I was apprehensive at first honestly, but my ear infection and small children made this something that I had to take a risk on.

I COULDN'T BE ANY MORE GLAD THAT I DID!

Consultation, diagnosis AND prescription collected from my pharmacy all within 40 minutes.
Doctor was helpful, made me feel comfortable and I also really felt he had an understanding of what I was explaining to him. Highly recommend Dr Matthew Smith if you can book him, I'd say he's who I'd try for if ever I need to use the service again.

Might I just add I walked to my local pharmacy, if I'd driven time taken would have been significantly reduced. Prescription was packed nicely waiting for me when I arrived. Very pleased

I booked an appointment on the wrong date, so tried to cancel it. I woke up to a text reminder for an appointment today. Which I never made.… they kept deducting from my credit card, even though I had cancelled the appointment

Physically going in to see a doctor is worth the hassle after this afternoons appointment.
The doctor asked me: what's wrong, I briefly explained the problem to him expecting follow up questions but he went straight into prescribing not 1 but 5 medications from my 3 sentence explanation lol
NEVER booking an appointment again.

I was told by Bettr doctor that:
a) he had never done a referral before
b) I received the referral letter which I sent to the 'specialist referral centre', where I received feedback that the referral letter did not record 'the services' sought after by patient.
c) so I contacted Bettr again & was told that since telehealth cannot do an physical vital health check, Bettr cannot issue referral letter.
d) when advised that patient had in the last month seen a specialist where vital health checks were done, doctor & office staff refused to revise the referral letter, claiming Bettr does not have access to 'all' medical records held by your actual doctor organisation. I called my doctor organisation staff who confirmed that Bettr has access, yet denied they have access. This is Not honest!

Spoke with a doctor and he said he would send me a prescription which I never received, despite following up. Expensive as well. Overall a frustrating experience, would not recommend.

Throw your money in the fire instead.

Terrible experience with DR. Hutchinson, my partner was told there would be follow-up after the very bland and unhelpful consultation which never came.

Let me give you an idea of what you can expect if you book an online consultation.

After stating your problem to the doctor, in this case Mr. Hutchinson, explains that the best thing to do is get rest. When asked if medication would be an option, his response was: "You really need to be assessed by a professional."

Please correct me if I am wrong, but isn't that what your consultation is for?

If your best advice for mental health issues are "rest and healthy eating", we might as well have resorted to youtube.

If you can't make a professional assessment of your patients, what is it I have paid for exactly?

Please, please avoid this company and its poor consultations.

Just had an appointment and the doctor advised on multiple occasions that he could not replace my regular doctor and only provided limited support. This is not made at all clear on the website. Would be ideal for someone looking for an urgent appointment or for a non-resident who is unable to register with a surgery, otherwise I suggest sticking with your regular surgery.

Horrible experience.
I did a phone consultation with one of the doctors, Dr Raj Shekar - initial consultation went alright yet he said he’s gonna write me a prescription which never came. Bettr website does not provide a contact number to follow up. There was also
no contact number for this doctor to follow up. In my frustration, I finally saw his name on the internet after searching for hours and eventually found his practice clinic in Manurewa. I called his clinic (09) 264 1640 but it was out of service. I finally got hold of a working contact number with the after hours number for his clinic (09) 274 7823 and waited for 1 and a half hours but to no avail. I am in a lot of pain and gonna seriously escalate this matter to HDC. This GP and the Bettr app is a scam that needs to stop.

Initial experience was amazing, no issues with the actual consultation or doctor at all. However terrible follow up experience. I received no prescription and lab form was blank. I tried to call but no answer, so I left a message. Over 24 hours later with no response I called again only to be told that the lab has my information so I don’t need a form and the prescription was sent but there “must’ve been an issue”. So essentially taking no ownership and no explanation as to why no one has responded to the phone message I left. I also questioned why I was charged as a non-registered patient even though I registered on the day before my appointment (transferred from another city), seems unfair. Sort out your post consultation processes!

The appointment was great. It was convenient, my GP was helpful, and the process was easier than a walk in office

Not a positive experience.
The call was not initiated by the GP despite the online booking and subsequen confirmation.
Limited health when the GP you are consulting with does not have access to your health history.

I should have liked the ability to have the link sent directly to my email address , rather than having to receive the link by phone text, then I have to email from my phone to PC to be able to hold the Virtual consultation.
The consultation was very clear -visually and audibly and I shall have no hesitation using it again if I have no specific need to see the doctor on his/her premises.

Found the process easy, and quick.

Very dissapointed. Doctor was late, very unhelpful, argumentative, did not do anything for me at all, issue was not resolved, promised me to do something and email me prescription and did not do it and didn't leave any notes.

I did not have a good opinion of better as the link between the doctor and myself was at first strained to the point that the doctor ended having to call direct. Then on explaining my problem and the doctor prognosis and decision on what form of act and medication the doctor then said she would write a prescription and did not follow through with either. Like presenting a prescription for me or even leaving a record of my complaint so that I could discuss the problem better with my general doctor. So I have no confidence in the Bettr linc.

I hopped on my laptop five minutes prior to my video consultation and it said I am in the waiting room then I received a call at the time of my booking saying that I need to log in the doctors waiting for me which confuse me as I was already there and then I refresh the page to see if it helped. I waited for 10 minutes past my booking time and the doctor still wasn’t there so I called Bettr and they said that I wasn’t logged in which is incorrect as I was already logged in five minutes prior to my booking time. You have a eally horrible service I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone and they did a terrible job and I never got my refund. I ended up having to drive to the doctors myself while being injured, once again, horrible service.

Best service, affodable , convenience,

It was a quick and easy process. He asked good questions and was able to help me. I work long hours and find it hard to get to my doctors.
