Testive Reviews

I met with Alex for around 2 months and he was super friendly and helpful. Each session we were able to cover several different lessons and he always made sure I understood the content before continuing on. The strategies he taught me were effective and he was able to give me some practice worksheets in addition to the Testive questions I did every night. Overall I had a great experience!

My daughter met with Alex weekly over a two month period to prepare for the SAT. She really liked him and felt that their sessions helped to focus her studies and improve her score.

This is a really great SAT prep program. Mr. Alex Leopold is a really nice and helpful SAT prep tutor that helped me a lot with practicing for the SAT and gave me a lot of good, easy, and effective tips for taking the SAT. Thank you Mr. Leopold and thank you A-List so much for helping me be prepared to take one of the most important tests in my life.

Scott Suzel is an incredible tutor! He is extremely kind, patient, knowledgeable, and he is an outstanding teacher.

I really enjoyed working with Chris to prepare for my ACT. He was really nice and friendly and definitely helped me a lot!

I really enjoyed working with Kate on all of my Graduate application essays. She made the process fun and relaxed, while giving clear comments on my Statements of Purpose so that I could add more context and information. She worked extremely efficiently and provided an excellent service with quick feedback on my essays, resumes, and more. After working with her, I had much more confidence in my applications. I was impressed with the services offered by her company overall and thank them for their efforts. I definitely would recommend them to anyone looking for application support, graduate or otherwise!

Harley Zhu was my SAT tutor. He is an amazing teacher and very knowledgeable about the SAT and its questions. He helped me improve my score from 1300 to 1540. I highly recommend Harley for anyone looking for an SAT tutor.

I absolutely loved working with A-List! I felt like it was an extremely helpful source and it worked wonders in my college process and also helped me with my basic knowledge and helping me with the ACTs. I loved all the people I had the opportunity to work with through A-List and I would absolutely recommend them to a friend!

Harley Zhu was such an amazing tutor! He was so nice and helped me improve my ACT score from a 27 to a 32. I am so grateful for his help!

Scott Suzel is my LSAT tutor, and he is incredible! He is extremely knowledgeable about the subject material. I have studied independently and with Princeton review and scored around the 52 percentile. However, Scott's strategy is to teach the test from the test-makers perspective. This insightful approach makes the test questions so digestible. Already, my timing in the games sections has gone down from 13 minutes to an average of 9! It is truly a pleasure to have a teacher as intelligent and grounded as Scott.

I used John for both ACT and college essay tutoring and he is the GOAT! I thought I would have nothing to write a college essay about and he helped me pull out a unique and personal story. John guided me through all the steps from outlining to editing until I had an authentic, well written essay. I highly recommend John to anyone needing college essay guidance!

My son worked with Nick M. for the ISEE test for high school. Nick was kind and sociable and he helped my son enormously. Not only did Nick help him get good scores on the test, but my son is also much better at math in school because of the skills and strategies Nick taught him. He feels more confident. After every session, Nick gave us a summary of their work together and their goals for the following session. We highly recommend him!

My son worked with John Oh from A-list to prep for the SAT last year- they set a goal and in only a few sessions, they were able to exceed that goal. Not only did he give my son excellent tips and strategies, he was also a great motivator! He connected very well with my son, who is an athlete. I highly recommend John!

In 30 minutes time, Kate M. set my daughter Audrey on the right path to be able to write a concise, compelling personal statement for her college applications. Kate asked all the right questions and provided helpful suggestions to help Audrey refine/narrow down her topic, truly personalize the story, and add a bit of humor as well. We are thrilled with the outcome!

Our son had an amazing experience with Testive. He went from getting a 29 on his first practice test to getting a 34 on the actual test.

Harley, his coach / tutor, was incredibly helpful. Our son said that Harley explained things to him much more clearly than any of his teachers ever had.

I highly recommend the Testive approach and the wonderful support and flexibility they provide students preparing for the ACT. My daughter has been working with Selena, and has felt much more confident in her test taking strategies and understanding of the math that is on the test--which will serve her also going forward in her academic life. Selena is wonderful!

My daughter decided 3 weeks before her second SAT that she needed more help than self study. We signed her up for the Testive bootcamp and it was great! Sabrina was so helpful in getting us signed up and started and my daughter said Coach John was extremely helpful giving her tips and insight as well as explaining things in a way she understood. She felt very confident going into the test and her score reflected it. We believe it was money well spent.

I spent a lot of money and got zero gain for the it. My student actually didn't improve at all. There was nothing that helped her with her "Test Anxiety" and nothing in the way of coaching to address time management strategies. I can't recommend this company because this was a waste of time and money for us.

Will Eaton with Testive helped me a tremendous amount; in only two months my ACT score went from a 25 to a 30. Though we focused on ACT, even my SAT score went up 250 points. Will was very adaptive to my time constraints and really cared about the educational experience he was supplying, showing genuine support when I was falling behind and giving me encouragement to go forward. I 10/10 recommend for someone who is trying to increase his or her test scores!

My son wanted to take the ACT early. And Testive helped him get great scores his first exam (Oct of junior year) and his second exam (summer before senior year). Scored 32, then 33 (and 34 superscore). Corey was an amazing tutor. My son looked forward to their sessions. And Corey was very in tune with Benjamin's needs and they rocked it when seeing the right time to switch to taking a practice exam every week and one 60 min session instead of two 30 min sessions. And Sabrina was great in customer service. And I looked forward to my emails with her because always very helpful.
