Their customer support were unhelpful and told me to basically "buy replacement parts and fix it yourself" - it went in the bin and I bought a controller from another brand instead
Quick search found multiple Reddit threads with people who had the same problem - the membrane inside the right trigger is prone to break. Even those within warranty were reporting that 8bitdo support were not being helpful with the issue.
Avoid at all costs.
Australian customers beware!
My first and very likely last experience with the 8BitDo store was incredibly disappointing. The experience on the website wasn't bad, and the time to prepare the order and get it shipped internationally was very respectable. If the story ended there, I would be leaving a 5 star review. Unfortunately, 8BitDo and their international shipping partners use Aramex Australia for the last-mile shipping. Which was a complete nightmare, with many failed delivery attempts and sheer incompetence (the couriers don't even read delivery instructions). That's not necessarily the fault of 8BitDo, if they learn their lesson to not use the worst couriers available. However, what was really disappointing was how the 8BitDo support staff handled the situation. They were not helpful at all, trying to pass the buck and not taking any responsibility at all. Their support amounted to parroting what the tracking information said, and continuously asking me to contact the courier. Even after I clearly told them that every avenue to contact the courier had been pursued and exhausted. I even had to raise a case with PayPal in order to put some pressure on them. All in all, it took 2 months for my order to arrive.
The 8BitDo products themselves are great, and I don't have any problems with them. But I recommend avoiding the store on the 8BitDo website until the business makes the necessary changes to improve delivery times and customer service. You're much better off buying their products from Amazon Australia.

Gbros adapter stay away from it
Gbros adapter arrived with 3cm long micro usb cable, didnt last long until it stopped working because of wire tension and weight from the battery. You think you can just take a normal micro usb from your pile and replace it right, nope 8bitdo uses proprietary micro usb cable. Screw these guys and their greedy behavior, there is a reason why they sell micro usb cable on their site but they don't explain that it has been altered to only work with their products.
8bitdo are terrible
Brought the playstation wireless receiver as its advertised to play perfectly with playstation 1 and 2.
Well it works with ps2 but you can't play ps1 games with analogue controls which actually renders a few games unplayable eg crash bandicoot.
I wrote to customer support asking what I could do to make it work as its what I brought it for and was told to download an updater tool.
I pointed out I don't have a pc or laptop and was sent a file to use with a pc or laptop.
I told the customer service that this should be working out of the box as its advertised as "perfect compatability " as I was very let down with the product I had paid for and I don't think its good business practice to release a product as unfinished. its essentially getting the customer to fund further development to completion.
The customer service replied saying its not advertised as analogue compatible and I should shop elsewhere.
Terrible attitude considering I've brought 10 or so products from them prior and was just seeking "perfect compatability " as advertised which would by definition, include analogue support as it was a feature of playstation 1.
Will be returning my receivers and purchasing the retrofighters defender, which works with 100% of features and even gives you a modern controller for just 10 pounds more.
8bitdo attitude stinks and its business practice is disgraceful
