Academy Voices is an audiobook publisher, and every audiobook we make is narrated by a real person. That is our Certified Human Voice promise. For authors: post your book for free and hear auditions from professional human narrators. You choose the voice. Once you pick your narrator, a one-time $350 production fee covers production and publishing to nearly 50 stores, libraries and streaming services, including Audible, Apple Books, Spotify and hoopla. You can pay your narrator per finished hour, or choose royalty share and pay no narrator fee up front: royalties are split 40% to you, 40% to your narrator and 20% to Academy Voices for 10 years, then the narrator's share comes to you. Authors who already have a finished audiobook can publish with us for a one-time $150 fee. Authors never pay a membership. For narrators: a $9 a month membership gives you daily audiobook auditions, casting and royalties on every title you narrate, with optional tools for proofing and script prep. For listeners: we have published more than 750 audiobooks, from classics to new fiction, each with a named narrator and a free sample at academyvoices.com. Academy Voices was founded by narrator Anthony Pica and is based in Gloucester, Virginia.

Thanks, Roger! Real voices are the whole point, and we're glad you're here. See you in the auditions.
I really enjoyed having the opportunity to be informed about the Voice Over's tips and tricks in the industry. Aslo, I learned a lot just watching Anthony Pica's Coffee time, Angela Ohlfest and Gabi Nistico's videos. Since I am located in France, I don’t always have the possibility to follow live webinars. As a whole, the community is a great place to be for anyone eager to learn, to grow and to know more about how to build a successful voice over business. I came to realize consistency and commitment are key for success.

Thank you, Etombè! It's been great having you in the community, and your French titles are a real asset to our catalog. You're right, consistency and commitment are what it takes. The replays are always there when the live times don't work from France.
I've narrated 3 audiobooks for them and it's been an excellent experience. They're responsive and constantly improving their set up.

Academy voices provides amazing opportunities for up-and-coming narrators to get their foot in the door. I’m grateful for all the wonderful opportunities Academy voices has given me as I have started my audiobook narration career.

Thanks, Miguel! Love hearing this. Here's to many more books together.
Academy Voices are friendly and personable. There are a lot of books available to audition for. Currently there are nearly all Royalty Share and little PFH also mostly Public Domain titles (a lot of short stories) but it is early days and I believe that this will changes as things move forward. I have narrated four books with them so far and it has been a positive experience.

Thanks, Stuart, and thanks for narrating four books with us! You're right. Right now most of the work is royalty share on our own public-domain titles. PFH comes from authors bringing their own books, and that side is just getting started. We're putting most of our marketing into bringing in authors, so expect more PFH as it grows.
Academy voices is a great resource for narrators and authors to get together and realize their full vision of their work.
Speaking as a professional voice artist and narrator, I have been with Academy voices basically since the beginning. The new website update really puts Academy voices into the major leagues in my opinion.
Anthony has always run the organization professionally, and with the addition of the new website, which is polished and extremely utilitarian, I really believe this is the place to be if you're an author or narrator.
It is a night and day experience from ACX. ACX is the "industry standard" website for narrators and authors to find each other… Unfortunately beleaguered by spam, and slow response times.
Based on my experience with academy voices, I believe Anthony has solved these issues and will continue Providing an excellent environment for authors and narrators!
Enjoy! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Thanks, Jason! You've been with us almost from the start, so that means a lot. Can't wait for The Captain's Vices on the 31st.
I joined Academy Voices about a year ago.
in the intervening period, I've been cast for 14 of their productions, (12 released, 2 coming soon.)
They've been very supportive of my efforts, and very flexible in our dealings.
I'm delighted to recommend them to authors and narrators alike. Thanks Anthony & team!

Thanks, Paul! 14 productions in your first year is amazing. Thanks for being such a big part of what we're building.
So far, the overall layout of the site as a voice actor has been great. I love the opportunity to share my auditions and the communication between RH and performer has been awesome. I do wish there was an area under my profile to share more of my social media and to upload my standard contract for my work. This would be really useful.

Thanks, Cary! Really glad the auditions and the messaging are working for you. Social links on your profile is a great idea, and we're adding it. Thanks for the feedback.
I just started out as a narrator and compared to ACX I have found Academy Voices to be much friendlier to start out on. It’s easy to get ahold of someone for help if you need it and the response time is unparalleled. Academy Voices is very focused on providing an amazing experience all around for narrators and authors alike. Which is something I feel is missing over on ACX, where you get inundated with scam requests left and right with no real feedback or help on how to fix the problem. Academy voices vets all of their people so I know I wont have to worry about that there. ACX might be bigger overall but I think that Academy Voices is a more supportive and a safer environment for narrators. That peace of mind alone makes it well worth the small expense to join. And with their rate of growth just since I started a few months ago I see them outshining ACX very soon.
