Total scam. A tow-truck driver was able to do in 15 minutes what the 1800battery “technician” gave up on after 45 minutes and a few Youtube video tutorials. This was *after* waiting 30hrs for someone to call and set a time for said “technician” to come out. I ended keeping the battery they brought out, but even *that* needs a jump to get started. And I spent $600 for the whole thing. Learn from my mistakes!

I should not have to wait 72 hours for a warranty service. The communication outside of today is very poor and y'all are struggling to find techs. What if I was stranded in the woods with no electricity waiting for y'all to change my battery. I am a hard paying customer that gave y'all no issues in terms of making a payment. This is preposterous that I placed my initial claim on 08/29/2026 and still haven't received service as of yet on 08/31/2026. I'd just ended up canceling on 09/01/2026 and went to AutoZone and bought a new one. I'm thinking I had alternator issues or starter issue but looking at these.other reviews its them not me.

I would give them 0 stars if I could.
They came installed my battery, said they reprogrammed it but didnt happen. Told me I had to take it to auto place where I had to pay another 200$. Had no problems before with my start/stop and now it doesnt even work.
Auto placed said it wasnt installed properly, cables loose.
Called and spoke to supervisor Maci sent paperwork in and said I would get a call back.
Everyday I call they say she will call me back and Im still waiting for a call.
Getting the run around and never received calls.
Also was told someone was gonna come back out same day and no call nobody came.
This is the worst place, do not use them, customer service is even worse.

I had a new battery installed in my 2021 Jeep Wrangler. The tech drove away. A few minutes later I got in the car, started it up and the A! warning light was on. I asked for someone to come back and repair. I was told that there would be a $125 dispatch fee if someone came out and the battery tested fine. It's irresponsible business to ask a customer to agree to pay another $125 dispatch fee. I already paid $500 for the battery and installation, and this is a warranty issue. If the battery is defective or the installation was done incorrectly, that should be addressed at no additional cost to me. I’m not paying another fee to have work I already paid for checked. Do not use them!

I Ordered a Deka / East-Penn battery because I trust the brand and I wanted a battery made in the US or Mexico. They delivered and installed a ACDelco battery made in Korea. I have nothing against ACDelco or Korea, but thats not what I paid for. Also the ACDelco cold cranking amps are lower than the Deka. I feel lied to and cheated, and to top it off I could not find a way to contact 1800battery to resolve the issue. I needed a battery so I could use my car the next day, so I decided to just keep the inferior battery and count it as an expensive lesson. I will never use them again.

Booked an appointment around 3:45 pm to get the car battery replaced. Immediately got confirmation that they’re waiting for a technician. Then nothing. 4 hours later, nothing. Tried calling, their customer service was closed for the day. 5:30 am they emailed saying “no eta. still waiting on a technician”. 3.5 hours later that, still nothing. Finally contacted customer service to just cancel. I had an important doctor appointment, I can’t sit and wait and wait and wait. At least cancellation was easy. But definitely won’t give them a try in the future.

We needed to have our 1985 Corvette battery replaced but didn't want to go through the hassle of having it towed. We called 1800Battery and were pleasantly surprised! The scheduling staff: Connor and Meagan were very helpful and kind. They explained the procedure and explained our options for battery replacement. The Mobile Mechanic, Anthony M was outstanding! He was very knowledgeable, worked quickly and efficiently and was courteous and communicative. We are very happy with their service!

Order number 100067 was installed in my car on Nov. 10, 2025. On Feb. 17, 2026, my car had a dead battery and Order #109924 was assigned. On Feb 18, 2026, a very professional 1-800Battery.com tech replaced the battery, taking a photo with his cell phone of the battery tester showing the battery showed 2 volts. As the tech was removing the battery from my car I noticed a sticker on the battery indicating the battery was shipped in November 2024, a year before it was installed in my car. As is 1-800Battery.com procedure a credit card charge for $125.00 was made; however despite the cellphone photo of a defective battery - I was still charged the $125 - contrary to 1-800Battery.com's stated policy.
Quote from 1-800Battery.com website concerning service fee on a defective battery:
“There is a fee that is charged for technician to come out and review the installation, check other charging components on the car and if the battery is defective we will waive that charge.
If the battery is defective there will be no charge at all for a warranty check. If the battery is ok then the charge will remain.”
After I contested the charge on my credit card, I was not charges the $125.
In May, the replacement battery was also dead. I contacted 1-800Battery.com telephone number and spoke with a young woman that I had not spoken with before and she advised that replacement batteries did NOT have a warrantee, and she also fussed at me saying that I did not drive the car enough (never mind that I was out of town). Needless to say that will be the last time I contact this outfit!

The tech delivered the battery and installed it on-site, making the entire experience incredibly convenient and stress‑free. I’m very grateful for the excellent service.

Kinley did an outstanding job. He was professional, respectful, and incredibly patient while replacing the battery on my Mercedes R350, a very difficult job since the battery is hidden deep behind the seats with uncommon screws. My car was completely dead and couldn’t even be jump‑started, but he didn’t give up and got it done. 1800 Battery is a reliable company, and I highly recommend them.

