Bethesda has become a dishonest train…
Bethesda has become a dishonest train wreck of it's former self made worse by when microsoft took over.
There had been an implied promise since the beginning you buy our game, we will give you the tools and documentation to modify the game and maximize your experience.
That's now changed with Bethesda in Starfield gating the documentation behind an NDA which strips modders of some of their rights in order to get to the documentation on how to mod.
This is an attempt to kill the free modding community by removing the documentation people have to work much harder to get anything done and in some cases just can't or leave mods a buggy mess.
Bethesda stated their tools were free - free means you have to have documentation on how to work with said tools, no documentation is a broken promise.
I will not be buying any more Bethesda or Microsoft products considering Microsoft are probably behind this move and thus am voting with my wallet. Apathy will leave you owning no games renting them off a slow 3rd party server over rented bandwidth and having a crappy experience. Microsoft have already shown with their latest patent applications that this is what they want gaming as a service where you run the game you RENT from their server.

I played the expedition game on my PS5 the most Sentinel game three out of six times it froze at the very end I did not get any rewards. I had enough. I canceled my subscription to this company. I uninstall the game on my PS5. I would not buy another game from this company or even take it for free there programmers are a joke. They keep coming out with new crap and don't fix the old I would not recommend this company or any other games for anybody. I'm not sure why they're still in business. October 15, 2026

Another pointless Skyrim update that just highlights the incompetence of the company. Thanks for showing everyone why we no longer should buy your rubbish
Bethesda's Oblivion is Abysmal
Bethesda Game Studios has officially turned the beloved craft of game development into a masterclass in corporate negligence, and their latest cash-grab—the "remastered" edition of The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion—is the absolute breaking point. Charging premium prices for a fresh coat of paint on a twenty-year-old engine is audacious enough, but delivering a product so fundamentally broken that it actively rejects completion is a slap in the face to a loyal fanbase. The breaking point for me—and the reason this digital waste of space has been permanently uninstalled from my system—is the absolute catastrophe that is the Grey Fox "Turning a Blind Eye" Elder Scroll heist mission. This isn't a minor, charming "Bethesda glitch" where a bucket flies across a room or an NPC gets stuck in a wall. This is a game-breaking, progression-halting disaster. After hours of sneaking, planning, and enduring a barrage of micro-stutters and crashes, the game completely collapses under its own weight during one of the most iconic quests in RPG history. Whether it’s the Grey Fox refusing to accept the stolen Elder Scroll, the quest script failing to trigger the next stage, or the UI completely freezing during the interaction, the result is exactly the same: a hard dead-end.For a company of Bethesda's scale to release a costly remaster where a mainline, faction-ending questline is completely unfinishable is nothing short of embarrassing. They didn’t remaster Oblivion; they just figured out a way to monetize their historical laziness all over again. If you want to experience the frustrating dead-ends of a broken bureaucracy, save your money and go to the DMV instead. At least they don't charge you seventy dollars for a digital paperweight.
Amazing how one of my most loved games…
Amazing how one of my most loved games over the decades has become my most hated, and that’s simply because of the company behind it. Everything they make is broken and everything they try to fix breaks it even more. If I pay $100 for the complete edition of the game, I expect it to work, not crash when loading it up for the first time after a new purchase. Then the fact that there is a mod store that half the population can’t use because that crashes or doesn’t work as intended as well. . . The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result which is what I’ve been doing with Skyrim, but the AE edition is broken and I’ve given up. I will never play another Bethesda game lest I have the urge to throw my controller through the wall. Elder scrolls 6? Who cares

I had an issue linking my Bethesda account with PlayStation, and the customer-support representative who helped me was absolutely amazing. He was extremely patient, helpful, and walked me through the entire process of getting back into the correct account, including resetting my password.
What really stood out was how passionate and knowledgeable he was about Bethesda and gaming. We had a great conversation while he helped me, and he even shared some interesting updates about Bethesda. As someone who has always been a huge fan of gaming and Bethesda’s game development, I was honestly a little starstruck!
He was professional, patient, passionate, and genuinely great to talk to. I honestly didn’t want the conversation to end, but I knew I had to let him get back to helping other customers.
Unfortunately, I didn’t get his name, but he mentioned that he was based out of the Austin location. If you happen to see this, brother, thank you so much! You made what could have been a frustrating situation into a great experience.
I’m extremely grateful for the help and for Bethesda’s customer support. 5 stars all day!

