I don’t even have words to explain how life changing this trip was. i came into it knowing nothing and i left with an entire new group of best friends who feel like family. lisa and diogo will go above and beyond to make sure u feel safe, cared for, having fun, and loved :) i already blocked out my calendar to attend their Bolivia trip because i was so sad to leave. they are the best company i can’t even explain how wonderful it was. i knew they would be genuine people from the minute i spoke to them on the phone months before the trip. big love to lisa, diogo, all the locals we met, and all the girls who were on this trip with me <3 so blessed to have a new supportive loving group of people in my life. I wish I could give this company more than 5 stars. Lisa and Diogo were so incredible and accommodating throughout the entire 2 week trip and the months leading up the the trip as well. Not only were they amazing tour guides, but also our whole group became bestfriends as they are so personable and it felt as if i’d known them my whole life. Omg where do I even begin?? 11/10 experience. This was my first ever group trip and I’m so happy that it was with this group. Lisa and Diogo are absolutely amazing, they were so lovely and so much fun! They know Peru through and through. Showed me a side of Peru I didn’t even know existed. So grateful for not only my experience and the memories made but mostly the people I met on this trip, i will cherish forever! I cannot wait to travel with them again! <333 xoxo

I have not a single negative thing to say about my trip. It was so much fun, all of my expectations were completely surpassed. Diogo and Lisa made us feel so safe. Traveling with them was honestly a great time and I would absolutely recommend it. Peru is so amazing and I am so grateful for all of the beautiful experiences it gave us. There was so much incredible food, and incredible culture.

I absolutely loved my experience on the Adventurous Peru tour!!! We truly got to immerse ourselves into the culture and that’s exactly what I wanted. I feel like we got to do and experience so much thanks to ATAW, more than I would have done by myself or with another company!!! The vibes were so fun and positive. I couldn’t have asked for a better trip to Peru.

I went on their vibrant Colombia tour in March and absolutely loved it! I love traveling and exploring new places but wanted to have some comfort of traveling with other people, and not having to plan everything on my own. This tour was perfect! Even with just two weeks you get to see and experience so much - beautiful mountains, national parks, beaches, waterfalls, remote islands, cacao farms, colourful cities, authentic food markets, and amazing restaurants and bars! And the best part is being able to get to know a group of strangers and travel with them for two weeks and experience it together :)

I especially think this tour is great for people new to traveling and are curious about other places but feel nervous to make the first step - this tour shows you exactly how things work and makes you feel super comfortable navigating foreign places!

Lisa and Diogo become more like friends (really organized friends who have your bus ticket ready and dorm room already booked for you in advance hahah). They are so funny and kind and have clearly traveled so much and are very knowledgeable about the areas they do their tours in! Everything prior to the tour was really smooth as well - great communication with them and any question or concern I had was answered so quickly! They even gave me recommendations and advice for other places in Colombia after the tour ended!

I highly recommend this tour! It felt like a very authentic travel experience where I was just traveling around with friends, rather than an organized group tour! Thank you Lisa and Diogo, I hope to see you guys again soon!!

I absolutely loved travelling Colombia with Ataw! Lisa was amazing and took us to so many great spots I never would’ve found without the tour. She was also always available to answer questions and gave great advice for my onward travels. I was very sad when the tour came to an end. I can’t wait to do another trip with Lisa and Diogo in the future.

Before the trip even started I knew it would be good, but didn’t know it’s be as unbelievable as it was. Diogo and Lisa knew exactly what they were doing and were extremely helpful in the group chat. They helped us with all the requirements and answered all our questions quickly. I never thought about going to Bolivia, but saw Allyssa promoting it and thought I’d give it a go. Best decision ever. I’ve been on many group trips and this was by far my favorite. Not only do you really get immersed in the culture and learn so much, you meet the best people while you’re there. They keep the groups small and you become a little family, which is an amazing perk!

The two weeks we were there were so amazing. Diogo is super knowledgeable about the country and is on top of his game with logistics and anything else thrown his way. He is the perfect Type A planner friend to have on a trip. It was a super positive and memorable experience. You get a unique experience exploring beautiful Bolivia with new friends. Couldn’t ask for anymore than that.

I hope to go on another trip with them in the future! :)

I was in the vibrant Colombia trip and it was everything in the description and so much more. Diogo was on a different trip so I was only with Lisa but she was amazing! She helped me book my flight and personally picked me up from the airport. She is a great guide that knows her way around. This was my first time traveling by myself and Lisa made me feel so safe and so comfortable and made it stress free for me. We got to try lots of local food and eat so much fresh fruit. There were lots of planned things to do but still plenty of time to be able to explore on your own or just rest. The entire trip was filled with beautiful places and great food and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Thank you Lisa!!!!

