Ascent has been around for about 25 years. I first used them in 2013 for a PC build, and most recently in May 2025. They're a solid and trusted place to buy from and have a great reputation in the NZ tech community.

My most recent order went great. They had the best price on a high-end SD card and also had some specific batteries I needed and couldn't find elsewhere. Their automated order tracking is great, with frequent emails alerting of backorders and shipping process. Very quick organisation and delivery dependent on courier and supplier; one "backorder" item showed up in 48 hours, well beyond expectation.

I've bought a number of electronic items from Ascent over the years. And without exception they have filled my order promptly and professionally. Even when I returned items, they were always courteous and easy to talk to. Overall a very good company to deal with.

I am the IT Manager and Engineer for a medium size organization (80+ staff) and deal with and order from a number of online suppliers. Ascent are always my first port of call and I would always check with them first before ordering any item. This is not just because they are often the best price (when shipping is include) but also because they are EXCELLENT at support and at resolving any issues around any orders. They also are very good at keeping you informed with ETAs and at tracking shipping. I highly recommend them as a supplier and would recommend that you always at least check them for comparison. Even if they do not have the item you would like listed, I have always found them willing to try an source what you need.
