Avoid Arya Campervans ltd Auckland !

We bought our campervan from Arya Campers in October 2025 and from the day we got it until now we have had so many different issues that all seem to stem back to lazy/rushed work.
Firstly, the van was filthy inside and took us half a day to get it clean despite them saying they would clean it prior to us collecting the van, there were used masks and even nuts in between the seats 🤢
When we first viewed the van it badly needed a paint job and they did this for us, but again it was clearly rushed or carelessly done as there was paint absolutely everywhere inside and out. We had to scrub it off the lights, doors and the dashboard. Some of the woodwork is wonky or chipped and has screws poking through, we had to try and get marker pen off with nail varnish remover etc. For the price we paid ($22500) this is not acceptable.
They also hadn’t wired in the second battery so it couldn’t charge up and then died. We had to go all the way back to Auckland for it to be wired in and we raised concerns that if the battery was too low it won’t work anymore but they told us it should charge up fine. We got five minutes down the road and it started clicking indicating it wasn’t charging so we had to go back again and get a new battery fitted.
The first time it rained water poured through the back door as the seal that was fitted was very clearly not the correct size, there was a huge gap when the door was closed that was very clearly visible. When we took it back again they put on a seal that was the right size but barely acknowledged they had caused another issue through missing something obvious. They did apologise and give us some petrol money but the issues didn’t stop there.
After just two months we had to get the tyres changed because they had been so bald the metal started poking through, the garage said it was due to an alignment issue but were surprised the tyres hadn’t been changed before we bought it.
We then had an ongoing issue with the second battery draining a lot quicker than expected, we had a new isolator fitted to see if this was part of the problem and Jaycar who did this for us showed us that the wiring was done very poorly, so we sent a picture of it to arya campers and were ignored.
The battery issue persisted, we eventually figured out the seal on the fridge was faulty so was draining the power trying to keep cool. This was a fault from the product from Jaycar but another issue that was missed by Arya before selling the van. Our tap also stopped working within 6 months.
A wire behind the passenger seat started sparking and smoking and had melted through the electrical tape (Photo 10). With a slight tug the wire disconnected and had obviously not been attached very well. This could have caused a serious fire if we hadn’t been in the van when it happened.
We called Arya Campers again to explain what happened and asked what we should do while there is a live wire sticking out. We raised concerns about this second issue of bad wiring and they told us they had someone come in from Jaycar to show them how to wire after other complaints? Then someone else came in their office to talk to them and they basically said see ya and hung up…
We do like the design of the van and this was a big selling point for us but overall would recommend going somewhere else as there has been too many avoidable issues. We know other people who have got vans elsewhere for a better price who have not had all of these issues, it is not normal.
All previous reviews also seem to have been deleted which is a huge red flag! It’s a shame because they seem like nice guys and the designs are nice but they don’t care enough about what they are doing.
Overall these issues have caused a lot of stress, used lot of petrol going places to get the issues fixed, and resulted in quite a few travel days being lost.