I recently went on a group trip with Ataw Travels , and I must say, it was an unforgettable experience! Our itinerary included a hike through the Lost City in Colombia, which was truly an awe-inspiring adventure. The views were breathtaking, and the historical significance of the site was truly captivating.

We also got the opportunity to take authentic cooking classes, which was a highlight of the trip. We learned so much about Colombian cuisine and had a lot of fun trying out new recipes. And to top it all off, we were lucky enough to witness the bioluminescence phenomenon, which was truly a magical experience.

I have been backpacking for 2 years now and I would have to say that I never want to travel without Lisa again in my life. The trip was well organized, and Lisa our tour guide was knowledgeable, friendly, and made sure we were all comfortable and enjoying ourselves. The accommodations were also top-notch for staying in hostels , I felt safe and well taken care of throughout the entire trip.

Overall, I highly recommend this travel company for anyone looking for an adventurous and memorable trip. I can't wait to book my next adventure with them!

Traveling with ATAW was quite literally the best experience I’ve ever had in my life. It was my first time traveling alone and Lisa (one of our group leaders from the company) was absolutely incredible. I felt like I was traveling with the type A friend. She was so much fun and took Colombia by storm. The itinerary was jam packed with activities that truly immersed me in the culture and taught me things I could never find online. I’m so grateful for this trip and especially this company for providing the experience of a lifetime.

ATAW’s ‘Wonders of Bolivia’ tour was my first time ever doing group travel and it was an absolutely positive and memorable experience!! Diogo was not only on top of it when it came to the itinerary and logistics, but also super knowledgeable about the country and its culture. He was also well connected with the local organizations to provide the most seamless and valuable travel experience.

Prior to coming across ATAW Travels, I didn’t know much about Bolivia or have organized plans to visit the country. I’ve been backpacking for years and have visited nearly 20 countries and now can say the time spent in Bolivia with them was undoubtedly one of my favorite and impressionable trips to date. The two weeks were packed with amazing highlights and building genuine friendships with others from the trip.

I hope I have the chance to do another trip with them in the future!

For a trip that I came across by random, I am eternally grateful for Diogo and Lisa, and making my first experience to South America so memorable. What drew me towards the tour was the variety of things that were planned for us and experiences you wouldn’t usually come across, unless you know someone who knows someone who has an uncle with an island. The vibes this trip served were next to none, not to mention the number of laughs that we shared as a group. This was my first trip rolling solo, and yet I never once felt alone. Only fault I have to say is that they only hosted one tour to Bolivia.. meaning I have to wait a year to experience that with them. Highly recommend these guys, you won’t regret it.

while certain parts (like navigating new people were hard), it helped to make the personal experience so much more worthwhile and beautiful. i appreciated also all the the personal experiences lisa and diogo had and they included that. definitely something you couldn’t experience without them and their knowledge. beautiful time. 10/10 would do again

The perfect experience with the best people!

I booked this trip as the start of my 4 month travels in South America to help ease me into the backpacking life! For me, it was the best decision.

Both Diogo and Lisa made me feel super comfortable and as stated in previous reviews, it’s not like travelling with guides more like friends! They are super knowledgeable and have all the information you need. They’re always on hand if you have a question or need anything.

From start to finish it was a great experience, not only do you get to see the tourist attractions but you also get to experience the local life and culture of the place. This is one of the reasons I picked ATAW.

They’ve given me so much advise and information for my continued trip which I am super grateful for.

The accommodation, the transport, the trips, the food etc it was all spot on. Couldn’t ask for better!

I chose Ataw travels to book my trip to Peru as I wanted to go by myself but not exactly alone. Travelling with Lisa and Diogo did not disappoint. Since the very beginning they were super friendly, had the best stories from past travels and the best tips. You can tell they know their way around, so you don’t have to worry about finding the best restaurants, viewpoints, and things to do. Some people from the villages we've been to already know them well, so they can take you to places and give you experiences you wouldn't easily get otherwise. As the tour groups are small and they’re super easy going people, I’ve never felt I was travelling with an agency but solely with friends. They’re also fluent in 4 languages, Spanish included which is a plus if you don’t speak it, as it really makes a difference in south America. Couldn’t recommend them more!

At the beginning of my 2-week Peru round trip with Lisa & Diogo I was welcomed super sweetly by the two at the airport. From then on it was: part of the herd and thus together through ups and downs. I felt super comfortable and the two showed me all these beautiful places, give many many tips and held some highlights ready: including quite clearly the overnight stay in the desert and the Macchu Piccu visit. Unforgettable :-) If you feel like discovering Peru in a short period of time and want to rely on experienced experts, Lisa & Diogo are the right people for you! It does not feel like traveling with guides, but traveling with friends. Thanks for everything :)

I recently went on a trip to Rincon Del Mar & Cartagena, Colombia and had a wonderful experience with ATAW Travels!
