DHI Hair Transplant Review

Hi, it has been 13 days now since my hair transplant. I didn’t really know what to expect through this process as I have never done anything like this before. The procedure took about 6-7 hours to perform and they used about 3,100 grafts. It is a long process but it will be awesome when everything has completely healed.

For me the best part of this process has been the help and support from everyone at the clinic. I have never been to Istanbul before and they couldn’t have made this process any more comfortable to go through. Ali is amazing as he can answer any question that I have about this entire process. I feel very lucky and fortunate to have chosen Dr. Ufuk Askeroglu’s clinic to perform this hair transplant.

Through these 13 days everything has gone great. I have minor swelling in my head but it has gotten better and better with each day that goes by. I will report back as this process still has quite a ways to go.

Everything went well until the day of the operation. When we arrive at the hospital, the smell of potatoes fills the place. I found it very strange. I've never been to a hospital that smelled like cheap food

Unlike the very classy hotel, the hospital is dilapidated, as are the furniture, the rooms, the equipment; This worried me a lot and at that moment I hesitated. I had to take an x-ray, when I returned to the room, there was a huge hole in the wall with lots of electrical wires sticking out everywhere. A man was touching the wires without any protection (which is dangerous) while I was having the x-ray (with a doctor who does not speak English and who mimes the gestures and positions to take...)

Once settled in my room, the doctor came, with the interpreter, Ali, and I immediately felt an unhealthy atmosphere. Very strange.
After the operation the worst happened. The driver was 30 minutes late, which meant I missed my plane. Ali accused me of being responsible for the delay, saying that I had to take a walk and drink coffee, even though I was already very late. The next flight was at 1700th!!!!! Ali did everything to clear customs, he didn't want to pay me another ticket and offered me a reduction on a future operation (even though I wasn't even sure I would return to France...?!!!- J I was treated very badly by Ali once the operation was done, and especially after I paid. These people are merciless. They are only there for your money.

Finally, after much insistence, Ali got me a plane ticket (with an even more low-cost airline) and booked me a hotel; I had to have a driver but ultimately no, no explanation. Once there at the low-coast hotel, I argued with Ali because I found his behavior unacceptable. I had no more money and the restoration costs were not taken into account: these people do not want to pay a SINGLE EURO for you as long as you have paid them for the operation. money, money, money, that's the only thing that interests them.

But the most important thing is the result: there is no result, I paid even more than in France and there is no result.

These people are malicious. If you doubt these testimonies, if Dr Ufuk and his teams succeed in fooling you, making you believe that our testimonies are false, go ahead, you will see for yourselves and you will lose money. They spend their time saying that the people in the testimonials are liars paid by competitors, don't be fooled!

It's a big scam.

Don't let yourself be fooled by the communications, especially the hotel, the driver etc etc; the rest does not follow.

every time they try to defend themselves they say that people have mental health problems, they don't want to question themselves and are ready for anything, all lies, all manipulations, they even accused me for saying that I had mental health problems and that I would have spoken to them about it but in this case: why did you agree to accept me if I have mental health problems?

In France, when a doctor learns that the person has psychological problems, they do not operate on them, that seems logical to me.

aesthetic tourism is not surrounded by any regulations, no laws, no insurance; when you arrive in a foreign country to have an operation, there is very little traceability, you are in the hands of people who can make you believe anything and above all, lie, clear customs, do not not assume: once you have paid, the rest no longer matters to them and they will be ready to tell any lies via message to continue to steal from people (how can you verify their statements? impossible-

I recently underwent the Trinity Lift, Bella Eyes, SOS, and Fat Transposition around the upper eye with Dr. Ufuk, and my experience was great from start to finish.

From the beginning, communication with the clinic was seamless and efficient. They were responsive and organized everything meticulously for my arrival in Istanbul. The 5-star hotel they booked for me was excellent, and I was greeted at the airport with their transfer service, which made the whole process stress-free.

Dr. Ufuk and his wonderful team were incredibly welcoming and professional. At the clinic, I was given a thorough assessment, and Dr. Ufuk offered personalized recommendations tailored to my facial structure and desired results. It was very important to me that the results looked natural and harmonious, and Dr. Ufuk reassured me that this was his priority as well.

The surgery itself went smoothly, and I felt I was in very capable, professional hands throughout the entire process. My stay at the hospital was comfortable, with attentive care provided by the staff. The clinic also arranged all necessary transfers between the hotel and hospital, which I greatly appreciated.

