I am aware how hard book marketing is.
I am aware how hard book marketing is; it's the bane of every author. I went to AME after going to three other marketing experts over a few years, hoping AME would offer something new. Their program looked wonderful; advertising, reviews, reach out to community events, media and interested groups. Absolutely nothing came of it. No reviews, no sales, no media contacts, and no presentation offers. They had me change keywords to my website and categories; nothing changed. I did every suggestion they offered. That was over three months ago. I asked to see what their pitch was, no answer. I was on the board of several of the organizations they pitched to; I was told they never got the pitch. Now...it could have gone into spam, understandable. While I trust they did the work, absolutely nothing came of it. They were aware I was frustrated with all the work that was done before and I had hoped something new would come of it.
Perhaps it's the book or the cover. If that's the case, I would think as marketers they would say so. I am aware there was no guarantee, but one would think something would come of it. Not the case. Since the campaign, two books have sold. I know who they are; I solicited them myself.
