Chose this company due to the professional impression I got from Alistair and his office staff prior to work commencing, how wrong I was.. came out to do an oil to gas conversion and a shower to bath conversion.. Alistair nowhere to be seen once work commenced instead a lot of young apprentices sent to do the work, some even saying they had school the next day and no supervision of them in sight.. Day 1 plumber cracked the new bath installing it so I had the choice of a repair or no washing facilities for weeks over Christmas while a new bath came, Day 2 gas fitting should have been completed in one day, wasnt done by evening time and contractor admitted it was because they had been messing about all day, left with no heat or water in December with a baby so had to stay elsewhere, drill dropped from attic which broke landing tile, damage to bathroom ceiling, water leaks through to my kitchen ceiling, one of the lads threw the chimney off my boiler house from his ladder to the ground breaking one of my pavers then proceeded to drag it round the house scraping the rest until I went out and stopped him. On a later date they had to remove the glass shower screen to get a contractor to repair the bath and they then proceeded to try and install it again totally damaged which is actually a safety issue and luckily I seen it before they went ahead and stopped them, not even sure I actually remember every issue it has been that bad, no care, no respect for my home and caused us unimaginable stress, I have no confidence from a safety point of view this install is not dangerous or currently still damaging my home and Im just not aware yet.. worst experience ive ever had.

Excellent service from start to finish. ADS recently installed a brand new boiler for me and did a fantastic job.
The team came out quickly, were very helpful, worked thoroughly, and left everything clean and tidy afterwards.
Alistair and also the girls in the office made this experience stress free for us and were extremely helpful .

Booking this company was easy from submitting the work to the end result. New boiler, hot water cylinder, and oil tank all replaced and taken away with little fuss. All staff Ben, Alistair and girls in the office Nicolle and Alice all contributed to a smooth experience overall leaving me reassured, plus new bathroom taps replaced as a goodwill gesture when I purchased them. Very pleased. 😁

Fantastic from start to finish
ADS were so professional and efficient,
They completed my job of a leaking upstairs shower, which required lifting exciting floor and shower and shower tray, to source the problem .
Old wooden joists were repaired, new floor tiles and shower tray and doors fitted.
The whole team Alistair, Ethan, Adam and Jason worked flawlessly together getting the job done quickly and most importantly correctly.
Nicolle in the office was absolutely unreal to deal with , I felt like they had everything in hand and rang with times when plumbers,tilers joiners would be with me, they actually came when they said which is very rare nowadays .
A very happy customer and would highly recommend ADS mechanical 10/10

Originally came across ADS through an insurance claim some years ago, when they were quick responsive and efficient - used by the claims company dealing with the claim. I have used them several times since for plumbing jobs.

At the end of 2025 we had a catastrophic leak from an ensuite bathroom waste pipe into a ceiling space. ADS were quick to respond and to deal with both the initial call-out - which made the plumbing safe and recommended an "access and trace" insurance claim. ADS then quickly made the repair for us. Following on from this, as the plasterer was repairing the damaged ceiling, we discovered a (different) slow leak from a radiator above the same ceiling. ADS responded immediately to my worried call and sent out a plumber to fix it the same morning while the plasterer was on site.

All the staff and receptionists are without exception genuinely helpful, pleasant and try to do their very best for you. I would not hesitate to use ADS again and have recommended them to neighbours. A great company: fast, efficient and very competitive. I especially praise their extremely helpful and responsive telephone handlers - calm when you are feeling stressed by your problem and they deal with you as a person not just a job.

Yesterday evening I discovered my sewer was blocked and contacted my home insurance provider for assistance under the Home Emergency provision. They contacted ADS Mehanical Ltd who phoned just after 8am the next morning to confirm an engineer would arrive that day to attend to the problem. Arriving at lunchtime, he jetted the pipework, cleared the blockage within 20 minutes, with no mess. Very satisfied with communications, prompt attention and professional resolution of the problem. Sorted. Very appreciative of everyone's best efforts. No one wants a blocked sewer and it needs sorted asap because of the effect on bathroom facilities. ADS Mechanical Ltd got my system back up and working very quickly. Would definitely recommend them.

Was referred to ADS by my home emergency cover as no heating .
Nicolle was great, super efficient with organising the heating engineer first. Getting report back and then chasing CET for approval for an electrician who unfortunately need some work on their service levels including wait times and how they interact with customers at a difficult time !

We then needed an electrician which Nicolle sorted out too at ADS.
Well done , nice to see that true customer service does exist!

Boiler went on the blink , spoke with Alice at ADS she a lovely lady pleasant and was extremely helpful and organised an engineer to come out to me at very short notice. Ethan the engineer came out found the fault very quickly and organised the parts needed and fitted accordingly. A great company fast , efficient and very competitive, I must say that Alice and Ethan are an absolute asset to ADS , thank you for your help it was much appreciated

Appointment made, arrived when said, professional and courteous, service record arrived in email.

Can not rate this company more highly. They should get 6 stars! So helpful, so efficient, so communicative, so professional, so friendly. The phone is answered quickly, emails are responded to quickly, the engineers keep in touch, explaining when they will arrive and phoning if they will be late. The engineers get to the root of the problem quickly and are clean and tidy. They are upfront about costs and do all to help keep costs down (yes, really!). Would never use anyone else now!

After being ignored by a few plumbers, I called ADS Mechanical Ltd after checking some recommendations and reviews online. I got a quick response with a very reasonable quote and once I accepted the quote, the job was booked in for a few days later. The customer service is brilliant. The plumbers arrived on time, worked their socks off and cleaned up any mess they may have made as I never saw anything out of place. I would definitely recommend ADS Mechanical Ltd to anyone.
