What is happening to UK businesses?
Tried Bike Delivery for the first time. A simple collection & delivery. Tracking was working well & expecting delivery today.Had they just done that, no issue, but.,,, I just received a message saying BIKE IS OVERSIZED & I must pay another £20 on top of an already high price. I send items twice as big for half the price with other couriers. The bike that is being delivered isn’t even their standard size ADULT bike size, it’s a CHILDS BIKE. This means they will try this scam with everyone who books a bike delivery. I have someone waiting for the delivery today at my expense, so if they see the errors of their ways and deliver as they agreed, I’ll remove this honest review; otherwise it stays.
Whole process easy collection and…
Whole process easy collection and delivery perfect. All good can really recommend!
Easy to book
Easy to book, easy to add insurance to required level and great comms from start to finish. Have used before and would always be my first choice
Really good
Really good. Picked up bicycle yesterday. Delivered today as far as I know customers happy. Thank you royal mail. Let me down and you saved the day
Avoid.
They were supposed to be collecting my bike from my home address to deliver to an address in Sussex.Went onto the website and booked it, paid the money, arranged the collection date and received a time-slot of 8am-6pm. After an e-mail asking roughly what time for collection I was told they do not have access to the depot's scheduling! The courier never turned up.The following day I E-mailed explaining the situation and asking when they were now collecting. No response.Three E-mails later still no response. My bike has now been booked with another courier at great expense to me, let alone the inconvenience.Reading the reviews on Trustpilot (I wish I had before) it's very obvious it isn't just my experience! Plenty of other companies dealing in bike delivery, avoid this one at all costs. Terrible service.
Next day collection+next day…
Next day collection and next day delivery! Superb company.
Sold something on eBay, arranged delivery with BikeDelivery as it was the cheapest I’d found to ship the bike. They came and collected less than 24 hours of me booking, and was delivered to buyer within 24 hours!
Will definitely be using again if I need to!
Thanks
Over night.......4 days later.
Over night.......4 days later.
Poor service throughout......the courier driver from APC arrived, with his own agenda.......NOT ENOUGH ROOM ON THE VAN, at 9:30am.....LIAR.
Eventually 3 days later APC collected the bicycle.
No updates for 3 days, no emails, no response.......
First time ,and last time I use them
I used BikeDelivery for the first time, for a pre-Xmas bike shipment. I felt it was not cheap, however I was prepared to give them the benefit of the doubt to get my bike to where it needed to be in time for Xmas. I was disappointed however when 2 days later I received an email, saying it was NOT delivered due to being oversized and demanding an additional £20 for the shipment to be released. This was because the box was just 2cm too tall. (Everything else was well within spec) I got no additional help from customer service email, and was left with no choice but to stump up the cost, making it nearly £80 to ship. Way too much. Won't be using them again.
So after the chaos of trying to…
So after the chaos of trying to navigate Parcel farces website and getting generally messed around by them decided to look for another option.
Found these guys, so it's basically a front for a normal courier company but all in all a much better option than Parcel farce.
Booking was easy to do , and the faqs on the site clarify most queries you will probably have.
I already had a bike box so didn't need this option.
The bike was picked up next-day in the alloted time band.
And delivered less than 24hrs later (MCR to London) so pretty impressed with that.
I'm assuming it arrived in good condition.
My only gripe? As standard they only include £100 worth of insurance/cover, I'd bet that most peoples bikes that are being shipped are worth more than that so you are obliged to pay extra, personally I think the basic cover included should be more.
Use someone else...
Purchased a new bike on Ebay and arranged collection with the seller. They had difficulty with tracking info and had to chase it up. Then my 'next day delivery' was delayed, I only found this out when I contacted BikeDelivery. So basically comms are non existent. Was denied a refund, even a partial one due to this.
They aren't especially a bike company either, they are a regular courier who have created some branding and a side business giving the appearance of this (in my opinion).
All good
Bike was collected from Dorset and arrived at its destination in Fife the next day. All great, with tracking from order to delivery. I had boxed the bike up myself prior to collection.
Had an email saying the bike would not…
Had an email saying the bike would not be released because slightly over size, extra £20 to pay. Won’t be using them again
Brilliant service
I had an old bmx that had been sitting for 4 years, it turned out to be a collectors item, I sold the bike the day I put it up for sale, but the buyer was way down in Surrey, me being way up North in Scotland meant it was Roughly 600 miles away, a google search result led me to bikedelivery. co. uk, I found the whole process simple and easy, I did have huge cardboxes but opted just to have a bikedelivery flatpack box and padding delivered, this arrived 3 days before pick up, bike was packed away and picked up 3 days later, the bike was delivered in due course, whole process took 7 days, I highly recommend 😊
One star because zero isn’t an option
Totally let down by this company. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. Scam artists. Go find someone else to send your bike through. Piss poor company, run by a set of morons
Not the best experience with 'Bike Delivery uk'
I Needed to post a second hand emtb, within the UK.
Looked online and opted for 'Bike Delivery.co.uk' I proceed to there website and put in both post codes in and got a price, booked the pickup..... which was through APC couriers, they arrived on time on the day of the collection but I got the impression they didn't know in was a Bike size box and there was only just enough room on the van for it ( I helped lift the box onto the Van) no problem.
Bike was delivered the next day, but I'd by then received a extra £20 charge for an over size package??? WHY don't Bike Delivery uk have extra info boxes on there website ie kg weight & box dimensions, that way we would know exactly what price we will be paying 😤 and I think the fact that the company is called 'Bike Delivery uk' would give anyone a big clue as to the possible size of the item being sent???
So apart from that, the bike was delivered even though they said they had put a hold on the delivery.
Check packaging size before using
Despite being a specialist bike couriering service, they charged extra for a full-sized bike box (i.e. a box big enough to avoid removing the front wheel).
Delivered the next day
Delivered the next day, as promised. In good condition. Was collected on time.
Only a minor thing, that the box was delivered 2 days late, but there was plenty of time to pack so no harm done. Also, they don't send automated emails for box delivery, but they do have a tracker link at the bottom of the email. Which I missed first.
But these are minor faults and they did reply to my email with reassurance the box had been delivered.
Happy overall.
Bike Delivery doesn’t!
The company sent a long order number and a consignment number for a company called APC overnight. A man in a van turned up, no ID on the van it was full of other heavy items he didn’t know it was a bike didn’t realise it had to be upright which he then did. Not his fault but he was delivering it to APC. So 3 companies were involved. It turned out it was APC number I should have put in E Bay so the hassle getting that changed was excruciating. Over all I would advise people to cut Bike Delivery out of the equation and go APC or another company directly. It was delivered the next morning so cannot fault APC. But the confusion in the fact that you can track it on both websites is very stressful.
they canceld my collection then charged…
they canceld my collection then charged me £10 a very @:@: company if you ask me dont waste your time or money just look at some of the other reviews
The courier they chose didn’t arrive to…
The courier they chose didn’t arrive to pick up the bike on the scheduled day despite having an email to say what time they’d arrive. The consignment number I was given to track the parcel also didn’t work. After contacting Bike Delivery, I received vague advice which didn’t solve any issues. I wouldn’t use this service again.
