Good outcome but very sales focussed
It was very sales focused. Alot of language used was very casual and what i wanted was not light hearted for me and I wanted a bit more formal language used.
I did get the procedure and I do like the outcome.
My check ups weren't with my original surgeon and it seems a bit "one out one in".
Nurses on the surgery day were lovely.

Every patient is different. Some appreciate a more relaxed and conversational approach, while others prefer a more formal style, and that's helpful feedback for us to reflect on.
I would, however, like to reassure anyone reading your review that Auralia has never operated a commission-based sales model, nor do we set sales targets for any member of our team. In fact, we decline surgery for many patients where we do not believe it is in their best interests. The service i received from the 1st day…
The service i received from the 1st day i walked in for a consultation, right through to my surgery and aftercare was exceptional. I am so happy with my results now 5 months on , and every member of staff in Auralia exceeded my expectations. My surgeon was brilliant, I had no problems. The nurses on the day and aftercare was brilliant

I absolutely LOVE my new transformation. I couldn’t be any happier with the decision I made & with my amazing Dr.Norchas ( hoping I spelt that right 🙈 ) - The Whole team, even down to the receptionist were exceptional, the nurse, the anastasiast . I’d HIGHLY recommend Auralia Clinic to anyone I know that is thinking about having anything done . Breast reduction. Very happy, great results!
Auralia was well organised and professional throughout my enquiry, consultation and decision-making phase. Staff were exceptionally attentive and kind on the day of surgery. I met my anaesthetist and surgeon for discussions on the day of and before the surgery itself. I had follow-up consultations as needed and these were all included in the fee. It was reassuring to know that the doctors didn’t skimp on these and were conscientious about my well-being. I am very happy with the results. The pricing was on a par with other providers in the south of Ireland. From my own research, it was more competitive than pricing in the north of Ireland. And, having just read Auralia’s reply below, I’d like to add that one provider in the north I researched charges for each follow up appointment. This would have hugely increased my costs because, out of an abundance of caution on the doctors’ parts, I had a few follow-ups. This is what I mean above by saying they didn’t skimp on the follow-ups, even though the cost was on them and not on me. This says a lot about their patient care ethic.

I had my breast augmentation with Dr Salmen at Auralia and I honestly could not be happier with my experience and results! I’ve wanted this surgery for years, and they made the entire journey incredibly smooth and comfortable from day one
The day of the surgery was incredibly reassuring. The entire nursing and clinical staff were compassionate and professional, checking on me and answering every question I had. When it came to recovery, it was much more manageable than I anticipated. I followed my aftercare instructions closely, and the team provided fantastic support whenever I reached out with a query.
I am completely thrilled with my results. My breasts look incredibly natural, and they feel just right for my body shape. Weight Loss Surgery with Auralia Dublin
I had a gastric sleeve surgery for weight loss with Dr Loy & the Bariatric Team in Auralia Dublin just about 6 weeks ago.
I have to say i’ve been very pleased with everything & would definitely recommend Auralia as a really good option for anyone not on the public system or not going through their health insurance. I didn’t want the extra risk of going abroad for surgery but couldn’t afford to go to the Mater Private without health insurance.
The pre-op meeting was informative & to the point, Dr Loy answered all my questions very efficiently & reassured me that Auralia was a good option for me.
The surgery process was very smooth & completely problem free. I actually was going to get a R-N-Y Bypass but Dr Loy did the sleeve for me instead as he felt it was safest option in my situation once we were in surgery - this was discussed beforehand as a possibility.
I felt completely at ease before the surgery & myself and my fellow patient were chatting away before the surgery in between our registration & intake process. I was very well monitored & looked after during my stay with all the relevant equipment by Dr Loy, the bariatric team and the nursing team. Everything was super clean & efficient & everyone was so kind. I felt i was much better looked after post op than i might have been in a regular hospital.
My recovery has gone really smoothly and Auralia’s bariatric & client care team have been great about answering any questions or queries i might have had. The post op recovery diet was easy to follow & clearly outlined. My recovery process felt very easy & i’d very little actual pain following surgery. I can HIGHLY recommend the quality of surgery & surgical care I received from Dr Loy & Auralia’s Bariatric team. I have already seen good weight loss since surgery & was very reassured by my post surgical follow up with Dr Loy that i’m on track with everything for this stage of my recovery process.
One thing for people to consider: The dietary & lifestyle support by Auralia is offered via an app and may not be comparable to the ‘multi disciplinary team’ that was discussed when i enquired with the mater private but i was aware of that going in and i have put those supports in place myself. As part of the support package App I have had a private online 30min session with the Dietitian & that was very helpful, there are a further 3 x 15min follow ups with her over the course of the year post surgery but i will probably need to engage additional dietary support outside of this.
I don’t think there is any private counselling offered as part of the support package but i know there is online classes/vlogs in lifestyle & exercise, i haven’t used these yet but in any case i’m working privately with a great CBT counsellor & will be doing in-person fitness & exercise classes now that i’m recovered enough after surgery.
I was delighted with the surgical care I got with Dr Loy & the team in Auralia. I had done alot of research into my options beforehand & now that i’m through it I’m very happy with my decision to go with Auralia for my gastric sleeve surgery.
I’m very aware that weight loss surgery is a tool rather than a magic fix & now I look forward to using the surgery to help me move forward with getting my weight to a healthy level & life where my obesity disease is more manageable.

I also think you've made a really important point when you describe obesity as a disease and surgery as a tool rather than a cure. That's exactly how we view it too. Bariatric surgery can be life-changing, but it's the person who makes the decision to change their life. The surgery simply helps make that possible.

Breast Reduction
I cannot recommend Auralia Private Hospital and Dr Michos highly enough. From my very first enquiry right through to being one week post-op, every part of the experience has been exceptional.
The whole team at Auralia have been professional, kind, reassuring and incredibly thorough. From the consultation process, booking surgery, pre-op appointments, care plans and information provided, everything was explained so clearly and I always felt fully informed and supported.
I had consultations with two other surgeons at different hospitals, but none of them made me feel as comfortable, listened to or as confident as Dr Michos did. He took the time to understand exactly how I felt, answered all of my questions and made me feel completely safe in his care.
The surgery itself went so smoothly, and the post-op care has been just as outstanding. I’m only one week after surgery and already feel like a new woman. I’ve had very little pain — more discomfort than anything — and recovery has been far easier than I expected.
I waited years to have this surgery done, and my only regret is not doing it sooner. If you are thinking about breast reduction surgery, I would honestly say go for it. You will be so well looked after at Auralia, and Dr Michos can genuinely change your life.

I could not recommend Auralia enough after having the gastric sleeve surgery done just over 3 weeks ago now. From the beginning, just making initial enquiries with the team the support, compassion and quick responses have been amazing. The staff are all such lovely people! Meeting Dr Loy to discuss the best surgery for me, I felt it was the first time in my life I was genuinely being listened to and not just blamed or judged for being overweight. His words were that this surgery can and will change my life, and he wasn’t wrong! The team on the day of surgery kept things super professional but also so friendly and fun. I was a bag of nerves and it made me feel at ease! Surgery was seamless and I was out the following morning! I’ve had follow up check in calls and emails from the team since too with an emergency number if I had any worries which thankfully I’ve had none! The auralia app has also been super helpful with great fitness classes, nutritional information and easy to make meal ideas. Having this support after surgery has really made a huge difference! My only regret is that I didn’t do this sooner!!! Thank you to the bariatric team and Dr Loy at Auralia!
