Big Bus Tours Muscat Reviews 

I arrived in Oman a few weeks ago to find the services of Big Bus in Muscat, Oman of all places. I had just used Big Bug in Dubai and had a great experience. I quickly signed up online and was very pleased with the services offered in their newest city. One young man in particular made my experience stand out was one of their hospitality employees that checked you in by the name of Edwin. Edwin was not only good at what he did but he was exceptional. His customer services skills were second to none with a number of helpful hints on what to see/do while in Oman. Thanks for the outstanding experience Big Bus. I will be back

I am a hop on hop off customer all over the world, but before buying I always read previous customers evaluations. My experience in Muscat was excelent : all members of the staff were very efficient and kind!

I was pleased with all the things that you provided. Especialy to get water all times at the bus.
The stops are good choosed and the information on bord too.
Recommended tour but make sure that the Sultan Qaboos Mosque is on the way net time.

A good affordable way to see Muscat.
Tour information needs to advise you the days of opening for the churches stop. We got off to find they were not open. Enjoyable and informative

Great way to see the highlights of Muscat. We opted for the two day ticket as that offered better value and more chance to see the sights. The buses ran frequently, often more than every 30 minutes and the start and end time allowed a full days activity. The only negative comment I would say is that on the busier day, a week day the buses ran out of drinking water before midday and it was a really hot day.

I would recommend the bus tour to anyone wanting to see the highlights of muscat.

Took long time for the bus to arrive, and then it was filled up to the last spot. Driver was driving annoyingly: too fast, not smooth, not cinsidering having a bunch of tourists on board. Waiting time between busses and the return bus to our cruiseboat took forever. Not worth the high rates! Better take a taxi tour next time.

In Muscat und Abu Dhabi hat uns die Rundfahrt mit Big Bus Tours wirklich gut gefallen.
In Dubai würden wir sie nicht wieder buchen, da die Wege einfach zu weit sind und man doch sehr lange unterwegs ist, wenn man sich in zwei Tagen lediglich die Big Points anschauen will.
Was hervorragend war, war die Internet-Verbindung an Bord einiger Busse!!!

the big bus is an great idea for the turist, this is my opinion.
but, why not include also the great mosque ?

As a first time visitor to Muscat with no wish to drive on our short visit, the Big Bus was an obvious choice. We were not disappointed. At the chosen pickup point there was a helpful attendant and, although we only got off at Mutrah Souk, the same applied there. In two hours you see many of Muscat's attaractions with a good commentary on the sights and the country.

The only negative was that, while the service is advertised at each stop as every 30 minutes, it was actually 40 minutes on the day we went. Not a big issue though.

The big bus part of things is fine, good commentary, regular service etc.etc.
Its the tour that is the thing. There is not a great deal to see in Muscat, Apart from the old town souk the attractions around the stops are a bit second rate in comparison to say Dubai.
The opening hours of such attractions as there are, Mosque, Armed forces museum,opera house etc. are fine for the staff but not for visitors. overall verdict on Oman, a great place to visit once.

It was great, I think you only need 1 day and then you can use taxis to go to your favorite paces if needed other days. I will say one of the drivers was pretty aggressive in hitting on the female passengers which is the only reason this isn't 5 stars for me.

Big Bus is a good way to see many places in Muscat since the area is too lengthy to walk everywhere. Trying to purchase a ticket at the bus was difficult since sometimes there was an agent at the site and other times no one except the driver. Not everyone can book online, so that meant riding past a stop until there was an agent who could accept money. My biggest confusion and longest delays were sorting out which bus at the Mutrah Suq was the "regular" bus vs the "going back to the ship" bus! Also at the Mutrah Suq bus parking seems to be a problem if the Big Bus needs to wait. There needs to be a couple of stops one for "off" and one for "on" and also have a sign on the front of a bus if its "route" that day is to the ship.

Alle waren sehr höflich und hilfsbereit!
Außerdem hat es mit der Verständigung auf englisch prima geklappt.
Der Bus war immer sauber und Wasser+Kopfhörer standen auch immer zur Verfügung.
Ganz Besonderes + für das freie WIFI!

A great way to do an overview of Muscat!

I had 1 day in Muscat and wanted to maximize my time. The Big Bus Tour provided a great overview of the city's highlights. The 30 minute frequency gave enough time for me to enjoy stops I wanted to explore. The audio commentary was also helpful. Would definitely recommend!

I really enjoyed the Bis Bus tour in Muscat.
The tour is complete and well explained. It touches all the important sites of Muscat. I think the frequency of buses should be improved since 30 minutes is too much especially in case of traffic (I had to wait one hour). There was no wifi on the bus on the contrary of big bus tours in other cities.
Anyway, in summary I strongly recommend this tour! The easiest and more comfortable way for visiting Muscat.

We were a bit worried initially as the first bus driver was unresponsive and distant however to our delight the remaining drivers were excellant. One even stopped and let us get out and waited for us to take pics. I found the trip very informative and learnt things I did not know even though I frequently am in Oman.Thanks BigBus..great experience and highly recommend. Cheers from Australia :)