Nothing but hate for Bethesda after update.
After this recent Skyrim update, my game crashes after opening the map 4 times. I'm so fed up with Bethesda. I have nothing but hate for this company at this point. You broke my happy place. I hope you people get hemorrhoids. I hope you step on Lego, trip, fall onto more Lego and spill your coffee and break your favorite coffee mug. I hope you stub your toe right after.
Went from great to this..
Went from great to this... Skyrim was the last great title. Everything has been a hyped let down since. Then they openly celebrate the assassination of an American with an opposing political affiliation. They have game breaking software bugs that prevent hot from playing their games you already purchased. Like error code 40901. Where the error is on their end due to poor updating and you have to wipe a ticket to get our fixed which can take weeks... DEI hasn't served any of us well, at all...

Shame on you guys. You just had to ruin ability for people to run the game huh? Just to make a few more bucks.

Beware of this shoddy American company! (Zenimax / Bethesda)
Any online game from this company risks losing everything without justification, including all your money spent on the game or any in-game purchases.
I asked them to verify my Elder Scrolls Online account so I could send gifts within the game, and I received a permanent ban because:
They claimed I cheated or used cheats! When I never used cheats during over 600 hours of gameplay!
And the evidence consisted of some messages in private in-game chats with other players, talking about "developer mode," "script," and "Tamriel Trade Centre." In other words, I received a permanent ban based on interpretations of those words!
I created a script for a third-party website called Tamriel Trade Centre; practically all players use it, either via the website or via add-ons available in the game.
I didn't break any rules. I created and used the script only for a function to automate products that were appearing on the third-party market, and it showed me this information in real time with external notifications.
Any procedure after that information is done manually.
Nothing was directly linked to the game, nor to the Zenimax company website, nothing automated in the game, or any advantage over other players.
I've already sent two emails and have been waiting for days for a response with proof that I broke any game rules.
Until then, I've lost more than 100 euros invested in the game, more than 600 hours wasted, contacts... to a garbage company, full of irresponsible people!
Incompetent and even thieves, I'd say, if they don't unban me!
In a few days, I'll make everything I created available, also in open source, on various platforms so that all players can use it until the developers are forced to implement this function!
And besides, I'm going to expose what a bunch of crap you are with that attitude you have towards me!
Terrible customer service
Terrible customer service for their games Skyrim and Skyrim Anniversary edition. The game play is slow and lagging, crashing, and no support for what you pay for. Don't use Bethesda games for your entertainment, you will not have any support from them or from Steam for that matter.

Starfield gekauft und nach ersten 15 min. das erste mal abgestürzt. An der gleichen Stelle wie bei einigen. Bethesda ist kein guter Konzern. Fällt unter die gleiche Kategorie wie Ubisoft.
Fallout 76 It's truly disappointing.
have been a Fallout fan for years. Fallout 3 and Fallout New Vegas are some of my favorite RPGs ever made, and in 2026 I finally decided to give Fallout 76 a real chance. Honestly, I genuinely believe this game has damaged almost everything that made Fallout special.
The game feels completely absurd from the very beginning. I was under level 10 with starter weapons, and I was already killing Deathclaws and enemies that should have been terrifying. Why? Because the AI is unbelievably broken. You just climb onto a high object or stand inside a building behind a door or window, and the enemies become helpless. Large enemies cannot properly reach you, so you just stand there shooting them until they die. There is no tension, no survival feeling, no fear, and no intelligent enemy behavior. It completely destroys immersion.
Loot is another disaster. You kill a random wolf and suddenly it drops a shotgun or ridiculous equipment that makes absolutely no sense. Fallout used to have worldbuilding and believable progression. Here it feels like enemies are just loot piñatas designed for grinding. Nothing feels grounded anymore.
The constant “go there, bring this back, kill that” structure feels like a cheap MMO grind instead of a Fallout RPG. Fallout 3 and New Vegas also had missions where you traveled around the map, but those games had atmosphere, writing, consequences, memorable characters and meaningful exploration. In Fallout 76, I constantly feel like I am playing a Fortnite-style live service game wearing Fallout’s skin.
The subscription systems and monetization make everything even worse. Fallout was never supposed to feel like a live-service cash machine built around subscriptions, battle pass style content and grinding loops. The soul of the franchise has been replaced with systems designed to keep players farming endlessly.
Even after all the updates, the game still feels empty, repetitive and mechanically outdated. The world looks interesting visually, but the gameplay underneath it is shallow. Combat lacks impact, enemy scaling ruins progression, survival mechanics barely matter anymore, and exploration loses meaning once you realize most encounters are repetitive.
What hurts most is that the Fallout universe had incredible potential. Instead of building on the atmosphere and RPG depth of the older games, Bethesda turned it into an online grind simulator.
As a long-time fan, this honestly feels less like Fallout and more like a corporate imitation of Fallout.
