Thanks for your review, but you blame the wrong people for the customs charges. Let me elaborate on your costs for you as well as explain the fees.

Suppliers from the UK to the EU do not charge VAT on items leaving the UK, but as you are importing into the EU, you have to pay your country VAT which is 21%. This would be €225 plus €28 = €253 total VAT is €53.13. The courier will also charge an admin fee of around €15 euros plus VAT for the import paperwork. Unfortunately, everyone has to pay VAT; that is just life. Suppliers in the UK do not benefit from this at all. In fact, I know a lot of suppliers will not ship to the EU due to these costs. Maybe you need to write a review on the couriers' pages for their prices. As for the refund of the €16 this was processed on the 18th of September after you emailed in, you would have received an email notification regarding this but please check your bank account to confirm this. The T Nuts you purchased could have been purchased on Amazon if you felt the costs were too high.

Sorry you felt that you needed to write a review like this after we have been communicating via email but in response to your review all we can assure you is that we do not adjust prices when there is a sale. This is simply based on exchange rates converting from GBP to Euro at the time the purchase was made. The exchange rate is something, as we mentioned, we have no control over. We are a UK company and we sell our products in British Pounds. For example a product we sell at £75 (which has never increased since we released the mk2 version over a year ago) today in euros can change based on the current exchange rate. This rate could increase or decrease, but we will receive £75 for that product. As mentioned, the only people that win in this situation are the Banks and the Card Processing companies. We use a live exchange rate system that changes with the current rate of exchange. As you purchased during the sale, you received 15% off the UK price this totalled £131.20 GBP (1 GBP = 1.17918 EUR) - €154.71 EUR. This was your exchange rate at the time you purchased - If you were to purchase today, the cost of the order would have been cheaper by 1 euro based on the current exchange rate if the order had the 15% discount applied, which is the figure I believe you mentioned we had increased our prices by ( for your complete order ). So that you are not left feeling the way you are about our company I will refund the 1 euro as the last thing we would like is for you to feel like you are paying over what you believe the cost to be. I hope that helps you regain some trust back in our company. We will of course take on your feedback and see how we can improve on the exchange rate information.
