From the first minute I deal with Sarah everything has been very smooth and she has been very understanding.
Sarah always answer on the day to request I have asking for or always available on the phone,.

Special mention to Sarah Chalk who did an astounding job with how she catered for me. Very quick and helpful all the time, always going the extra mile to make sure I was happy. Really really good experience with her.
Only negative about Autohorn’s services was that the finance team wanted a lot of information, some of which I felt was excessive and unnecessary

I used this company for the first couple of months while getting my delivery business up and running, and there’s nothing I can say to fault the service.

The whole process was really smooth and easy from the start. I had a short term flexible rental agreement with a rolling contract, which was great to get my business up and running without committing to a long finance agreement.

A big shoutout to Sarah Chalk, who was my point of contact throughout – she was really helpful, easy to deal with, and always quick to sort anything out whenever I had a question or needed support. That level of service made a big difference, especially in the early stages.

The van itself was reliable and exactly what I needed to get things moving. Overall, a really positive experience and I wouldn’t hesitate to use them again.

Sarah Chalk has made my start to finish experience in obtaining a new vehicle excellent. Whatever scenario I gave to Sarah, nothing was too much trouble. Her patience, diligence, kindness and helpfulness has been exceptional. I was undecided on my next vehicle due to so many factors and think I might have changed my mind over 100 times :-), but Sarah never waivered - she was totally amazing and is a true asset to Autohorn. Sarah is what outstanding customer service looks like.

Will never use a national chain for hiring vans again.

This is just an entirely different experience that you can't get with their nationwide competitors. I initially booked an XLWB van but changed my mind as I didn't have the confidence and wanted an LWB instead. Changing my order was seamless, with zero headaches. Georgina was there to provide service from start to finish, incredibly friendly and absolutely no problems.

Great value for money aswell, I got all the excess protections and wanted an out of hours drop off, all of this increased my price and it was still a better offer than what I could get elsewhere without the extras.

As long as I remain in the York area, I will only ever be using Autohorn for rentals.

For the sake of honesty, I will say there was one part of my experience which was negative and that was due to the vehicle I booked being a brand new van, it came with a nearly empty tank of diesel, which meant returning it with a nearly empty tank of diesel. This meant that while I had the van I had to be a lot more careful with fuel, I couldn't just use as much as I wanted and then fill it up just before I return it, I had to be careful not to fill it up too much otherwise I would lose a lot of money if I returned it with more fuel than it had when I picked it up. Definitely not bad enough to knock a star off (I would have been tempted to had I accidentally overfilled and lost some money though)

But yeah, hired from national chains before, my first time trying local and it was just a significantly better experience start to finish.

Sarah Chalk was my key contact throughout my experience with Autohorn. I was referred to Autohorn by a broker, and the service that Sarah provided and facilitated exceeded my expectations. I was offered a broad range of rental options based on my requirements, the cars were good quality, and the service was responsive and 100% customer-oriented. I'd use Autohorn again, and would endorse both the company and Sarah, in particular.

Being able to pick up the car from York station was a big asset. The vehicle was clean and well featured. Maybe a reminder slip in the vehicle to inform drivers who may not be aware, that a small collar on the gear change lever, needs to be lifted to engage reverse!

As others have said , it was easy to book and deal with, good competitive prices. Car was clean and tidy and ready to go with a full tank of fuel.
Very helpful to be able to pick up the car from York station. The office there is more a place just to pick up / drop off keys and seems to be manned by a junior person but Georgina was helpful on the phone. Overall my experience was very positive and I would use again

Handy being able to pick up the car from the train station, but the setup between the collection office/ the lost luggage department for the station seems to be hit and miss.

I've used Autohorn a few times over the past few years and it's always a good experience. The cars are in great condition and clean, booking is easy and the prices competitive.

Poor customer service. Make up that there small dents in the vehicle even though they never pointed this out when picking up the vehicle just so they don’t have to give you the money back. Absolutely shocking money grabbers

Hired a car for a holiday which was virtually new. Very happy with everything and would use again and definitely recommend.

Discovered Autohorn after moving back to Yorkshire this year, so gave them a go for my annual trip down south to the Festival of Speed. Refreshingly easy and fantastic booking system, first class service on collection from Alfie’s Barn, and the car was fantastic - nearly new, perfectly clean & better than I expected! Thoroughly recommended ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I have used Autohorn car rental for the last 2 years on my trips home from Australia to visit family. Booking is easy on line. The staff are always friendly and efficient and I will use them again next year as their pricing structure is very competitive
