Dear Maja,
We responded to your WhatsApp message within 3 hours of it being sent and have remained in communication throughout this matter.

As explained previously, your item experienced a delay during the hallmarking process. Unfortunately, this can occasionally happen within the jewellery industry due to external processing times outside of our direct control.

After discussing the delay with you, you confirmed you were happy to wait an extra day or two for dispatch.
Your order was then completed, dispatched, and delivered to the delivery address provided on your order.

The parcel was sent via Royal Mail Signed For service and shows as successfully delivered and signed for.
At this stage, our obligation as the retailer has been fulfilled, as the item has been delivered to the address supplied on the order.

If you believe there has been an issue with the delivery or signature, this is something that must now be raised directly with Royal Mail for investigation.

We deal with thousands of customers every year and maintain a very high customer satisfaction rate. We take allegations of fraud extremely seriously and would never knowingly mislead a customer regarding delivery.

As the parcel is marked as delivered and has not been returned to us, we will not be issuing a refund unless the item is returned back to our business.
We recommend contacting Royal Mail directly to open a formal investigation regarding your delivery concerns.

Disappointing Quality and Frustrating Refund Process

I purchased a pair of gold earrings (priced at nearly £200) from this jeweller, and unfortunately, my experience was disappointing.

The earrings arrived in a very cheap, unpresentable box, which was unsuitable for gifting. After contacting them, they did send a better box, describing it as a “gesture of goodwill,” but this should have been the standard given the price point.

More concerning was that the earrings were advertised as 3mm in width, but in reality measured only around 1.6mm—almost half the stated size. Initially, I was told I could not return the item, but once I raised this discrepancy, they quickly agreed to a refund, stating that the measurements were only “approximate.”

Even then, the refund process was slow and frustrating. I had to follow up multiple times over the course of more than two weeks before the refund was finally issued in full.

Overall, a poor experience. I would not recommend.

We would like to clarify a few points regarding your concerns. The dimensions provided in our descriptions are based on approximations supplied directly by our manufacturer. While they are generally very accurate, there can occasionally be slight variations. This is something we take seriously and will be raising with our supplier to improve consistency moving forward.

In terms of the presentation box, this is a style we use regularly across our products and, to date, we have not received any complaints. We do understand that presentation can be a matter of personal taste.

Regarding your refund, we deducted only the small shipping fee, which amounted to less than £6. The remaining balance was processed promptly, with the refund completed in under a week.
We also feel it is important to highlight that the item offered very strong value for money given its specifications, which is something we consistently strive to provide to all our customers.

With all due respect, we do feel that the review left is somewhat unfair and overly harsh when considering the above points and the level of service provided.

That said, we genuinely value all feedback and will continue to improve wherever possible.

Buyer beware with earrings

I hate giving negative reviews but feel buyers should be aware of my experience. Firstly, I placed my order for a pair of 9ct gold sleeper earrings on 1st Feb. These were eventually sent out on 13th Feb, following several emails questioning when I would receive the item. When the earrings eventually arrived I was very disappointed at the quality - they were very thin, had uneven hinged arms and I could find no hallmark, even looking through a magnifying glass, despite the earrings being advertised as hallmarked. I contacted Thomas Edward Jewellers to advise them of my issues with the earrings and was then told they were a non returnable item. When placing the order I checked their refunds policy on earrings, indeed their website advertised free returns on the very page that was selling the earrings. At no point was I warned that earrings were non returnable. I was extremely unhappy and after various emails back and forth, they did accept the return for which I am grateful. The purpose of my review is to make other buyers aware of their returns policy on earrings as it is very misleading and I do not want other customers to be caught out.

We would like to clarify that our terms and conditions are clearly stated on our website. For hygiene reasons, earrings are non-returnable once purchased, as they cannot be resold. We hope you can understand that this policy is in place to protect all of our customers.

On this occasion, we offered a free return as a gesture of goodwill, despite our stated policy.

Regarding the hallmark, all of our 9ct gold pieces are hallmarked in accordance with UK regulations. The hallmark is present on the piece, and to ensure your confidence in this, we also offered to send you a replacement pair.

We always aim to resolve matters fairly and appreciate the opportunity to address your concerns.

When it arrived in a cheap nasty bent…

When it arrived in a cheap nasty bent box, the chain was so badly knotted in 2 places I had to buy a new chain, the cross is lovely but the care, pre checks and presentation was awful

Nice collections - can improve on delivery times

I ordered an emerald pendant. The pendant itself had no issues and was very pretty. However , I wanted it on a short notice to gift to someone and opted for priority delivery(2-3 days) for which they charged me £8 extra. I placed the order on 6th Feb evening and still received the product on 13th evening 5 days later despite paying a premium.

The chain is very fine

The chain is very fine, unable to fasten myself as it only has 1 link to fit the clasp, I live alone so need to wait until someone can help me fasten it

All chains, regardless of thickness, are designed to fasten using a single link and clasp, and this particular chain is paired specifically with the item you ordered. It is one of our best-selling combinations and is designed to be delicate and lightweight while remaining secure when worn.

That said, we completely appreciate that fastening fine chains can be challenging for some customers.

We do feel a three-star rating may be a little harsh given the quality and popularity of the piece, but we truly value all feedback and take it on board.

Unexpected price rise. The ruby earrings were as anticipated…

The ruby earrings were as anticipated and my wife was pleased with them.
What was unacceptable was that the price was raise by almost £100 without consultation and between placing the order and receiving the items. The reason given was that material prices had risen. This does not make sense for items already in stock. Unhappy customer!!

Awful

Awful, seems like a scam. I have paid for item, I have paid for delivery, I have paid for customs, 17 eur for a item 45 eur worth that end up 70 eur in total, parcel arrived but item was not in it, just an empty small box. Contacted shop, they didn't took responsibility on what happened, no refund!

custom fees are not applicable to us but the customer this is clearly shown on terms and conditions page, the item was in the package and sent on time with good faith, our packaging team are exemplary dealing with thousands of orders every year and they confirmed your item was neatly packaged and present within your large letter.
