I would reccomend Barkat and catering to all, these caterers deliver what they promise, from the first initial contact to the last plate of food coming out of the kitchen and onto the table just phenomenal service, polite and respectful from start to finish, I cant praise Brother khalil and his son enough for the way they dealt with all my enquiries and kept reassuring me all will go well on the day, every guest at my daughters wedding praised the food, Alhumdulillah

My wife and I used Barkat Catering & Events for our wedding at Three Rivers Golf Club, and we honestly cannot thank Khalil Bhai and his entire team enough. Barkat was the very first catering company we visited about six months before our big day, and after our initial taster session, we didn't even bother looking anywhere else.

Planning & Decor (All-In-One Convenience):
From our initial discussions, Khalil Bhai was incredibly welcoming, friendly, and honest, he felt like an older brother to us. There was zero pressure sales tactic. He walked us through the entire layout, staff ratios (waiters per table and management supervision), and event flow. On top of catering, they arranged our stage and decor through their partner company. Having one focal point for both decor and food made our planning stress-free and saved us from running around with multiple suppliers.

We are Bengali and Barkat is a Pakistani caterer, so while it's common in our community to stick to Bengali caterers, Khalil Bhai’s warmth and professionalism made us feel 100% confident. When we asked to test a few additional menu items a couple of weeks later, he happily prepared them for us. He even adjusted the spice and flavour levels to match our exact preferences.

Unmatched Flexibility & Understanding:
What blew us away was Khalil Bhai’s generosity when it came to guest count changes. Two weeks before the wedding, we needed to reduce our numbers. Khalil Bhai accommodated this without any penalties or extra fees, a gesture that saved us money and showed true empathy. A few days before the event, when our numbers swung back up to the original count, he didn't hesitate to accommodate us again despite the last-minute stress it caused his team.

The Wedding Day Experience:
Despite delays on the road on the wedding day due to an accident, the Barkat team had everything ready to go, and the stage, canopy service, and hall decor looked breathtaking.

When served, the food was piping hot and absolutely delicious. The meat and chicken curries were loved equally by all our guests, the meat was tender with rich gravy, while the chicken was cooked to perfection. The chickpeas and tarka daal also complemented the meal beautifully. While my wife and I unfortunately missed out on dessert due to photography, our guests could not stop raving about Khalil Bhai’s wife’s famous homemade fresh mango cheesecake served with vanilla ice cream, calling it the ultimate refreshing hit on a hot day.

Everything from communication to service execution was seamless. To anyone planning an event, and especially to our Bengali community considering trying someone outside traditional Bengali caterers, please give Khalil Bhai and Barkat Catering a try. You will be in the best hands!

I’m honestly not sure where to start, as I am truly in awe of Barkat Catering Services. I cannot say a single bad thing about their catering — from start to finish, the entire experience was nothing short of exceptional.

I have mentioned Khalil on other websites as well, but I genuinely cannot thank him enough for his kindness, thoughtfulness, professionalism, and outstanding character throughout the whole service. I used Barkat catering for my wedding many years ago and again now for my sisters wedding and mendi. They have always been exceptional from start to finish. The food was amazing all out guests loved it. I’m sure our guests will be using Barkat in the future. We highly recommend them for any small or large event.

Fahad Mohammad is his son, son of Sadia Mohammad (director), Khalil Mohammad (shadow owner), they all are complicit in running a dishonest service, often writing reviews for the company they own. very misleading, just so that they have better reviews if they can stoop to this low, can you imagine how far they can stoop to gain profit from providing you a mediocre service? they are dishonest people, dont waste your money on there frozen offerings.

Attended a large wedding reception end October where they were the caterers. The guests waited so long at the tables for the food that the bar staff

Appalling performance by these caterers on the night, they accepted they did not give good service or even a decent product and offered a percentage refund d of £1000 which the two newly married couple accepted then this catering company turned round and said that they would only give them this if they and all the guests that have complained about the cold food, lack of food, no dessert, etc, retract their review comments. They need to pay this young couple compensation for a bad job done on the night and learn from their mistakes, continual improvement, accept they got it wrong this time and move forward with insight and make things better the next time.

I recently attended a wedding catered for by Barkat catering and I must say the food was absolutely out of this world . As a recent bride who had my Walimah catered by Barkat Catering and Events, I must say, it was a huge disappointment. If it hadn’t been for my partner’s family, I would never have booked them.
The planning was a mess. Their staff, or should I say underpaid agency staff, didn’t care about their appearance or how they served. I don’t blame them considering how they were treated by the "head waiter." The kitchen was chaotic—no signs to keep out, and I saw a kid. (apparently the owners son, now chef) stirring large pots, sweating profusely, and staring at my sister-in-law. It was clear he wasn’t a qualified chef. None of the staff wore proper uniforms or gloves.The manager was friendly at first but lied through his teeth. He caused delays despite having our schedule well in advance. My husband mentioned that he was pleasant to deal with initially and that the family had used them before, but things have gone downhill. On the day of the event, he was completely clueless and unhelpful. The food was awful. The curries tasted like they were made with Shan masalas, which my mother-in-law, a great cook, also confirmed. The starters were from frozen packs—lamb seekh kebabs and canapés weren’t made by them. The chicken tikka was dry, and the biryani was the only dish with some flavour. They’re starting a new company, "The Biryani Factory," which makes sense given their focus on just this one dish. I challenge them to prove they don’t use pre-made products and pass them off as their own. They don’t even make their own naan—pathetic for a company claiming to offer authentic Pakistani cuisine. The desserts were as bad as the rest of the meal. The presentation was nonexistent.We should have gone with Spice Village, but we gave in to my in-laws’ loyalty to Barkat. What a monumental disappointment. If you want an awful reception, hire these guys—they’ll make sure you get one.
