Good course, tutor was on hand to help

Barrow training is very good for someone who likes to do courses in person or online. I found that doing it online was hard as you could be easily distracted and able to do the housework instead of doing your course. If I was doing this again I would rather do it in a classroom full off people so you could interact with them.

The course was cool, only the videos were to be watched on the cell phone, it wasn't possible to see the entire video on the screen.

A very enjoyable course, great support from the tutor and team.

I really enjoyed this module. I have learned so much from it and the tutor was excellent, looking forward to the next module.

I recently completed the online Manual Handling training and I found the overall quality and delivery of the course good. I feel much more confident in my understanding of safe manual handling practices.

Online learning can be a challenge when there are actual physical skills required but there was enough time allocated to practice and feedback on same to allow us to grasp the tasks.

The course was well-structured and easy to navigate, even for someone who may not be very tech-savvy. Each module was clearly laid out and followed a logical sequence, making it simple to track progress and revisit topics if needed.

A few more workplace-specific examples—especially for those working in retail or warehousing—would make it even more relevant.

This online Manual Handling course is a great option that I would recommend. With a mix of essential knowledge with practical advice, and its format makes it easy to learn.

The course is very useful and contains a lot of valuable information, especially for those working in the food industry. However, I found the platform setup a bit difficult. It would be better to have a single app where I can access everything and write directly, instead of having to use Word and save tasks as PDFs, then upload them separately. A more streamlined process would improve the experience.

The Course Tutor was beneficial throughout the course.
The ladies in the office, Donna and Aileen, responded to any email quickly and were happy to assist.

i found this module very interesting and can relate alot back to my childcare course, this module wasnt as bad as i thought it would be and didnt need much help, when i needed help my tutor was replying back within a few hours which is great

Good course full of information, I found it hard to do online but was enjoyable and tutors worked well to help

I really enjoyed learning at Barrow! It was so easy to communicate with my lecture and she gave me great advise. The only thing that would of made the experience easier would be if you could do the videos in person

I had a great experience doing the level 6 SNA Course and the tutor was very helpful and always came back to my queries really quickly. Overall I have learned a lot and I can apply this in practical terms which is super! Thank you Barrow Training!

The course was very insightful and straight forward. The lecturers were easy to contact and replied very quickly when i reached out to ask questions.

This course provided a truly comprehensive and engaging exploration of intellectual disabilities. I was particularly captivated by the historical overview, which shed light on the evolution of understanding and support for individuals with ID. The research component was invaluable, allowing me to delve deeper into the subject matter and actively engage with the material. I found the comparison between the medical and social models particularly insightful, as was the exploration of societal attitudes and the pervasive stigma surrounding ID. The course highlighted the importance of person-centered care, emphasizing dignity, choice and recognising the contributions individuals with ID make in society. The focus on social, emotional, psychological and spiritual well being, along with the integration of OT & mental health considerations was exceptionally beneficial. The course exceeded my expectations, equipping me with a deeper appreciation for the complexities of intellectual disabilities and the crucial role of compassionate and effective support. I highly recommend this course to anyone seeking a thorough and impactful learning experience.

I really enjoyed the course content as it is something i hope to exclusively do eventually through my work as a healthcare assistant since 2016.
My tutor was very responsive and informative. Moodle itself was very helpful and great assistance in completing my assessment work. i would use barrow training again and would recommend them to others.
