Badly organised. Would not recommend

Exceptionally unhappy with my experience of Belfor. They were employed by my home insurance company following a leak to assess and dry my property. The engineers were fine but the admin/office was shockingly poor. They were disorganised, poor at communicating, shockingly bad diary management, seemed to think people don't work and can be in 24/7 and were ultimately responsible for a 3 month delay to fixing my house. My kitchen was removed all ready for them to start drying but they had some 'issue' and I had to wait a further 2 months before they could fit the dryers. I thought it would be easier using the home insurance suppliers but with hindsight I would have used my own and claimed back the costs. As a result of their mismanagement the overall cost of the insurance repair project increased.

Cassent et puis s’en vont

Intervenus pour une recherche de fuite ils m’ont été envoyés par mon assurance.
Le technicien pendant sa recherche a malencontreusement cassé une pièce de ma cabine de douche. Comme il l’estimait il fallait changer l’entièreté de la cabine.
Et à partir de ce moment Beflor a fait preuve d’une mauvaise foi sans nom, jusqu’à remettre en cause ma parole et changer leur discours. Ils ont évité toute discussion avec moi ou mon assureur.
Après plus de deux mois de procédure ces voleurs s’en sortent sans payer un euro. Toute la procédure aura coûté 1600€ de plus que prévu à cause de cette erreur.
Une société aux valeurs humaines déplorables, bien entraînée pour dire ce qu’il faut au bon moment, surtout jamais par écrit, pour pouvoir modifier à leur guise les déclarations.

so we had flood damage and Belfor was chosen for do the repairs. In a small town house it took so long to get it finished. so many past dates for it to be finished. The workmanship was not the greatest. so many shortcuts and what was listed to be done or replaced was not. one thing was the vanity that was sitting in 6" of water for days and it soaking up the water they put back in place, but the vanity that wasn't in much water on another floor was replaced with a very cheap one. the flooring was said to be replaced with hardwood but is now vinyl flooring. after the flooring was installed they didn't protect it very well and spilled paint all over the floor in a few places, and not just a few drops.
Furnace pipes were not connected in 3 places.
they took toilets out of the washrooms to fix everything and the basement one was sitting in the utility room with the lid in the bowel and they broke it and replaced the lid but broke the bowel but i didn't see it on final walk threw. asked Ben at Belfor about it and said it was like that and took no responsibility and more less said the deal was closed. So more less saying to bad go away.

Really think hard about using Belfor for any work. Crappy workmanship and insurance scammers at the one in Kingston

Vi fick en ny besiktning utförd av företaget efter att våra grannar återigen misstänkt ett vattenläckage från vår toalett, trots att en tidigare besiktning inte hade kunnat påvisa något läckage.

Teknikern som skickades ut hette Dalibor Srejic. Redan innan någon närmare undersökning hade gjorts uppgav han att han trodde sig veta var läckan kom ifrån. Under besiktningen genomfördes tester där färg hälldes i toaletten och duschen fick rinna med högt flöde under en längre tid (cirka 40 minuter). Dessa tester upprepades vid flera tillfällen under några dagar, men enligt vad vi informerades om kunde inget läckage påvisas.

Vid ett tillfälle togs silikon som tidigare suttit runt installationen bort. Vi upplevde inte att detta kommunicerades till oss i förväg.

Vid ett annat tillfälle gick teknikern ner till grannen och borrade i deras bostad. Kort därefter informerades vi om att en läcka hade lokaliserats. När vi frågade var borrningen skett uppgavs att det var i grannens hall.

Vår upplevelse var att kommunikationen under processen kunde ha varit tydligare, särskilt kring vilka åtgärder som skulle utföras och varför. Som kund hade vi uppskattat mer information innan ingrepp gjordes i installationer. Sammantaget gjorde hanteringen att vi upplevde situationen som svår att följa och att förtroendet för bedömningen påverkades.
Utifrån vår erfarenhet skulle vi personligen inte välja att anlita företaget igen och kan därför inte rekommendera tjänsten vidare

I was happy with those from Belfor involved in restoring my property
I especially want to mention Elliot who did such a very good job with the painting. He was courteous and thoughtful and very tidy. I would strongly recommend him to others

Je tenais à vous exprimer toute ma gratitude pour l'interversion, l'efficace de votre équipe, dirigée par Monsieur Kamel, suite à l’incendie survenu dans notre maison.

