I contacted AtDoorStep for a hard drive recovery service after being quoted around one week for completion at a cost of AED 3,000.

The initial response was quick and professional, but unfortunately that was where the good experience ended.

After confirming the job, I handed over both the failed hard drive and a brand-new hard drive for the recovered data. A week later, the new drive was returned to me, but my original hard drive was not. Despite multiple follow-ups and several promises that it would be delivered, I had to wait another week before finally receiving it back.

To make matters worse, the recovered data was provided on the new hard drive in a Windows format, even though the original drive was formatted for Mac. This created additional complications and inconvenience that could have been avoided. When I raised the issue, no real solution was offered and I was instead told to sort out the problem myself, despite it being a result of how the recovery had been handled.

Throughout the process, communication was poor, delivery commitments were repeatedly missed, and there was very little support when issues came up. For a service that cost AED 3,000, I expected a much higher level of customer service, attention to detail, and accountability.

Based on my experience, I would not recommend AtDoorStep for data recovery services.

Truly awful experience with this company. First of all it seems they go by both AtDoorstep and Mr Handyman- I received messages from both. Unclear as to why this might be.
They didn’t show up at the scheduled time, there was some miscommunication within their company it seems. They rescheduled for later and again failed to show up saying their workers were at another job. I had to find another company.
Disorganized and unreliable.
I would not trust them to make an appointment and keep it.

I recently booked a handyman service from Atdoorstep and had a great experience. The technician arrived on time. He was professional and completed the work neatly and efficiently. He solved several small problems in my home easily. He also explained everything clearly. The service was quick, affordable, and very convenient to book. I highly recommend Atdoorstep to anyone looking for reliable handyman services. I will definitely use their service again!
