Previously book up within 2 weeks anf my appointment confirmed at 8.30.when l arrived there was six poeple in front of me .the lady ask my name which l confirmed .then l was to done first.

My rear on side tyre had a screw buried. So went to my local garage.
Hill Crest Huntingfield.
They suggested you I have been before.
Very polite quick to asses and the tyre was replaced within 15mins approx.
Quickly explaining that the tyre was run flat type.
A lesser charge was paid as Hill Crest had recommended me to you.
Very impressed service certainly with a smile.

The booking and execution of works was conducted as speedily as might be expected and to a reasonable standard, whereas the additional unsolicited advice was wildly at odds with reality.
'The Vehicle Health Check Page 2 - Brake Specification and Inspection Report', is inaccurate, despite a complete strip down of the NSF assembly to access and replace the wheel bearing. The passenger side front brake pads were stated as being '12mm - Estimated 35,000 miles before inspection required'. When they then came up as an advisory in the subsequent MOT, I checked and replaced them, as the thickness was between 3 - 5 mm and 8 - 9 mm on each pair and worn very unevenly, as were the discs. This somewhat begs the question 'Why offer three pages of information, geared to further product sales, if it is critically inaccurate'?
The Halesworth branch is predominately a wholesale tire outlet, so I do not expect the same degree of service as a local garage but I do expect that I should be able to trust the advice given. The Beccles branch on the same evaluation stated' Visual check GREEN estimated 28,000 before inspection required' by which time the brakes would have been long failed at MOT and replaced. Why both branches should have voluntarily offered different but equally inaccurate assessments seems pointless, when it was the MOT that accurately identified that they were in poor condition.
I do hope that the disparity between what is said over the counter and otherwise written in these pseudo reports is addressed, as the staff seem both helpful and capable.
