Bike Stop UK Reviews 

Having carried out an online search for an independent motorcycle clothing store, Bike Stop in Old Stevenage came up. Even though it was a bit of a journey from Central London, it proved to be well worth it. On my first visit, the staff where extremely helpful and knowledgeable, something I didn’t find when I visited a central London chain. Though I didn’t purchase anything on the initial visit, they seemed very happy to have given me the time. My 2nd trip was this weekend, I was served by Cameron + input from other staff members and it was my intention to purchase a helmet, but as a result of the excellent service, I felt confident to go the whole way and ended up with head to foot bike kit and we had already passed closing time, but at no time did they rush me….……All I need now is a bike!! So, thank you Cameron and the team and Martin the owner, you are doing a great job and deserve your success. PS Cameron, what was the model of bike you were riding please, that you showed me when I exited

Went in to Bikestop to get a cover for my one piece leather suit, I was served by Pierre, he was really helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. I have been going into Bikestop for as long as I can remember, the astmosphere is always good and they always have a lot of stock available.

Bought a pair of Revit Boots, Excellent!! service knowledge, suggestions etc.

Came in to get a full set of new gear for a new bike I’d bought. I’d never had the chance to get nice new gear before so it was an exciting experience. Martin Short served me and helped get anything I wanted. He came up with some good suggestions and left me alone when I needed to think or try a few bits on. They stayed late as I overrun slightly and even swapped some sizes etc at the till after hours. Great gear, lovely shop and the bike parking had pavement anchors for locks which was great. My only suggestions for improvement (hence why 4 and not 5 stars) is to provide a drinks machine / tea and coffee and air condition the shop better as it was sweltering trying on the gear. Also, my mate was entitled to NHS discount and was spending a lot of money and no attempt to save him a bit of money was offered even when we asked. We found out when we got home he could have saved £85. Ah well too late, we know for next time.

Great service from Pierre at the Bike Stop as usual. After a great experience recently with Pierre when purchasing a Belstaff Brooklands Jacket, I returned for some TCX Boots today, and a coffee! Thanks as ever and see you again.

As soon as I entered I was welcomed and and if I needed assistance, was told where to go for helmets and gloves. Martin Short was a great help in getting the right size helmet and giving me his opinion from experience when it came to buying gear. Will definitely be going back.

Popped in to find out where the “reset” button was on my intercom. Came out with a new fitted pinlock, cleaned and serviced helmet and informative banter with Pierre. So just the usual brilliant customer service!. And it’s that which keeps companies like Bike Stop at the top of their game. See you again soon !

First visit. Cameron was a great guy. Helpful and took time to talk thing through. Went in for one item and picked up a Bellstaff on the sale rack as well!

I visited the shop to get a new helmet. Martin Short was very helpful, and patient, as I tried almost every one in the shop.
If there is one bit of kit you don’t want to skimp on (but to be fair there are several) then it’s your lid. Martin knows his lids, and the standards.
This is at least my third helmet from Bikestop, it’s the knowledge and patience of the staff that sells them!

Friendly and helpful advice from fellow motorcyclists (M. Short this time) in a shop that’s bigger than it looks. I went in with a list of three textile jackets from three different manufacturers based on some online research but I was there to try and buy on the day. I took some time to think because jacket number three was significantly more expensive but there was no pressure and I bought it, a Halvarssons Vansbro black and grey textile jacket. Nice fit and feel, it’s light and it looks good. The vents (chest, back and cuffs) work well, zips and pockets feel secure. Not tested in the cold and rain yet (it’s August) and long may that continue, but when it inevitably happens I’m confident all those high-tech materials will do the business, and there’s a 2-year Halvarssons warranty which I wasn’t expecting. Happy customer.
