The vehicle had multiple dents
The vehicle had multiple dents, scratches, and signs of damage.
Despite paying an extra €15 for airport pick-up and drop-off, the car was not delivered to the airport as agreed. Instead, we were picked up by a shuttle that took us to the rental office, where we had to wait for an hour in the sun before receiving the vehicle due to the number of customers waiting. Our scheduled pick-up time was 9:30 a.m., but we only received the car at 10:30 a.m.
When returning the car, I sent them a courtesy message to let them know that I had left it at the airport, following the instructions given to me when I collected it. I then received a phone call saying, “At this time, the car should be returned to the office.”
The interior of the vehicle was not properly cleaned. Before handing it over, they only gave it a quick exterior wash at the car wash next to the office.
When signing the rental agreement, they refused to mark the existing damage on the inspection form, saying they had a video showing the vehicle’s condition and that I should record my own video if I didn’t feel comfortable. I strongly recommend that everyone take the time to record a detailed video and document everything to avoid any future issues. They didn’t even record the fuel level on the rental agreement, so make sure you document absolutely everything.
The whole experience felt like a fast-food operation, where the only priority is to process customers and get cars out as quickly as possible.
In addition to our experience, other customers who arrived on the same shuttle as us had serious issues with the condition of their vehicles and had to return them within 15 minutes.
The child seats were in a terrible state of cleanliness. Although we did not need one ourselves, we saw them being handed out to other customers in that condition.
