My to dogs have been on barking heads small paws for many yrs now and I wouldn’t change it, the 2 girls are 11 and still run around like puppies, it’s a shame that after covid the price increased rather a lot but it’s the same everywhere it would be great if you could do a few bargains it would be a great help

Yet another problem with packaging
Yet another problem with packaging. This now the 3rd delivery where the boxes inside have been damaged. So either you package better or complain to the carrier.

Good fast delivery
The delivery was very good. Not sure my cat likes it though. She's had two so far and doesn't seem to enjoy it as much as her original food. If she changes her mind I will buy again.

Meowing Heads Turkey Pouches
Meowing Heads Turkey pouches are very popular with my cat as long as the pouches are interspersed with other flavours as well. He gets through three boxes every five weeks. I like the fact that there is no shrinkflation and the full 100g servings are maintained unlike other brands slowly reducing their portion sizes to 85g, 75g or even 70g as if we won’t notice.
Orders appear on the right day, providing cat energy for hunting rodents before dawn.

Delivery the next day. My dog goes mad for these pouches. She is a fussy eater, put this wet pouch in her bowl it’s gone in under a minute. The food looks good and the pouch is full. I personally find it very good value and leaves my dog full. 😊

My cat loves this food. Very happy with it. If he ate it all the time he would no doubt go off it, as he does with every other brand I have tried but interspersed with other meat only brands he is very happy.

Misleading recommendation and poor first customer experience
I was a first-time customer and used Barking Heads’ recommendation questionnaire to select food for my dog. Based on the information I entered, I was recommended and supplied a 12kg bag of dry food and wet food.
After receiving the order, I questioned whether the recommendation was appropriate and contacted customer services. Rather than investigating the issue fully, I was told that they could not recreate the problem and that if I wanted a refund, I would need to arrange and pay for the return myself.
The food remained unopened, yet I was still expected to cover the return costs despite relying on their recommendation tool when placing the order.
To their credit, they did cancel my subscription promptly when requested. However, the overall experience left me disappointed. As a new customer, I expected better support when querying a recommendation generated by their own system.
I have now returned the products and will not be ordering from Barking Heads again.

We do take concerns about our recommendation tool seriously, and after investigating, we weren’t able to recreate the same result when you contacted us, it’s often because one or more details entered into the questionnaire may have differed (even slightly) from what was intended — which can change the outcome of the recommendation. That said, we completely understand how frustrating it is to question a recommendation and feel that the issue wasn’t fully investigated at the time.
We’re also sorry you felt unsupported around the returns process, particularly as the products were unopened. We appreciate you acknowledging that your subscription was cancelled promptly.
