Be extremely careful with this rental company. After returning the vehicle, I was accused of damage involving a dent and hidden scratches that were never clearly pointed out at collection. Despite the vehicle condition being documented at the start, I was later pressured to pay a very large amount.

The way this was handled felt misleading and unethical, with aggressive threats to charge my credit card if I did not comply. I strongly advise anyone renting here to take full videos, photos, and read every document carefully. My experience felt like scam-like behaviour, not professional car rental practice.

In over 20 years of renting cars, this was easily my most frustrating experience with a car rental company. This is unlike any other company I have rented from, and from arrival, I considered trying to find other options. The process was very uncomfortable for me.

The location: This is not at the airport. You'll need to take public transport to a nearby stop, then wait up to 15 minutes for their shuttle. The office is at the back of a building containing several rental desks under different brand names, which I found confusing. They're all owned by the same company and all bill as "Car Rental Square," which gave me the impression of competition that didn't actually exist.

The booking process: I was asked to provide bank statements, which I declined. They also don't accept American Express, which was my first indication something was amiss. The price quoted at the desk was higher than what I had booked on their website, in the same currency (GBP to GBP). The explanation given was "foreign currency exchange rates," which didn't make sense to me. Somehow, in their conversion from GBP to GBP, the rate increased. Figure that out.

The damage claim: Upon return, they claimed wheel damage and initially mentioned approximately £400, but held approximately £2,000 on my card. I have video documentation of the car's condition at pickup and return, and the damage they describe doesn't appear in my footage. I am disputing this charge with my bank and expect the bank to side with me.

Overall: Based on the pricing discrepancy, the invasive document requests, and a damage claim my own video evidence doesn't support, I would not rent from this company again.

I have hired many cars around the world. Bar far, this was the best experience in renting a car. Usman & Jash were both professional and friendly. The car, a Peugeot 3008, was brand new and perfect for our needs. The price was also extremely competitive. Highly recommend.(Flexways car rental at Heathrow)

Unless you’re a backpacker travelling solo with unlimited time and zero expectations, Allegiance is guaranteed to ruin your trip.

I’ve rented cars for over 20 years, on 5 continents, and this is hands down the pettiest and most miserable rental operation I’ve ever encountered.

I had the misfortune of dealing with Allegiance on 14-Jan-2026, via broker CarJet (Booking Ref. CJT197587653). The experience was so bad that I’m writing this purely as a public service announcement.

🚩 “Heathrow Airport” rental — in marketing only

This is sold as a London Heathrow Airport rental, complete with airport surcharge. Reality check:

To collect the car you must:
- take the Piccadilly Line to Hatton Cross,
- phone the garage,
- wait 40–45 minutes for a shuttle,
- then be driven off-site.

From any Heathrow terminal to actually getting the car: 90–120 minutes minimum, assuming no traffic.

That’s not an airport rental.
It’s an off-site shed wearing an airport costume.

On return, they won’t drop you at a terminal (to avoid a £7 airport fee). Instead, you’re dumped at a nearby hotel and told to:
- walk 10 minutes over a suspended bridge, or
- pay for alternative transport yourself.

Unacceptable.

🏚️ Location & “reception”
The operation sits behind Vista Business Centre in Hounslow, sharing space with other so-called rental companies.

The “reception” looks like a storage room:
- no seating,
- no proper desk,
- no professionalism.

Confidence-inspiring? Not quite.

🤦 Customer service (if you can call it that)
The only thing worse than the reception is the person behind it — clueless, arrogant, and making up rules as they go.

They demanded documents not required by their own rental conditions, applied their own interpretations, and refused to help when issues arose with the broker.

This is the business model:
- the broker takes your money,
- Allegiance does whatever it wants,
- and you’re left stranded between two companies pointing fingers at each other.

🚗 The cars
Condition varies — but the ones I saw were more dented than Rocky Balboa’s face at the end of those famous ’80s movies.

⚠️ Final warning
Allegiance has a habit of threatening customers online for negative reviews. Ignore that. Companies worth using don’t need intimidation to survive.

Bottom line:
Avoid Allegiance unless you enjoy wasted time, manufactured problems, and starting your trip in frustration. Plenty of car rental companies exist — this is not one you should gamble your holiday on.

I left my wallet in a rented car which their employees found and handed in and the team then contacted me. They put it in a safe and handled the situation with professionalism. I was impressed with the trust and honesty - well done to the team

Jash was absolutely fantastic, I had the best car I have driven so far. Excellent service, definitely coming back

Insurance Sales pitch once in the door!!! Not what one needs on Xmas Day! Customer problem with credit card, company not interested in finding a customer satisfactory solution. Only interested in making money from customer in a difficult situation!!! Will stick to Brand name companies like Herz Sixt Eurocar and the others from now on. Written explanation from Shuttle and underground use miss leading... one could think that shuttle was to and from Airport to company location!!!

With frankly incredible prices for hiring a car over Xmas, I wanted to check I could return it at the weekend. Zero customer service however. There's no phone number on the website, so I emailed their 'customercare' email address asking a couple of questions. No reply. I followed the old adage: if it looks too good to be true, it probably is.

The warmth, smile and assistance from all staff from the phone call to be collected to the drop off. I could feel Nelson’s smile over the phone, Aaron picked me up looking super smart and chirpy too. Carried my case and had good chat. Drop off easy, no wait, 5 min wait for drop off back to train station. Nelson was my driver, also very polite and helpful. Location worked well for me, will be my preferred go to moving forward. Probably the best car hire team I have encountered… and I hire cars often. Keep hold of these people, they are doing your business proud!
