Nightmare with AirBerlin
My wife's roundtrip Köln-Berlin-Bucharest (Romania) and back was a complete nightmare.
28/12/2016 AB6490 Köln-Berlin and AB8270 Berlin-Bucharest: in Berlin, they had to cross the entire airport walking, to transfer from the first flight to the second. There was no bus or other vehicle, also not from from airplane to terminal and from terminal to airplane; it was cold and it was raining. Arrival in Bucharest with considerable delay. Insufficient bus places for travelling to the arrival terminal, very long waiting for a second bus to come.
02/01/2017 AB8273 Bucharest-Berlin took off 55 minutes late. Connection flight AB6495 Berlin-Köln left before they even landed in Berlin. Major problem to get a booking on the next flight AB6497 that was supposed to leave 1 hour after the other, but took off also with 45 minutes delay. In the mean time, they had to run from one gate to another and another and another, passing FOUR times security check, and ultimately sent to the correct gate without boarding pass!!! After a fight with the desk personnel, allowed to get in the airplane. Instead of arriving in Köln at 9h10 as planned, they landed at 11h15.
Nightmare was not over yet! Her luggage got lost... Hopefully it will show up soon, and will be delivered home (In Belgium, 136 km from Köln airport).
The suitcase was delivered home on January 4, 2017. It was damaged. I sent an e-mail to AirBerlin with a complaint, They did not answer (until today, January 17).

Gemakkelijke boeking, onmiddellijk correcte documenten gekregen en reservering correct.
De vliegervaring met Air Berlin was daarentegen een nachtmerrie. Nooit zullen wij nog met Air Berlin vliegen!
