Absolutely terrible experience with Australia Website Company. I paid over $3,500 for a “custom” dashboard, booking portal, hosting, and PCI compliance — and from day one, the site has been a mess.

The Zoom booking system never worked properly. Appointments were showing the wrong dates and times, clients were left waiting, reminder emails weren’t sent, and I couldn’t access any of my booked meetings. I reported this over and over again — on the phone, by email, and through WhatsApp — for weeks before it was even partially fixed.

Even after that, the problems didn’t stop:

Google Calendar sync never worked

“Forgot Password” was broken for months

I kept getting locked out of my own WordPress admin

Communication was slow, and I had to chase them constantly to get anything done

For the price I paid, this should have been a smooth, professional service. Instead, it’s been stressful, time-wasting, and amateurish. I honestly regret ever hiring them and would strongly warn others to look elsewhere.

Dysfunctional and Unprofessional Organisation

InsightTimer's support is utterly deplorable. I have been waiting for a response since Summer 2024 regarding a teacher who insulted me, falsely reported me for spamming, and claimed I was disruptive. I have solid evidence to refute these allegations. The support management at InsightTimer has shown a complete lack of professionalism, responding with abusive silence treatment and disrespect instead of resolution. Despite reaching out via all available social media platforms over the months, my concerns and feelings have been consistently invalidated.

As a Plus Member, my membership has been breached; I am restricted from using social functions. I dedicate my time to helping teachers and organising daily sanghas, which I genuinely enjoy. What was a lifesaver during Covid has become a source of distress since last year due to the organisation’s negligent and damaging attitude towards its members. The so-called teacher involved refuses to accept their humiliating and disrespectful attitude towards the mentee/follower, whilst InsightTimer ignores serious concerns and treats their members as just a number. All I was seeking was a constructive dialogue in search of peace, resolve and unity.

I did nothing wrong; running an organisation with such bias is unacceptable. They feel and behave solely focused on extracting money from their loyal customers and pensioners. It’s disgraceful, especially since I have formed valuable friendships with many teachers and actively promote the app on social media. Taking sides is damaging to anyone’s well-being, besides being discriminatory! Teachers I know wrote to Insighttimer, giving them a character reference to help me out, and they were told that management would contact me. Months have gone by, and I am still waiting. Dishonesty, unprecedented behaviour, and lies come to mind! I was a carer for my late husband, who passed recently on 31/5/25, and InsightTimer was and still is my sanctuary to help me heal. Still, management and the teacher made my experience so painful for months, more so now to process my grief, traumas and to continue on my spiritual journey. 💔

This organisation needs urgent scrutiny; it should not operate on public platforms while ruining people’s lives under the guise of promoting well-being. Their actions are disingenuous and harmful. A few weeks ago, someone named Alex offered to help after I reached out for support, yet I was subsequently blocked from that social media IG platform after providing the requested information. It is outrageous how good and respectful people are treated so severely, lacking respect, accountability, and care, especially those of us paying membership fees. This is inhumane behaviour!

I stand with those who rated this irresponsible and dysfunctional organisation with one star, but it deserves zero stars since even one star is too generous. On the 25/5/25, InsightTimer had the audacity to email me asking me to rate their app; so here’s my response. Someone needs to take action and stop this organisation from continuing its unacceptable and devastating practices. ❤️‍🩹🕊️🌻

Firstly a star is not applicable for this company. I am writing to warn people about the company Wowweary. The name of this company is one of many in this conglomerate of scammers. I will list its sister companies below. I have been doing research on this company. It is a chinese clothing company. It uses AI to falsely advertise its garments. I ordered a Beautiful, Cable knit hoodie with A Celtic design. What I got was a cheap nylon piece of rubbish with a celtic iron on print on the front. This cost me $80. I asked for my money back and they said they couldnt do this as it took too much time. I still havent been compensated as they do not respond anymore. Do be careful Wowweary and its other sister companies, operate on google, you tube, facebook. All AI generated images are portrayed and facebook do not seem to care as long as they are being paid for the advertising space. These are a few names of companies that are all under the same fraudulent umbrella. The Australian government needs to do more to protect the Australian consumer and weed out this blatent daylight robbery. Names of scam companies related to Wowweary. UFLASHION, DOLOPHIN, Exclusive god, artswardrobe, Starcici, Lorrence, Faymoon.com, Saooeo, Fashionalleys, World traveller, Artsweary. Mybohoutfit, LIXINEWSHOP.COM, Casiswear, Amourattire. To name a few, All AI generated garments all fake. I can spot them a mile off now. If the garment is too beautiful its a scam. Please be aware.

