Scam membership charges for membership after an Ironman event. Member organizations earn kickbacks so this one’s stuffed in the 30 page fine print of an Ironman registration.

Our board is very unhappy with the Active camp registration software. It is not very user-friendly for the camp or for the parents trying to register their kids. After a few years with lots of frustrations we wanted to try a different company but were told that our contract automatically renewed for three more years. The company did not give us any notice or reminders about this renewal and now we are trapped. I would not recommend this company to anyone.

We've used Active Network's Camp and Class Manager for a number of years and have found many basic lacking features. They can't arrange for families to only receive ONE email from us if a family has many children who have attended many sessions. It's embarrassing when families receive so many duplicate emails. Another basic problem is we can't adjust the date of a note made in a customers record. That feature was available in my Sage ACT database 15 years ago - it's so basic! Another problem has been customers receiving random emails from our company through their system. Another problem has been when families sign up over time and use additional emails, thus creating a new family record. IF we happen to become aware of this we can link them but if we add family notations the system forces us to choose which account to attribute the notes to. Here's yet another of the many problems... after we spend time carefully composing a mass email and proceed to send, we're notified that we've been logged out for security reasons. I don't like to think how many times I've needed to begin the process all over again, trying to remember the nuances of what was in the email. Our list of frustrations goes on and on. The company will act like they care about customer satisfaction, but honestly I've given up on anything actually getting fixed. Good luck trying to cancel the service.
