and family to your company. I would not like them to have the same experience and can have a better after sales service from your competitors. Please let me know if you can (if anything) commit to a full refund?

DO NOT BUY FROM KRESTA!! My experience ..... I was advised that my vertical blinds needed a new internal track and therefore ordered and paid for one a few months ago. When the fitter came to fit the track he saw immediately what the issue was and fixed it in a matter of seconds. The screw on the track had not been adjusted properly. Therefore not needing the track now I requested a full refund. Kresta constantly didn't return my calls which was very frustrating. Finally today, after getting through to their Customer Service for Queensland, I was informed that a fitter came out so I was still liable for the call-out fee of $83. Totally unacceptable but in the end realised I cannot waste any more time and energy with them. I will never purchase anything from Kresta again. I feel totally 'ripped off' by this company. DON'T TOUCH THEM WITH A BARGE POLE!!!

Have been waiting since July for my…

Have been waiting since July for my shutters because the check measure was constantly rescheduled by the company. Initially I said it was fine to wait for everything to be installed together and changed my mind when I heard other people were having issues - they didn’t reply. I followed up a month later again. They then advised a month ago that they would update people weekly on their orders but did not.

Don't waste your money

Product is OK, but service APPALLING. After 2 failed installation dates (and each time that required me taking time off work for no result), my awning was finally put up on September 12, but it came without the remote control and also missing a few key bolts. Installer did his best, but now I have an $8,000 awning attached to my house that I CANNOT USE because no-one has been able to help fix the problem in spite of 1 visit in person to the showroom and numerous phone calls to the installation company. The sub-contractor installer is still trying to help but no-one is listening to him or responding to his emails either. Six weeks waiting on a remote and some bolts is ludicrous! Australian Consumer law says I am entitled to a refund if a product is not fit for service and clearly an awning that I can't wind out due to the absence of a remote is NOT fit for service. I'm totally fed up with the buck passing going on between the Kresta Penrith showroom and the installation company and even more upset about total lack of communication. No-one has EVER returned a message left on the answering machine. They seem to just take the $ and run!

Send Me My Tax Invoice!

Hello Kreasta,
You emailed me a tax invoice amount at $1,125 yesterday:
Caringbah store taken $563 from my credit card account on the 29/06/19, Regents Park store taken $567.62 on the 9/08//19 from my credit card account. Later on I find out I was charged 1% fee by Regents Park store without inform me. The total amount I was charged = $1,130.62 instead of $1,125.
Also I was promised invoice date is 29/06/2019 when your sales came on that day to do measurements as I was rushed to get this in for FY 2019.
I wasn’t told 1% fee occurred for credit card payment, you did not charge for the first deduction but second. Obviously something wrong from your side as it is inconsistency.
Please refund me $5.62 ASAP.

Maybe I should talk to ATO in this matter, and I am not going to use Kresta EVER again.Goodbye Kreasta, forward me tax invoice asap, otherwise I will make complaint to Fair Trading Dept, plus report to ATO, how dare you took money from a customer's account like me without issue a tax invoice after nearly 4 months!

Terrible lack of communication & made in China once again!

Terrible lack of communication. False information supplied from the get go. Salesman came inhome. Said blinds would take 4-5 weeks. Turned out to be 10weeks until the were installed. With many follow up calls made by myself. Never an update had from the company. They wanted 50% money on sales day and 50% 7 days before install date. Install day came. Blinds are all indented as they have been packaged badly from CHINA!! Was never informed they were coming from China! Wouldn't have purchased if this was the case. Now WE have to make time and go back in to pick a different fabric! Waste of our time and then told it will be another 4-5wks until they come. Company is a joke. They take your money and run. Installer on the day told us he was the only installer for Adelaide and asked if anyone was looking for a job.
Highly dissatisfied with the whole ordeal. Should have just kept the news paper we had up when the house was build would have been so much cheaper and less hassle.