I recently encountered Australian Website Company that initially seemed promising but quickly revealed itself to be anything but legitimate. Their first red flag came when they insisted on a "sign off" agreement despite not presenting a formal contract. This raised my suspicions, but I naively thought that perhaps they were just following an internal protocol. It wasn’t until my project stalled that I realised the extent of their deception.

The moment I realised my website was being held hostage and without any transparency or valid rationale, I took action. After alerting the appropriate authorities about this fraudulent company, I learned that I was not alone in my experience. This is a clear strategy employed by individuals for self gain. Forging signatures and employing threats to maintain control over their clients is a clear indicator that the company had no regard for ethical business practices.

After reporting the situation, I managed to recover my funds. It’s worth noting that forging a signature is a crime, and I’m grateful that I was able to leverage this fact to my advantage. However, the reality is that many individuals may not know how to navigate such situations or may feel too intimidated to fight back. This is particularly concerning because scam companies are on the rise, taking advantage of vulnerable people attempting to establish their livelihoods through a website.

My experience taught me a valuable lesson to always be cautious and question everything. A legitimate web designer will be transparent, professional, and willing to provide documentation that you understand and agree to. If you encounter any signs of pushiness, lack of clarity, or overall unprofessional behaviour, it’s time to walk away. You have the right to feel secure and confident in your business arrangements, and you owe it to yourself to partner with people who act with integrity.

In conclusion, it is imperative to remain vigilant against those who seek to exploit vulnerable people for their gain. Preying on individuals simply trying to establish a business is not just unethical, it’s despicable. I have since found a reliable web designer who is not only competent but also communicates openly and professionally. I urge anyone considering web design services to conduct thorough research and to remain sceptical of any company that raises alarms. Protect yourself and your investment; the right partner can make all the difference in your digital journey.

Scam site. Don't believe any of the reviews that are above one star. Has taken 6 months to build a 6 page basic site. They do not reply to emails, or msgs. Have taken $1600 and have delivered nothing apart from content that I have supplied. Have asked for a refund eleven times but don't reply. Trying to take to consumer affairs but all there contact details are fake

I urge other consumers to be cautious and thoroughly vet this company before engaging their services. Their lack of honesty and transparency can lead to frustration and potential financial loss.

If you're considering using their services, be aware of the risks. I am currently contemplating legal action due to their failure to meet contractual obligations and provide the services I paid for. It's crucial for businesses to uphold honesty and deliver what they promise; unfortunately, this has not been my experience here.

I have had a similar experience as the review below regarding this company asking for more money along the way. The first major "top up" they requested was for my logo because apparently my package did not include "illustrations". Nowhere in my package did it say it did not include illustrative designs, so I decided to end the business relationship as I started becoming suspicious of the company's practices. However, they apparently went to their higher management and decided to waive this extra fee - so I regrettably stayed on. The second time I was told I needed to top up was before going into the final website development. I was told that I needed to buy a dedicated 256GB server with all the bells and whistles, and that they were in a position to supply this, costing 12X more than my existing service. I asked why I needed this, and they said because they're developing "custom coded PHP, not using the standard Wordpress themes" so my existing service wasn't deemed high enough in terms of resources. Never mind that my website is purely informational and that I am expecting low traffic as a service-based 1-man show startup. So I asked why they didn't inform me that a dedicated server was needed prior to me signing up. They shot back saying we did discuss it with you, and I acknowledged that a hosting service was required, and that we could potentially discuss it later on. What was vaguely discussed was just that - but no pre-empting that a dedicated server was needed during the sales phase whatsoever. They also argued that the fault lied with me for not approaching them before buying an external service. In the end, they told me they would put the website on my existing service, but would not be responsible for anything thereafter. The great thing is, my shared hosting service (another company) runs great, the terrible thing is I'm now still having issues with links not working and this company is still pushing the buck back.

The worst company ever. They just keep lying to you!! 6 months later, 3 dollars and my website is still not functioning!!

BWX is an Icon with the 'i' missing...! Selling products like Sukin, this company was mismanaged. With backing from heavyweights, this company bought the beauty Fosters company for a heft $89m. They had many share floats and the billions in dollars seems to have disappeared. The company directors called in the administrators. A nice cozy arrangement ensued as the former CEO bought the company for $70m. JFoster bought her company back for a tenth of what she sold it for. Amazingly Sukin was still selling during administration for more dosh. The unsecured shareholders are left broke. ASIC and ASX seem to be unaffected or blissfully ignorant. The mum-dad investors have paid for the Sukin. Enjoy it guys...a gift from Australian investors who are unsecured and therefore unprotected!