Wasted half a day waiting for someone to arrive with a very expensive battery. I had a 2-hour window. After waiting most of that time for an update I called. They said I would get an update in 10 minutes. Half an hour went by and nothing. Finally got a hold of someone in a chat and they said it would be tomorrow. Meanwhile I had placed the initial order at 12 noon. I could have found an alternative in the 4 hours waiting. Now I have to wait 48 hours for a refund! Don't promise what you can't deliver!

I purchased a battery from 800battery.com 2 years ago with a 3 year gold contract coverage. My car would not start yesterday so I called customer service and inquired how to proceed. The Representative was able to pull up my account information via the cell number from which I was calling. He confirmed all the information and asked when it would be convenient for the local city technician could come and install a replacement battery. Very efficient customer service was provided by the 800Battery representative. Then the local contractor company that does 800Battery’s work was outstanding and I realize the local technician provides an even greater, excellent face of the battery replacement company. I live in Miami and the young man who provided the installation of my battery on both occasions is Excellent! He was on time within the window of time we scheduled, he had all the necessary knowledge to access my battery which is located in the rear of the car between the trunk and back seat. He was efficient, friendly and polite, and even offered to reinstall my rain gear, canvas car cover, etc., that is stored in the trunk. If you live in Miami and contact 800Battery.com (which I recommend), please ask that the contractor technician named Damian comes to install your new battery. Thanks very much to both entities!

Purchased a truck battery for $347 less than a year ago, not only do they want $50 for a replacement but $175 upfront in case the issue is not the battery.
I wish I can give a negative 5 on the rating for this company.
Buyer beware, stay away!

I booked and paid for a car battery and installation for a two hour window the following day. At ten minutes to the end of the window, I had not received any updates so I went to the website customer service chat. They informed me that they were "searching for a tech for my order." I asked for a refund which was promptly issued. I was relieved at that but annoyed that I had wasted so much time. They should have notified me much earlier that no tech was available and I would not have wasted my afternoon. Just relieved that I did get my money back.

Sold me a defective battery and then failed to show up for scheduled appointment to replace. No call. No email. Took no responsibility. Just said they were having hard time finding a tech. Last time for me…

My battery went dead so I made a call about 24 hours ago to get it replaced, I understood that there has been bad weather this week so I set it a day ahead from 8 to 10am, using the site format which said I was setting an appointment, and rearranged my work schedule to accommodate it.

They were lightning fast when it came to taking my money, but I heard nothing after the confirmation email all the way up to the time window. Finally at 9:40 I reached the chat after it closed out four times and the person says "Okay we're finding a tech now", as if I just placed the order.

I canceled it from there, absolute waste of time. I should have read the reviews before and also used common sense of never going with a Google ad on the search results when looking for a service.

This is not a reliable company, I don't necessarily think they're a scam (assuming I get the refund), but they don't appear to have the necessary organization and manpower to keep up. It's better to just go with AAA or a local provider.

If I could give less than 1-star I would. Ordered a battery for delivery/installation. Was given a window of 1000-1200. At 1030 status changed to assigned a driver. Has stayed stuck at that status for several hours. Each time I contacted customer service they stalled "we're reaching out to the tech" "He'll be there soon" - hours pass no tech. "We're reassigning it, he'll be there in 45 minutes - no tech yet. Money spent. Car dead.

I scheduled the service and made payment online. They gave me an estimated time frame of 2 hours. I waited the entire afternoon with no text and no call. I finally contacted them and was told they had no idea when a technician would get to me. No one ever showed up.

1800 battery is shit.

We call at 10am and get told it’ll be today or at the latest early tomorrow and then get 0 communication. Their website says our city, Lincoln Nebraska but then when we call this morning to see what is going on all operators declined due to distance. After holding almost $400 I am so ridiculously annoyed at this shit company.

Stay away from these extremely unprofessional people. They don't answer the phone or text messages, so you just have to keep calling back to speak to someone. But then when you finally get through to someone, it's a very rude, unhelpful, negative, incompetent person named "Joe" who just rushes through everything and gives you wrong information.

He started off by telling me that most of his drivers were still on vacation. Then he wanted to charge me double for an AGM battery, when I can get a brand new Super Start Platinum AGM from O'Reilly's for much less, with a 4-year warranty, not the garbage warranties they offer, and it would still be less with installation by a mobile mechanic. For a regular DieHard Silver, which is what I got from them 3 1/2 years ago, the 36-month warranty I previously got from them is now only 18 months for the same exact battery, and of course, the price went up. What a ripoff!

After all that, he told me he had nobody in my area. SO RUDE AND USELESS! I'm getting a much better product, price, and warranty by buying from O'Reilly's and having a mobile mechanic install it for me. I'm sure that unlike their unreliable drivers, who often show up late or don't show up at all, as what happened to me last time, my mobile mechanic will actually show up and be here tomorrow - on time! And he's an actual certified mechanic who knows what he's doing, not just whoever from this company. (See other negative reviews for more on that!) Plus, the total price will still be less than what they would charge for an AGM with an inferior warranty and installation!

Btw, attention Joe's boss: You should look into Joe's poor performance. He should not be dealing directly with the public because you can tell he hates his job, and you're likely to be losing business because of him. Even if you had a driver in my area, I would not have purchased from you due to his rudeness and misinformation. Just so you know, I called at 9:03 am on 1/2/2026 - just in case he gave me a fake name.
