Thank you for taking the time to share this. I can completely understand why this experience has been so frustrating.

Receiving the wrong name once is confusing enough, but for it to happen multiple times isn’t acceptable, and I’m really sorry you had to deal with that. That’s on us.

I also want to reassure you on a couple of points. All of your emails were responded to personally by our Head of Customer Care, Shannen. The quick responses were because the issue was ongoing, and we wanted to stay proactive and keep things moving for you. I’m really sorry if that came across as impersonal.

In terms of what actually happened here, this was caused by a very rare technical issue. It’s something we very rarely see, which is why it took longer than it should have to fully resolve. That doesn’t change your experience, but I do want to be transparent that this isn’t something customers would normally encounter.

Regarding your refund, I can see this has been processed from our side. The timing can depend on your bank, so it can take a few working days to appear, depending on their processing times.

And just to reassure you, we never expected you to return the bottles. This wasn’t your fault, so we wouldn’t ask you to go through the hassle of sending anything back.

I’m really sorry again that this was your first experience with us; it’s not reflective of the standard we aim for at all.

Hi Jon,

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience, and I’m really sorry for the frustration this situation caused.

I can see that when you first contacted us about the incorrect name on the bottle, we arranged a replacement straight away. Unfortunately, the same name appeared again, which clearly should not have happened. At that point, our technical team investigated and identified that a rare system error had incorrectly linked another name to your account.

Our team corrected the issue and sent out a new order with the correct details. However, when your next refill was processed, the error unfortunately resurfaced as the root cause turned out to be deeper than initially expected. Because this was an isolated technical issue rather than a common problem, it took our developers longer than usual to fully resolve.

I completely understand why this experience caused a loss of trust, and I’m very sorry for the inconvenience it caused you. While situations like this are extremely rare, we do take them seriously and use them to improve our systems so they don’t happen again.

Thank you for giving Alyve a try, and I do sincerely apologise again that your experience didn’t reflect the level of service we aim to provide.
