$2,700 bed purchase
$2,700 bed purchase — disappointing after-sales service
After purchasing a bed for $2,700 and experiencing discomfort and terrible sleep, this is the response I received — days later, after leaving a Google review.
Rather than offering a practical solution, the owner raised concerns about our second-hand bed frame, emphasised the discount, free delivery and complimentary mattress protector we received, and explained why he did not believe our concerns established a mattress fault or entitlement to a refund.
What particularly disappointed me was his closing comment, suggesting that I had already made up my mind by posting a review after only 7–8 days, without waiting for his response.
I posted my review because we were experiencing discomfort and back pain and wanted our concerns addressed. I don’t believe customers should have to remain silent about their experiences while waiting for a business to respond.
I appreciate that a new mattress can take time to adjust to, and I understand that a comfort guarantee has terms and conditions. However, I expected a more constructive approach after spending $2,700, rather than a response that left me feeling blamed and unsupported.
The owner has suggested that our bed frame may be affecting the mattress’s performance, but this has not established that the frame is the cause of our discomfort.
My experience has been extremely disappointing. Be careful what you purchase, read the return and comfort-guarantee policies carefully, and make sure you understand your options before signing.

Antwoord van Bedworld Perth - Beds and Mattresses
Dear Justine,
We’re sorry to hear about your discomfort. As your mattress has been used for approximately three nights, it may be too early to assess its comfort fully. Based on the photos provided, we also have concerns about whether your existing second-hand MDF bed frame, with very thin slats, is suitable to support your heavy 34 cm latex mattress. An inadequate base may affect mattress support and comfort. As outlined in our responding email, our 30-Night Comfort Guarantee is subject to its terms and conditions, including bed base suitability and the applicable trial period. We have not identified evidence of a mattress fault at this stage, but we are happy to assess any genuine product issues fairly.
Thank you for your understanding.
Kind regards,
Great quality and value bed, and customer service.
We just bought another "simply the best" brand king single ultra firm bed for the spare room. And again, it doesn't disappoint. Highly recommend the bed and it also seems to be the best value in the area. Great customer service as well as Anand installs the bed on delivery saving you time as well. Thanks again!
