My initial house purchase went through just fine. However over a year later I am still waiting for the official documentation to prove the property is mine. I emailed absolute conveyancing on 8th October and they replied to let me know they would investigate. Despite two follow up emails I have had no response and it is now almost two months later. In my view this is exceptionally poor service.
June 2021 update - communication still very poor but making slow progress thanks to a complaint to the Legal Ombudsman and the intervention of a friend who is a solicitor. I will never use a conveyancing factory again and would advise others to do the same!

I found Absolute Conveyancing through compare the market and their quote came up the cheapest whilst also being local to my area.

I had a particularly long experience of the house buying process due to Covid and the sellers solicitors being incompetent. However I found Kate at Absolute Conveyancing excellent support through the process and very patient with me when I used to call and ask on about any progress, as in total from my offer to completion it took 11 months.

I would definitely use again :)

Update 16th December
Managed to get in touch with Absolute Conveyancing and it turns out that it is pretty much a husband-and-wife show and there was a family crisis, which means they were swamped and unable to get back to everybody. My deposit was refunded same day. I have therefore upgraded my review to 3-stars because I do understand and if someone had let me know, I would not have assumed that it was all a con.

Appointed for a transfer of equity and all forms and deposit submitted on 4th November. Despite repeated attempts at contacting them for an update, nothing, not even an acknowledgement. Worse, they refused to take the first payment by credit card and insisted on a bank transfer. Since a transfer is not reversible, it looks as though I have lost my money.
Interestingly, many recent reviews are similar to this, which beggars the question as to what is actually happening? Perhaps this needs the attention of the relevant regulation authority now.

Simply awful.
They apparently pride themselves on a fast and efficient service!! Well I'm still waiting for a response to my 10+ phone calls and 7+ emails going back to August!! When someone does answer the phone, they can't tell you what stage your case is at or if it has been referred to the necessary 3rd party company.
Not even the company Partner can be bothered to display any form customer service!!
Definitely not swift or stress free. Infact the complete opposite!!

Instructed the firm on a purchase of my flat in London, where there were some unusual clauses in the contract that needed specialist advice. Kate handled the transaction seamlessly. Absolutely fantastic and responsive, during the covid period, with rapid turnaround. Thank you
