Beware of AsmartIt Scam - Ajay Ambani

I received a promotional call from a company called AsmartIt from number (415 666 2264 - called him Ajay Ambani) claiming to give a discount of 30% on my existing Internet plan since they had a corporate account with Optimum. Also, with an increase in the bandwidth speed & provide South Asian TV channels. He fraudulently accessed my profile to change my plan and asked to check the increase in speed through some link.

He asked to transfer the one time amount for the next 7 months of $420 and need not pay anything to Optimum as their company will pay Optimum internally. But all these were JUST FAKE. I sent him a sum of $420 via Zelle to billing @ asmartit.com. This guy didnt stop here, he said he can pay any of my Credit card bills and I can pay him only half of the payment. He said, he gets many promotional vouchers that can only be used for paying Credit card bills and he gives his customers this offer, so they can pay only half of the amount. He paid my credit card bills and I transferred half of the bill amount to him. After a week, the amount got bounced back and when I called the Bank customer care, they said, there were no funds available in the account and got bounced back. I was totally confused and trying to reach him and follow up with him for almost 3 months now to transfer the money that i transferred to him. He stopped picking up my calls and when he picks up, tells that he is following up with his Billing department and trying to solve this issue. Now this number is not reachable too. Even Optimum is charging me the monthly charges and they are not aware of such company at all and they are not sure, how the south Asian channels got added to our account. This guy cracks the Optimum network I guess. Also, initial call was from a guy called "Raj Malhothra" and he routed the call to Ajay Ambani. Looks like this company has many people working in this scam.

Please Note: Do not use Zelle to send money for any business Transactions. This is the lessons learnt. Be cautious of any such Promotional calls, as they may be FAKE !!

I wish I get my money back as i need it badly for my family and file a case against this guy as he would be cheating many people hardwork money and want to stop it.

This is classic phone scam

This is classic phone scam. Mr ambani Is a scammer who takes money on the pretext of working with Xfinity, but then scams the customer. Customer does not know since they are able to change Xfinity account.

He wins trust by reading your Facebook name. Then can make changes to your Xfinity account like ordering flex device which is free. He also sends a device which is charged on your account. He offers a discount on your plan if you pay yearly amount with a speed increase.
Makes you pay through zelle since zelle doesn't have fraud protection. Once payment is done, the scammed doesn't know for months since they send echecks which then get a stop payment. Xfinity somehow allows this.

Don't get scammed, if he calls call the police

This company is total fraud and don't believe on any one.
I got the same call from a company called AsmartIt from numbers (415 666 2264), (805 491 6381) claiming to give a discount of 30% on my existing plans since they had a corporate account with Xfinity as others have posted .

They fraudulently accessed my account and sent me modem. They were even able to access my xfinity online account and added their credit card to instill trust in me and made a payment to xfinity. upon enquiry with xfinity customer care they said payment has gone through. In turn I sent them 12 month money of 703 $.

Later after few days the payment resulted in bank error at xfinity and this fraud Ajay Ambani (i know may be not even real name) are not replying to my mail and call.

Beware of these frauds !!

Beware of AsmartIt Scam

I received multiple communications from a company called AsmartIt from numbers (415 666 2264), (805 491 6381) claiming to give a discount of 30% on my existing plans since they had a corporate account with Xfinity. They fraudulently accessed my profile to change my plan and send me a new modem.

They made a payment of ~600$ to my Xfinity to increase my confidence in them. In return, I sent them a sum of ~600$ via Zelle to billing @ asmartit.com. A few days later I realized that the payment they made to my account was rejected by Xfinity. They are not responding to my calls anymore.

Note: Do not use Zelle to send money for any business Transactions.

Edit 1:
After I wrote this review: A few days later I get a call from one of the same numbers. The person offered me to take down this review in exchange for returning my money back.
