Ambulance sent after test.
I got a phone call from American Alarm saying that I should check my alarm button. I pushed the necklace button and when connected to American Alarm I told the person it was just a test and the green light came back on the base sending unit. About 10 minutes later my doorbell rang and it was an ambulance from the fire department. I explained that I simply did a test and told them I was okay. They asked to see the necklace button and I showed it to them. After taking down my name they left. I called American Alarm and explained what happened. The agent talked me through how to reset the base sending unit. Next time I do a test I will call the fire department first to let them know they should ignore any calls from American Alarm for the next 30 minutes or so.

I lost power during the terrible storm…
I lost power during the terrible storm in Cape Cod and was given instructions on how to open the box downstairs and that the key would be on the box. It turned out there was no key the police came, and then the fire department came, and they unscrewed the screws and detached the battery several days later when the power went back on, I called Malfy Alarm and told them that I wanted my alarm system, checked to make sure that everything was working and no one ever called me back that was two weeks ago
