ApplianceTek are just what you want…

ApplianceTek are just what you want from a supplier, great knowledge and the ability to deliver on time and install correctly.

In my recent case an appliance failed within the manufacturer's warranty period, it was quickly removed and a new machine installed.

I don't know about you, but I like a professional company, who cares about their clients, well that's what you get from ApplianceTek in spades.

Professional and reliable appliance providers and repairers.

We have always found this company to be reliable and professional. They provide good service in a timely manner. We have found them to be honest about repairs needed and have installed and repaired appliances with care and consideration to the property. They have also helped us at short notice when needed. We would highly recommend them.

Our experience with appliancetek was excellent! They were prompt, professional, and fixed our issue quickly. The technician was knowledgeable and courteous, and the pricing was fair. I highly recommend them for any repair needs.

Helpful friendly company

Would definitely recommend. Jess, who works in office was helpful and friendly. The engineer texted first thing in the morning to give us a 4 hour window and came within it. He replaced the washing machine seal competently and efficiently, and was also pleasant and friendly. Charges reasonable with unlimited labour on the call out charge.

Failed at every interaction

EDIT 2: Since submitting my review, ApplianceTEK have refunded me the full amount

EDIT: In response to the reply:

(1) They offered a booking form where you could pick slots. I also confirmed multiple times via the phone and email. I would have picked another day had they not offered time slots

(2) I was not told about this policy and was not asked, they simply started putting my food on the floor. I moved it straight away

(3) to quote the 'report' I was told that if defrosting didn't work there would be nothing else I could do. The entire report is as follows:

"On Inspection engineer diagnosed that the fridge and the freezer are not functioning as per the temperature setting. The back and side panel of the appliance is completely frozen. Engineer has advised to defrost the appliance for 24hours to melt down the ice. If the problem persists, engineer has stated that most likely there is a refrigerant leak. Please note that refrigerant leak is irreparable"

(4) Simply a lie. They asked to see the report so they could train their staff, they didn't offer a refund. Here's the email from the company's director:

"I would be interested to see the report from another technician if you have arranged one. Once they have attended, if you would be willing to share the report with us it would be appreciated. If the outcome is different / if our technician was incorrect in regards to the fixability of the machine or diagnosis, I would like to be able to use this for implementing further training for example and correcting our service where we find weaknesses."

(5) They never offered a refund, in any circumstance. I didn't instruct another company, I called the manufacturer for advice and literally repaired it myself. The proof is that it works. I have the old thermostat still, too, yet this is apparently not enough for a refund.

ORIGINAL REVIEW:

What can only be described as insultingly poor. Every single touchpoint has been awful. They misdiagnosed the issue, I learned enough about fridges through 30 minutes of Googling to complete the repair on my own after they told me to throw the fridge away.

The issues include:

Lateness. I was promised the technician would arrive before 4pm. I had an important meeting at 4pm so confirmed this with them multiple times. They arrived late and I missed my meeting

Cleanliness. The technician didn't wash their hands when they arrived and immediately took everything out of my fridge, put it on the floor and left it there. They didn't offer to put it back before leaving

Value. It cost £96 for under 10 minutes. The technician was clearly only interested in leaving. They told me they were late and had somewhere else to be. I paid £96 to be inconvenienced and informed by a professional that it could not be repaired. Had I taken their poor advice, this would've cost me hundreds more in replacing the fridge.

Expertise. They said to defrost it and if it didn't work, I'd have to replace it. This was incorrect. I've since repaired the fridge myself by replacing the thermostat. Had they spent more than 10 minutes on the visit, they might have figured this out. I'd imagine that this is table stakes for an appliance repair company

Management. I complained and have not received a refund. The director asked what the solution was so they could train their staff (in their own words). Wildly insulting

I hate writing negative reviews, but there were so many opportunities to have made things right. I would implore you to look elsewhere.

We are sorry you are unhappy with our service.
All day slots are standard 08:00-18:00 however we try adhering to requests as much as possible.

Food should always be removed from appliance before visit so engineer can carry out work. Engineer did offer to help and customer said yes to leave anywhere.

Engineer asked client to conduct a defrost on appliance and to report back after appliance was defrosted.

Customer mentioned he instructed another company for second opinion.
Director offered to deal with situation accordingly if report provided from another technician proves incorrect diagnosis, intended to be full refund as well as using information to evaluate engineer performance and improving services. Customer reluctant to provide report & proof when requested.

ApplianceTEK engineers are CPD / City & Guilds Qualified.
Our repairs are covered by The ApplianceTek Assurance (6 Month Guarantee parts & labour) - if the diagnosis is proven wrong by a reputable company and proof provided we will refund the customer.

Repair of Washing machine

I had a visit from an ApplianceTek repairman on Thursday. The repairman called to let me know that he would be 25 minutes away and arrived soon after. The repairman resolved my issue quickly. He was professional and polite and explained the issue with the washing machine quite quickly. I was pleased and the price was reasonable compared to what I would have had to pay for a new machine. Great service.

We have used ApplianceTek with our managing agent for numerous years and my experience with them has been great. Their efficiency in attending to repairs and carrying out replacement is great and makes a property manager's work less stressful.
Appliance Tek is able to offer expert advice to help troubleshoot problems which can be a great time saver!

As a property manager Appliance tek is the best company I have ever dealt with.

Professional and quick service repairing our dishwasher

Professional and quick service-- needed help as our dishwasher stopped working. They got an engineer out the next day. They gave a wide window for arrival which was narrowed down the morning of the repair. Engineer was on time, and quickly did the repair. Pleased with the solution, and would definitely work with the company again

Re APPLIANCETEC, I recommend this company. I called them to repair our oven. The engineer was very polite and worked out what the problem was. The part took a week or so to come. The engineer fixed the problem quickly.

A problems made easy

It was easy to arrange an appointment. Their website was easy to use. They ordered the part immediately and it arrived quickly. They kept me updated as to the time the engineer would arrive. He phoned me when he was nearby and arrived on time. He did a quick repair, cleared up after himself and explained how I could avoid a future problem. He was very polite and helpful. Overall good experience

Very happy with the service received

Very happy with the service received. They were quick to respond and very quick to get someone out here to look at our fridge. The engineer was great; knowledgeable and friendly. Everything was fixed during one visit. They also had very reasonable prices.

Honest and trustworthy people

Honest and trustworthy people!

I had an issue with my freezer and like a newbie I had no idea what to do! Phoned up the team and spoke to Jess who greeted me with a warm welcome and assured me it’s probably an issue with over freezing of ice. She suggested defrosting the freezer and call back if i still had issues. She did all she could to save me some money and not save an engineer coming over. Alas that did fix the issue and could t thank her enough!

Highly recommend if anybody wants an honest service
