My solar PV system stop working consistently. it required two visits to resolve. The first to confirm it wasn't an investor fault. The second visit followed on from me recording days when the system failed to work and confirmed it was a wet weather related problem. The electrician checked the wiring connections behind the panels and found one which was letting water in. He replaced this and the system started working again once it was switched back on. It's now been working fault free for several weeks so definitely a job well done.

The people I spoke to in the office were really helpful before each of the visits and the electrician who came was engaging and explained how the system operated, why it was probably a wiring fault, and what he had repaired.

The most important thing for me was that the electrician and the company were honest with me. It's a complex electrical system and it would have been very easy to convince me to replace the invertor at great expense as well as needing additional work on the wiring. At no time did I feel I was being take advantage of because of my lack of knowledge.

I had expected a huge repair bill but in the end it was just a few hours work. Really pleased with the outcome and would definitely use AJ Taylor for any other electrical work.

Outstanding firm. We had a charger for our car and powerwall fitted the workmen were friendly and really knew there stuff. We had two small issues spoke to Ashley in the office he was really helpful again. 20min later the owner of the firm called me back to settle any dispute and gave us his personal number if we had any more questions. I needed to fit some new light fixtures and fix a switch that was simply isolated, it turned out to be a regrettable experience. The guy they sent me came unprepared and seemed very incompetent. He messed around with the switch for an hour and managed to link the cables of two different rooms since then the lights in the lounge don’t work properly anymore. After wasting all that time he came out saying he needed another two hours of work to figure it out, so I just asked him to stop. 

I had to call them to explain the ridiculous situation and after a couple of days, they sent some guys who at least managed to fix the lights in the corridor. They weren’t impressed by the job done by their colleague too. I obviously refused to pay for the time wasted even if they tried to add it to the invoice.

In response to your false statement:

The lights fixtures and the LED bulbs don't have anything to do with the isolated switch which is in a different room. The lights fixtures are in the lounge and they were flickering and buzzing because the module was not dimmable. Your "qualified" electrician didn't change any switch, he just changed the module which I provided. The isolated switch is in the corridor just behind the lounge one and it was isolated by another electrician because we had a leak from the flat upstairs while he was working on the fixtures in the lounge. I contacted you because I didn't like how he was doing the job.

I don't do DIY, how did you come up with the idea I did the wiring? Your "qualified" electrician did the incorrect wiring, I had to take a video of him. The second visit shouldn't have been charged at all because they simply did what you were supposed to do on the first visit.

We have just AirCon Installed into the house and the service and professionalism has been outstanding. From the moment they came and assessed the job all the way through to the final stages they have been brilliant. We now have AirCon in two rooms and the outside unit sits on top of the extension and there is no issues at all. I also want to add that the scaffolding firm used (Marcus) was brilliant too. Very polite and professional and cleared up any mess they made. I highly recommend AJ Taylor and Marcus Scaffolding

Used AJ Taylor to carry out an electrical safety report at our rental property and they were efficient, friendly and professional throughout - would definitely use again.

We needed an EICR Certificate for our flat in Brighton which we were selling. AJ Taylor were excellent! The electrician turned up right on time, was very friendly, informative and thorough. Their prices were competitive and Phoebe was fantastic at helping us to resolve one of the advisories which came up on the inspection. If you need any electrical work done, make sure to give them a call.

AJ Taylor carry out our Portable Appliance Testing each year. They were able to book it in immediately, friendly service on the phone. Carried out with no problems, friendly service. Will use again next year.

Used AJ Taylor to replace a faulty solar generation meter. Engineer was knowledgeable, efficient and helpful. The charge was reasonable. First time using this company but would definitely use them again.

An engineer from A.J.Taylor visited our flat on the day I called their office when our hot water pump malfunctioned. The engineer checked the pump and, after advising we needed replacement values, went to order these. We we’re then informed it was better value to replace the pump which was ordered, fitted with very little mess in a timely and professional manner. I will definitely use A.J.Taylor for all future electrical needs !

Just received a bill for £60 for the engineer to say “Solar thermal panels not electric and we were unable to service”. What cheek in charging my parents who are both over 70 !

We used AJ Taylor to install the fire alarm system as part of our electrical contract with a design agency near Chichester. Ash and his team were excellent and provided the design and installation. A very neat and tidy install for a demanding client.