Le professionnalisme, l'écoute et la compréhension ont été particulièrement appréciés dans ce moment difficile.

Le nettoyage des pièces sinistrées, ainsi que des parties enfumées (salle d’eau, chambre à coucher, entre-chambre, séjour et terrasse), a été réalisé avec un soin et une minutie remarquables.

will cause £1000s in damage with no resolution.

Seny by my insurance to repair my flat after water damage. Initially impressed by their work until it came to snagging. Took several weeks for them come back to fix 2 minor issues (reconnect kitchen fan and attach kitchen kick plates). They instead tore up all the flooring, ruining the floor they just installed, and threw all my furniture and belongings into the bedroom. Any attempt to contact them for an explanation has them passing me on between departments and currently my flat is unlivable with no end in site.

READ ALL REVIEWS BEFORE YOU HIRE THIS COMPANY. We had a flood December 27, paid Belfor a $2,000 to schedule our project and start work. As at February 3 nothing was scheduled and it was difficult to get Jay Wilson our "project manager" to schedule. We had enough and demanded a refund on the charge card they have on file. They have refused and now say on February 10 they will mail us a cheque in a few weeks. Horrible to deal with.......WE ARE STILL WAITING FOR YOU TO REFUND OUR $2.000 THROUGH THE CHARGE CARD YOU HAVE ON FILE. it has been a week and now you wont issue the credit on our charge card????......................

Leak under floorboards

Had a leak under floor boards contacted Protector insurance sent out Belfor absolute waste of time wasted more than six weeks doing nothing. Was told they would do track and trace that never happened. Sent out 2 tradesman one was not a gas engineer other one was supossed to be did not even test the boiler proparly sat in his van for most of the time. Please do not get the company.

Belfor Restoration were recommended by our insurance company after water damage occurred. I would like to say how much I appreciate the hard work of our Insurance Adjuster Su Sahin, She worked tirelessly throughout the many months during this process. I appreciated her input towards the end when certain glitches occured with our insurance company which she kindly helped us settle. I appreciated her dedicated and hard work. Thank you Su.

BEFOR BADDIES

Had a kitchen fire an assessor come and visited.o a month later came to sanitise for 3 days after living in a fire damaged apartment and the job was a joke. Not only that their data breaches has come to light after they sent me someone’s email wrongfully. If an insurance company sends these decline for your own sake. PLEASE BE AWARE

Do not use Belfor

Do not use Belfor. It was the worst experience ever and a few years later, we are still bitter. We had a kitchen fire. Instead of new kitchen cabinets, they pulled the doors off and painted them with CEILING paint. I can't wipe my cabinets because paint comes off. They also hung them back up crooked. There are spaces that shouldn't be there. They took the top dollar money from my insurance company and replaced everything with second rate stuff. I had a steel sink. They replaced it with aluminum. My range hood is junk. They got paint everywhere. Their contractors stole all of our jewelry. They had to replace the carpet due to spilling paint and the carpet is junk. They never finished the back splash. They got paint on our deck that they never rectified. The contractors had no reason to go in our bedroom, but there's paint there too, splotches, while they went thru our drawers and jewelry. They stole my medication. Thousands of dollars in jewelry. Sent the police report to them and got ghosted. They don't deserve to own this business and if I can sue them I will. I had a sewage issue - no way I'd use Belfor!