Overall, the clinic went above and beyond to ensure I was comfortable and supported during my stay. I am now on day 7 of recovery and feeling positive about the process so far. I spent 5 days in Istanbul before heading home, where I will have my stitches removed by my local doctor.

While it’s still too early to assess that the final results reflect the natural look I desired due to swelling, I am confident that once it subsides, the outcome will align with my expectations.

I highly recommend Dr. Ufuk and his team for their expertise, professionalism, and attentiveness. My experience has been very positive, and I am already feeling optimistic about the results.

I am one of the doctor's patients that have had a traumatic experience with this clinic and surgery. First of all, reading the doctor's wife response on every negative review "it's competitors who feel threatened" or "it's haters" is simply ridiculous. Why do you feel so important that people spend time on you ? Your competitors / colleagues just do their job working with patients, not like you with an obsession for branding and reviews (this is my personal opinion).

If you were producing quality results, continuously, over time, you would not have such a problem dealing with negative reviews. Telling your patients this is the competition, or that reviews are AI generated is another of your lies. Saying to every negative review one is not your patient (but the positive anonymous ones you thank dearly), is another of your lies, so is to let people think every negative review is a scam. Realself & Trustpilot all have a system in place to check every single review; do not lie to people. Be honest about so many of your frustrated patients. So many of the innocent lives you have altered, some destroyed, like mine.

Doctor Ufuk told me in my face he has done a mistake. But you (the wife, Ms Clinic Director) have never accepted that. You tell all of us we are the only unhappy patient, but now everything comes to light. And luckily there will be more coming to light.

Trusting you was the biggest mistake of my life. How can you live with this?
How can you look in the mirror and get on with your life? Why do you lie about everything? The expectations, the risks, the experience. From start to finish, nothing this clinic has said was reliable.

It appears that you have a big problem with negative reviews, and many random overly positive reviews appear. It says from "GB" but the language is so bad, it surely is not an English person.
Further below, you asked your assistant Can to write a review (Cemre Can Abaci - see below), he works with you. Why would he post a review now, and highlight how great the team is and thank the Clinic Director ? (Simply because you asked him to, because there are many people realising the lies and have spoken them out).

In my experience, the doctor is a puppet of his wife. That's how I saw it. She doesn't know what she is talking about medically, but feels entitled as she is "managing the clinic". She is the gatekeeper. She decides about prices, and decides what story to tell which patient.

Dr Askeroglu may not be a bad surgeon, but as you can see in many reviews, he does not produce consistent , quality, satisfying results. And the way you are dealing with that is very poor. You cut off all communication the moment someone is mentioning thing's have gone wrong. It's easy for you to treat international patients like this from the far. Same like you did with me. You told me everything is normal.
Until I made a decision to come see you in person, and the doctor finally saw me (I believe you may not even have showed him my pictures).

The care and attention I have received by you is below any third world medical standard, I am sorry to say. You simply don't care (my experience).
You didn't care about proper surgical risks information, about your patients feeling at ease (you simply left me alone in a Turkish hospital without anyone to talk to), you lied to me about translations, you lied to me about everything.

I have gone through a nightmare. My life is not the same anymore. And you keep telling people this is all AI, or your colleagues doing this!?? Shame on you. All you care about is your image. Your instagram. And making people believe you are "the best".

(This is only a guess, but you may be giving discounts to people who do videos with you for instagram / write positive reviews about you on every platform (you just gave a speech at a Uni in Turkey about branding, and you especically called out how important patient reviews are) .. again, this I don't know. Given the same review shows up on every single platform, and they all have received "VIP treatment" I would assume so (only my two cents).)

Form your own opinion, do your research. Ask them about the negative reviews (and see if you want to believe their answer); have a read on Realself, too. Read through Google. There are hints everywhere. I wish I would have seen them.

I had an operation on my eyes (Bella Eyes). I am happy with the results, so Dr Ufuk and the team get 5 stars.

The camera team takes profile fotos and the planning starts. I spent one night in hospital with a night nurse ( Saint Can)who kept me pain free and comfortable after the surgeries. It is now almost nine months ago that dr Ufuk performed surgery on my face. So now the final result is very visible and i am very happy with it. Dr Ufuk did a deep plane neck lift with platismaplasty, a deep plane facelift, a trinity mid face lift, endoscopic browlift and upper blepharoplasty and an upper direct lip lift. I have selected dr Ufuk because of his experience with trinity lift and on the basis of recommendation by Justin, another patient of the dr. I have not regretted for a minute my choice. The treatment by dr Ufuk and his staff were very good and pleasant. I have returned several times since the surgery for check-ups and every time it has been a pleasant experience.

