Awful company, terrible customer service. Honestly one of the worst customer service experiences in my life. They don’t have the stock up to date on the website so it lets you place an order just to find out later that something is out of stock. Because they don’t read the emails properly my order was delayed by 2-3 weeks, just going back and forth for weeks because they weren’t answering to what I wrote but to something they made up in their heads instead. And then they offered NOTHING to make it better. They just don’t care. I hope nobody will buy from them again.

These people are shameless. Pretend they are Australian company on the website but the company does not exist. I order the tallow balm beginning july 24
$65 plus post $85
Have not heard back after many emails and messenger message. A disgrace. I am lodging my issue with shop ify and my bank to get my money returned.

I am very disappointed with A Mama's Apothecary. On Saturday 3rd August 2024, I placed an order and received a confirming email with an Order Number. It is now 10 days later and there has been no follow up email stating my order has been sent, nor have I received my product - which should have been here by now as it is only coming from the next state. I replied to the email confirmation enquiring when I could expect to receive my product, only for the email to bounce back with a message stating that the email account does not exist. I then sent a communication through the Contact Us page on the website but have had no response - that was 4 days ago. I found a mobile phone number and rang that - only for it to ring and ring and ring out. I then went on to Google to see if I could find any further contact details and there was a notice saying the company was "Permanently Closed". Whaaaaat? Who on earth has a website marketing products, can take your money but is closed? I don't know what is going on here, but I have contacted Shopify and will be lodging a claim through them as the company is in breach of Shopify's terms and conditions. BUYER BEWARE!!!!!

I have placed multiple orders through this company. What I have noticed is:
- tallow will vary batch to batch. My guess is this is because of acquisition of product and is logical for it to vary.
- I found that the shipping times are inaccurate. Expect a wait for 6-8 weeks from ordering. This is not only due to AusPost (who does a lot of deliveries to me).
- I had the company decide not to send an item. Yes they refunded the money but they didn’t refund enough to purchase it again off sale and they didn’t consider shipping costs. They also didn’t contact me by email and they have not apologised.
- I ordered one product twice. The first time because I had no knowledge what to expect, I assumed it was the correct product. The second time it came, it is clear that at least one order is a fake and was the wrong thing sent. This also has not been given an apology or refund or anything else. The problem was actually so obvious that I can show these items to people with no knowledge at all and they would state they are different products.
While in general, things seem okay, clearly if something goes wrong, the owners will not take responsibility and do not care. They don’t follow any sort of normal customer service and seem to blame everyone but themselves. (I guess the elves packed the wrong things and didn’t bother to make what I ordered or something?) Therefore any orders you place are at your own risk.
