Updated: Since writing this review, the leadership team personally reached out. I appreciated the gesture and the time taken, in addition to some personal advice given. While I still stand by my original concerns, I recognize the effort to address them and wanted to reflect that here.

Original review: Amicable has added stress to an already painful experience. The biggest issue has been support communication. Different support agents dip in and out of our case without context, often asking the same questions repeatedly and causing delays to our timeframes.

I’ve received emails that turned out to be “glitches”, including distressing ones about court submissions that had supposedly already happened weeks ago.The experience has been disorganized.

Our advisor Shreepali was able to help my ex husband and I through the process in a calm way. Her gentle approach enabled us to resolve our differences in an adult manner without unnecessary conflict.

Thank you amicable for existing and enabling my husband and I to agree on a consent order. It's been quite a journey but Shreepali was wise and patient and helped us move through the different steps in the process, and enabled us to understand and discuss our options. Once we had agreed on an option, the order was written up and sent to the judge.
I have also found the amicable podcast a great source of wisdom around the many aspects divorce. Thank you.

We had great support from Amicable from start to end for our separation agreement and eventual divorce. Sue, the advisor was always very clear in what we needed to do, explaining things promptly and simply. If you get along with your ex partner, and want to keep it simple and agree to things already amicable is a great service to sort out a lot of the logistics.

Our first intro 15 minute call was cancelled. I understand this can happen so we rescheduled. Bear in mind I am co-ordinating with my ex wife - and it is amicable but we need to arrange diaries etc. We got lots of reminders for our call with Anthony, and joined the teams link but he was a no show. I emailed to say we were waiting - but no response. I then called them directly - this was just when that call was about to finish - and was told he had noted we didn't attend the call. However, he wasn't available. It was 4.30 on a very sunny Thursday - not sure if that had anything to do with it. I wrote an email to "help", "anthony" and "sara.Shanahan" but received no response.
I then received 8 emails all asking me to review my experience.
I emailed again and to date (4 working days on) have had no acknowledgement from any of the email addresses.
This has put pressure and created an issue with my wife and I, as I was proposing using Amicable. I will look for an alternative - or we will just need to spend the money on normal solicitors.
Amicable also need to get hold of the technology - Teams links and Calendarly.
Very disappointed.

Updated: We have been contacted by Senior management at Amicable and they have bent over backwards to address the above issues. As with many IT platforms we were able to confirm there was an outage. This combined with some process issues caused the situation. We were impressed with the approach and have now signed up for their service. I have left the review at 3 stars as they should have anticipated some of the issues. However, I will be happy to post a second review based on the actual service received. So far so good!

Easy, helpful, responsive. Clear and just handy!

I cannot recommend Amicable enough - they provided me with an excellent service from start to finish. Emma was very personable, clear and responsive and made the divorce experience as straightforward as it could possibly be.

Mark handled what has been a very sensitive and emotional process with professionalism and empathy, his clear communication throughout has really helped to reduce a lot of anxiety. His support and efficiency in keeping us both informed made a difficult situation feel more manageable, and I’m genuinely grateful for that.

Our experience was smooth and straightforward and amicable did exactly what they said they would. We had already agreed the terms of our divorce and how to split our finances but unsure how to navigate the legal system. The quotes we had from lawyers were eye watering but amicable helped us arrange our divorce for exactly the amount specified on their website with no fuss. Our consultant Mark was a helpful, kind and responsive guide to the process. Would give amicable 5 stars, our legal system 0 stars.

My ex and I used Amicable and found them not fair, biased, unhelpful, and they only focus my wife’s interest mainly rather both. I repeated call out this unfair treatment multiple times. I had to escalate this to get help (to Emma) - in my opinion, for mediators to behave try this way is unprofession and told me this firm has deep issues with the business and their disregard to their customers.
- me and my ex get on well, but every turn Rebecca (mediator from Amicable) tried harm or frustrated the process between both
- ask you not to use this business and suggest to use some else that will respect you, for obvious reasons.

My ex and I had already reached an agreement about how to divide our finances but weren't confident in doing all the paperwork and submissions ourselves. We opted for the Assisted Consent Order Service as had dependent children, properties and pensions to consider. Our advisor Mark G was responsive and personable - I never felt rushed and he made everything very clear and understandable. I feel lucky to have had such a straightforward and unacrimonious divorce with amicable's support.

We were allocated Emma Bennett to manage our case. She was amazing! She would always call me back if busy and would spend time talking things through with me. I understand they must deal with all sorts of emotions from people, but she was supportive, practical and so understanding throughout. Thank you so very much

The dashboard made the process very clear and organised

From the outset, my experience with Amicable was smooth and straightforward. My ex-wife and I were in a position to be able to resolve all issues regarding our divorce during the process. It made sense to use the service provided by Amicable to facilitate our divorce. This included being steered through some moderately complicated financial issues regarding pension sharing.
Really importantly, at all times, I felt supported by our divorce specialist, Sue Gibbons. I knew that she was always there to prompt me to read, fill-in and return forms. And, her personal touch was very reassuring. Thanks again, Sue!
The service was excellent value for money. When I hear of the many thousands that friends and colleagues have paid to get a divorce finalised, it felt ever better value. But, this was essentially because my ex and I were able to agree on how to fairly split the house sale proceeds, debts, savings, pensions etc.
I don’t intend getting divorced again. But if I did, I would not hesitate to employ Amicable’s services again.

Sarah Warwick was excellent in all respects, professional, understanding, patient, timely in her contact and correspondence, and honest and reassuring. I could not fault her in the Amicable service she provided.

Sadly, our divorce process evolved to be much less 'amicable' than I had anticipated, yet Kate and her team took everything in their stride. Kate was faultlessly professional, diplomatic and supportive to both of us throughout. She did not hesitate to go beyond the call of duty when the situation demanded and I cannot recommend her and her company highly enough. Thank you, Amicable.

Brilliant service and team

Having just finalised my divorce with Amicable, I would highly recommend their services. Highly professional, compassionate and understanding - just the combination you need at such an emotional time

Good value for money. One point of contact throughout with direct line access. The process was explained thoroughly and questions answered promptly. Emails sent to both parties so always kept informed how the service is progressing.
The service is only suitable if you are both in agreement and have decided how to split your assets. You are however given the option to seek independent financial advice but obviously this would be an additional cost.

Patient, kind, thorough service. We had a slightly unusual financial agreement, and Lucy and the drafting team took so much care and attention to drafting it in the clearest way possible. We didn't feel rushed, and felt supported every step of the way with everything explained clearly and all questions answered. Really personable and sensitive service for an odd time.

The whole process was so simple and perfect for us as my ex-husband and I are still amicable ourselves!
We wanted a simple clean break with Financial Consent Order and we both saved a lot of money by using Amicable. They kept us updated and the whole process was remarkably straight forward.