I cannot describe their excellent service and excellent customer service in words. During my lip left procedure, I was taken care off by Dr Ufuk loving and caring group. My lip procedure was done fast and after an hour, I was fully awake and went to my hotel all by myself. I strongly recommend their services to others. I consider them as my family and in the future, if I decide to have more cosmetic procedures, definitely I will choose Dr Ufuk. I love all his clinic members and miss them all.

I did a lot of research before undergoing for any surgery. I saw the doctor’s instagram account and I really loved the natural looking he gives to his patients, this was one of the main reasons I wanted to go with him.
So I did Bella eyes, direct liplift and chin implant. I first had conversation for several months with the assistant Derya who is very kind, explain everything to you, twice or more if you don’t understand. 😂 They provided 5 nights of hotels for me as I had multiple surgeries.
Then went the time of my surgeries
-Day 1: I arrive at the airport, a personal driver comes to take you to their office. When arriving everyone welcomes you so well and while you fill up the papers they offer you some tea.
For the appointment: first you have your photo taken and after you can talk about what you want with the surgeon. His wife/assistant was speaking a bit more than the surgeon himself (who was really concentrated on the pictures of my face to see what he could do👌🏻). I assumed he didn’t talked a lot of English, but it was ok if he’s good at what he does and understand my needs it’s all I want! 😆
The surgeon is really calm, concentrated and kind. They explain me what I wanted to know, I showed them what I wanted with some photoshop edited pics of me that I did before (better like that they can really see what you have in mind). They told me I could do a trinity lift as my chicks was a bit going down and because the scar of the Bella eyes is the same when doing trinity lift. I really would loved to do it but didn’t had so much money 😂 (they can wait 2 months for you to pay as they told me but really couldn’t 😅, but it’s nice that they do some effort for something that wasn’t in your plans..)
When your appointment is over you can go to your hotel with the same driver.
-Day 2: day of surgery. Driver come pick you up from the hotel to the hospital. Derya (your assistant) comes too to translate when you do paper works and other tests as taking blood, radiography..etc. You see the anaesthetist and the surgeon then you good to go to the operation room. When you wake up the nurse is there for you if you need anything, he comes frequently to check on you and see if everything’s ok.
- Day 3: When you see yourself better you are a bit too lifted, everything is a bit too tight, I couldn’t close my mouth, but I knew it was part of the process, don’t be afraid, at first it’s always a bit too much and you can’t see the result at all. You have breakfast and lunch at the hospital. It was a bit hard to eat as my lips wasn’t touching because of the surgery (and I didn’t want to force on anything). The driver will come pick you. I suggest you take a face mask and some hat to cover your face when you’re outside (like that nobody will stares at you 😂)
-Day 4: you can do what you want but you will need some rest.
-Day 5: I had an appointment with the surgeon and his team at their office. They changed some of my bandages around my mouth. At this time I could close my mouth normally. Then you can go back to your hotel with the driver.
-Day 6 to 7 you do what you want. You will need that face mask when going to eat on restaurant or in the hotel, it will be much better for you when moving around if you’re concern about people staring at you at all the time. Derya (the assistante) was consistently writing me messages/voice messages and calling me to see if I was ok, if anything you can contact her she’s the best!
-Day 8: I had a last appointment with the surgeon and his team. They took my lips bandages off to take pictures and then put new ones. They told me for my medications and when I had to take off my stitches and then I was good to go to the airport!
If you’re wondering about the pain I had almost nothing at all, just the 2 or 3 days was a bit painful for my eyes and some small headaches, but not much, so it’s manageable.
Over all I’m super happy! I love my results, it’s been just 3 weeks but I feel really pretty! I dreamed of those lips for years now so I’m so so happy! My eyes are still a bit swollen but so far so good I can already see the difference! I’ve no longer have eyes going down but pretty almond eyes! And for my chin it’s not noticeable at all, so natural! I had difficulties reaching my upper lips before and at night I couldn’t sleep without my mouth wide open so I was snoring a lot.. Now my mouth close perfectly and I have those amazing lips! 😍
Don’t hesitate to go to him and his team! Derya is the most nice person I met there, so friendly so kind, you can ask her everything! You won’t regret it, for me it was 100% worth it!

I have done my rhinoplasty but I was very very said about it, it dropped day by day and finally it was like I have never done nose job.
