: DO NOT TRUST THEIR COMPATIBILITY GUARANTEES. I am currently out $7,474.77 because of this company's false advertising.

I bought a 6.4L Hemi engine from B&R Auto Wrecking for $5,000. Their website explicitly advertised it as "2012-2013 Compatible." I paid my local mechanic $1173.36 to install it, only to find out that 2012 and 2013 engines have completely different internal reluctor wheels. It is physically impossible for the 2012 engine they sent to run in my 2013 car.

When I provided them with the certified mechanic's report proving it doesn't fit, they refused to cover my labor costs. Instead, they tried to offer me a 2012 computer to put into my 2013 car—a "fix" that causes a permanent OBD-II VIN mismatch. This means my car would instantly fail DEQ emissions testing and be illegal to register.

Now, I have to pay my mechanic another $1173.36 just to pull their incompatible engine back out. B&R is trying to hide behind a "warranties don't cover labor" clause. But this isn't a broken part; this is them selling the completely wrong engine under false pretenses. As a disabled individual, this has completely drained my savings. If you buy from them, verify the exact part numbers yourself, because their website will say whatever it takes to make a sale, and they will leave you holding the bag for the mechanic bills when they are wrong.

B&R was responsive the same day I first posted this review assuring me they would make things right. They wanted to buy my car with the engine in it but I declined. Since I declined it's been nothing but delay, deflection, and Frank being in meetings all afternoon.

They sold me an engine represented as compatible with my vehicle. Certified mechanics documented that it is not compatible. Even after that, their solution is to make me pay out of pocket to remove the engine, pay to ship it back, and then wait for them to inspect it again before they decide what they might reimburse me for, even though the engine is being removed and shipped by certified mechanics.

In other words, they want the customer to keep carrying the financial burden for their mistake.

I am disabled, on a fixed income, and I am nearly $7,500 into this situation. I cannot afford to throw more money at a problem they caused. I have now filed complaints with the Oregon Department of Justice, the BBB, and my bank.

At this point, I do not trust their process, their compatibility claims, or their willingness to actually make a customer whole when they sell the wrong engine.

If you do business with this company, get everything in writing and assume you may be the one left paying for their error.

They are not making this right. Be extremely careful.

Worst experience ever! They robed me of $5 by telling me they had four of the parts I needed in the yard, sent me out to find them and had none. Then they refused to refund the money they collected to let me go into the yard, Saying there is a fee to visit the yard? Since when is this salvage yard an amusement park? They even refused to give me a receipt for the cash they collected so I had a record of where they hide the money in their company. I'm sure IRS would love to know that they now charge a fee to enter the yard. To make things even worse, I checked when I arrived home and they still advertise several of the wheels I was looking for as being on hand locally, as well as at other locations they control, which is false advertising to draw you into their amusement park. AFTER BEING A FAITHFUL CUSTOMER FOR OVER TEN YEARS, I RECOMMEND THAT YOU TAKE YOUR MONEY AND BUSINESS ELSEWHERE.

I would like to give Kudos to Danielle and Cassandra who work in the office a B&R in Creswell. There was a screw up in getting the right part (not their fault) but Cassandra wanted to make it right and we got it worked out. Thanks again.

Excellent experience with B&R autowrecking.com ! Got a power direction pump for my Nissan Altima and works very fine. The buying process was through e-bay and the part was delivered to my country (OUS) perfectly and before time. I recommend them.

In July, I went to the Henderson, Nevada location, looking for a throttle body and a set of coil on plug (COP). They had the throttle body ready to be sold but not the COP. They offered to ship the COP to my residence. I had read the bad reviews about shipping parts and not receiving them. I spoke with Matt the store manager. There was another gentlemen standing there. I actually told both of them about my concerns after reading the reviews. They both said hopefully they will prove that those are old reviews and they are striving for great reviews. I allowed them to ship the parts to my house because I live in Arizona. I actually received the parts the one day after they shipped them. All the parts worked perfectly. I would definitely do business with them again. Unknown to me at that time the other gentleman was the actual owner, Rick Perlenfein.

I always head for B&R for parts that I cant find on my older cars...These people are great...especially Susana Perez that works the front counter...She is allways very helpful and fair on the pricing A+.....