Don't hire belfor

Insurance send Belfor after basement flood. They "worked " for 5 month and never finished job. Extremely slow unorganized and not professional.
They never fixed or even touched the basement window where water was coming in.
I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY- BELFOR

Helpful and Effective

Ian came round and was able to identify the leak originating from our neighbours quickly and without hassle, also recommended actions to the neighbours to fix the source of the leak. Very happy with the service provided.

5 minute visit, made insurance claim denied

TL:DR Avoid Belfor, get home insurance to send somebody else out, anyone else would be better. Hoinestly just Google for "leak trace and access plumbers" then your town\city and I'll guarantee you'll find much better options.

My home insurance (Home Protect, in the UK) arranged Belfor for trace and access for leaks in my bathroom after Home Protect's home emergency plumber identified 1 leaked pipe and 2 other suspected issues that he couldn't identify due to access issues. My bathroom sink and shower was condemned due to this.

When the Belfor's trace and access engineer (I forgotten their name) arrived literally took 1 look at my shower, saw shower sealant damage, and decided that was his job done. He was literally in and out within 5 minutes (as in arrived at approx 09:45, back out at 09:50). Within the 1st 5 seconds and literally on his first sight of the shower, he blamed the sealant with no testing. He then spent half the time arguing with me about why it must be only the sealant and ignoring the history and what Home Emergancy had found. I had to storm off, telling him to just do his report as he angered me so much that I was about to swear (I managed to keep that in check luckily). The the 2nd half the time was spent writing a report and taking pictures of the sealant leak. Those same pictures showed an obvious pipe leak but his report never mentioned it! He never looked at my sink either at all despite that being something he was suppose to look at as per the Home emergency visit condemning it. The visit was extremely tense cause of the engineers lack of effort and rudeness. It caused frustration and distress that I was no further forward, paid a lot of money for insurance excess for a 5 minute visit that wasted that excess.

The insurer knew this was a bad report and visit but had to deny my claim based on this as it's their latest report, unless I can get another report elsewhere to show otherwise (which I need to pay on top of the excess I already paid) .

I managed to get another trace and access engineer out by another company who were the complete oppsite of Belfor. For 1 they investigated bathroom leaks, based on what they read from the insurer which was based on Home Emergency and the Belfors "visit", for nearly 2 hours. Yes they saw the same sealant leak but they found other causes of concern that should have lead to my claim proceeding. They were shocked at that Belfor missed so much, such as obvious water damage to the wall, pipe leaks right in front of the sealant leak he was taking pictures of, that my sink was actually fine and could be used again etc. He was also shocked Belfor plumber didn't even appear to do simple dye tests. They are atleast going to write a report that could get my claim re-opened, or covered by somebody else's insurance.

Belfor plumber was also rude and gave snippy unhelpful answers. For example when I explained a possible shower pipe issue he just said "not that, it's dry" and wouldn't elaborate when I said that the shower was unused for 2 weeks, which made me feel ignored and that he wasn't interested in being there. When this same thing was pointed out to the non-Belfor plumber, he at least told me "Yeah those pipes still have water pressure in them so if they were the problem, they'd be leaking still and therefore wet, but it's dry so it's not that". Yes both answers are technically the same, but the Non-Belfor guy actually explained it so I am now informed and I had confidence he was actually doing what should be done, and he answered many more questions in a similar manner.

Belfor plumber actually said to me "I'm here to find a leak, there is a leak, what else do you want?" compared with the Non-Belfor plumber who checked for an extra hour after finding the sealant leak cause he knew something wasn't quiet right.

Belfor need to get plumbers actually willing to do checks and properly explain things. I would honestly give 0 star review if I could and they should be ashamed of their plumbers laziness and conduct, which people do not need on stressful situations like leaks.

Aviva sent these thieves to clean up…

Aviva sent this company to clean up after fire damage to the outside of the house and a little bit on the inside. Most of the damage inside the house was smoke damage but these cowboys think smoke can get into unopened sealed bottles of spirits and supposedly disposed of hundreds of pounds worth of unopened bottles of alcohol I’ve no proof but I never saw any signs of the bottles in the skip outside on our driveway.
