Yet again I make the mistake of ordering from a company that uses Evri as their delivery partner. Apparently the package is at Evri delivery depot. For days. I try the Evri chatbot, which is unhelpful, and then it tells me it's going to connect me to a 'live agent', and that the current waiting time is approximately 1 minute. 30 minutes later... nothing.
I guess Evri undercuts every (get it?) other delivery service, and Birkenstock don't care as they've already got their money from you.

Purchased the product and did not receive an order confirmation, so had no idea if the purchase was successful despite money leaving my account, I tried several time to get in touch with them to see if it had gone through and had no success. I also didn't receive a dispatch notification or any tracking information, and the product arrived today unannounced. Very disappointing and would not purchase from them directly again.

I am extremely disappointed with the delivery service provided by Evri. Despite multiple attempts to contact them, I have still not received my items.
I have sent several emails and received numerous notifications stating that my parcel would be delivered, yet none of these promises have been fulfilled. All efforts to get a clear update or resolution have been in vain, with no proper communication or follow-up from their side.
This level of service is unacceptable. I expected a reliable delivery process, but instead experienced delays, lack of transparency, and poor customer support.
Overall, this has been a very frustrating experience, and I am extremely disappointed. I dont recommand buyîng from them at all

I am so frustrated that I decided to write a review to warn people about what a rip off their refund process is. I bought a pair of Naples shoes. I wore them a couple of times and the sole started to come apart at the toe. I sent them back for a refund. They original cost me £145.95, I received a refund for £134.95 and was charged a further £5 for an international transaction. So to get a refund has cost me £16!!! Absolutely disgusted

Very poor customer service
I love Birkenstocks but will not be buying from them directly again due to dreadful customer service. I ordered 2 pairs of children’s sandals, they sent me 2 pairs of men’s trainers and refused to send me the items I ordered and paid for. I now have to return the men’s trainers, wait 14 days for this to be processed and then a further 14 days for the refund.
BEWARE UK BUYERS - nightmare returns process
BEWARE UK BUYERS - be prepared for a 30+ days return service if you are using the Birkenstock 'returns' process. I purchased 1 Jan 2026. I needed to return the shoes as they were too big. I tried to use the courier service offered by Birkenstock, but Evri failed to pick the item up after 5 days of waiting. I then chose to return the item using Royal Mail at my own cost (not an issue). My item arrived at UK Birkenstock 21/1/26. No customer service notifications received and emails left unanswered. I called on the 27/1/26 and was told that a refund could take up to 14 days as the item needed to be sent back to Germany before processing a refund. I will never buy Birkenstock again (there are plenty of brands to choose from - I've just placed an order with LANX - check them out!).

Having ordered Birkenstock clogs for years in store I am totally shocked at my online delivery experience. For some weird reason they use EVRI which as everyone knows are the worst of the courier companies. I ordered the shoes on 29th November and have had various 'your order is on its way' or 'your order as been delayed' messages until yesterday when I was told the package is being returned and they will give me a refund. EVRI have not even tried to deliver and Birkenstock know this. When I spoke to Birkenstock customer service the agent basically said tough luck and why didn't I try to order again on their website. I asked whether they could use another courier company and she said no they only use EVRI - so no shoes and no way of getting another pair (and as yet no refund). So much for German efficiency!
No delivery no refund
I ordered Arizona sandals, promised delivery in 1-2 days. The day after I ordered I received an email saying Birkenstock were too busy and didn’t know when they would deliver the order. Then, with just a couple of hours notice, they tried to deliver. Was told parcel would be delivered next day. 4 days later nothing received I contact Birkenstock by email to receive a reply saying I had to wait! I don’t need the sandals any longer. I was supposed to bring with me as a present. I tried chat asking for a refund and the customer service person says there’s nothing they can do and closes off the chat. I have no sandals and Birkenstock has my money. No refund. Appalling service. Very disappointed.

Horrendous!!!! Evri failed to deliver parcel stating lost in transit! Trying to get a refjnd now as its been too long a wait for my items. Customer service is just as bad as Evri having to chase the all the time to get any update on my order.

Hopeless logistics and customer service. They shipped the wrong item but couldn’t care less that the item is no longer in stock. I complained and they sent me a £10 coupon which can’t actually be used for the item I’m trying to buy. You couldn’t make it up really.

They invoke 3 German working day limits before they can even speak to Evri. There is a refusal to refund. I will never place a direct order with Birkenstock again.
Happy with my purchase online
Happy with my purchase online. Good fit and feels comfortable. Purchased the Birmingham Moc Oiled Leather boots. Not a cheap purchase but it’s worth it. Wanna say thank you to the birkenstock lady staff at the Covent Garden branch for letting me try on some of the boots at the store in order for me to get the right size tho you didn’t have the stock there. I appreciate you doing that for me.
Report this company to the UK ICC
Please do not buy anything from this company online and if you have bad experience report it to Trading Standards as we need to come together and try to stop them trading online in the UK. For the second time, the first time being last year, Birkenstock online have withheld a refund due to me on return of my order. This is a substantial order of five pairs of shoes which I have proof of return for. I contacted them over a month ago to advise them that they had only refunded one of the five pairs and as usual the customer service adviser could not help me because it had to go to a specialist team. That team took more than a month to respond to me and have now told me that they will not refund the four pairs because they only received one pair. Meanwhile I have received my refund from my card company AMEX but this is not good enough. I have now decided to report the matter to Trading Standards. Please do likewise if you have a similar issue. Please note as Birkenstock is a company based in Germany you must contact the UK ICC. Their website is ukecc.net or call them on 01268 886 690. I have reported the matter and they told me that they do make a report to the Government about retailers. So I would urge anyone with problems like this to contact them and report the matter and maybe one day we will get Birkenstock UK Online Shop barred from trading in the UK.
I would also like to add regarding the quality, the shoes are very poor. They often come with scuff marks or glue stuck to them. I have never had a problem with EVRI, we have a great delivery lady in our area and delivery has never been a problem. Only the returns and refunds is the nightmare and the general quality of the shoes.

I made my purchase online. I was fearing that because of the bad reviews on Trustpilot, so I emailed Birkenstock. I said that I wanted to buy their shoes via their website but, reading through those reviews, it looks like they are having a lot of trouble with their delivery service and I'm afraid that the same thing will happen to me. Having said that, I made it clear that I'm willing to give them a chance because Birkenstock is so well established company through the centuries. They emailed me back next day saying that indeed they are having troubles with their delivery service but they are working on the improvement. This lady was very nice and helpful. So, one month later, which is now, I made my purchase online on Tuesday and my boots were delivered to me on Saturday morning (today)!. How cool is that?! Boots are great!

Don’t wear light colour socks
Shoes purchased, lovely quality leather, very comfortable, delivery was very good but……after the first day of wearing, I noticed the die from the insole which is a tan colour, had transferred onto my socks, admittedly the socks were white (to start with) they are now a nice tan colour. I emailed asking for advice, their reply was, which I felt, was very abrupt, and no advice was given. So my advice to anyone, don’t wear light colour socks.
Shoes never arrived
Shoes never arrived, Birkenstock customer service team are terrible and keep sending me forms asking for the same information (Evri lost my parcel) it’s a waste of time trying to get in contact with them.

This company has appalling customer service. Twice they said my order got damaged by courier but did not offer to replace it. A refund would happen only 14 days after the courier returned the damaged product. This is a scam. Why did it happen twice? I’ve received no refund yet. Why is there no customer service helpline?
