Black Tomato provides an unforgettable experience with every trip. They get you right in the heart of the culture, and have thought through every detail. Their taste is impeccable and their customer service is without compare. I cannot recommend them highly enough.

I've booked a number of holidays with Black Tomato and the service provided has always been uniformly excellent. They have an in-depth knowledge of the locations and hotels they recommend and they always seem to know the right places to go. Recently they organised a wonderful trip to Greece for us during the easing of Covid restrictions. We were really glad that we made the decision to travel at that time: airports were fine and the hotels and local staff, although all clearly taking covid restrictions seriously, nevertheless still managed to make us feel incredibly welcome and relaxed. Visiting small museums and tourist attractions also made clear what a hard time the local economies have been facing with their drastic cut in visitor numbers.

My fiance and I had an amazing experience working with Tom Pyman at Black Tomato to plan a honeymoon. Tom planned two amazing itineraries for us - one in Central America and one in Egypt. Unfortunately, we had to stop the process just before booking because I found out I was pregnant, and our doctors advised us against travel due to uncertainties related to COVID. I cannot wait to contact Tom at a later time to take the same trip, once we have the ability to travel again. Tom was very friendly and answered all of our questions promptly. He was very accommodating and helped us create an experience that was perfect for both of us.

The service Black Tomato provide is excellent. Whether it’s a big, complicated trip or a short last minute break the team always provide great suggestions which are tailored to our objectives. The trips always run smoothly and the destinations accurately reflect the descriptions provided in advance. I was particularly impressed when they rearranged a trip to Italy and organised a last minute trip to Greece within a couple of days because of changes to the UK’s air corridors.

This was the second time I had the opportunity to travel with Black Tomato and I can say without hesitation that I will be doing it again as soon as I have the chance. From the moment I made the initial phone call through to just before departing, they were professional and responsive....and reassuring, which in these difficult travel days, was so important.
On this trip to Tanzania (Arusha then the Grumeti in the Serengeti) Black Tomato made all the potential stress points like being met at airports and transfers as a single woman alone so well organised. I had also expressed interest in adding on some cultural experiences in Arusha and they were resourceful and found me wonderfully unique additions for my trip (beading workshop!).
After not travelling for so long due to all the travel restrictions, it felt so good to be in another country. I felt welcome and well looked after. All my accommodations were incredibly clean and safe and the people I encountered were so happy to have visitors.
I am already dreaming up another trip and will certainly plan it with Black Tomato

A great trip to Italy (mountain and lakes), fabulously organised by Black Tomato as ever. We were concerned about the potential impact of Covid on the travel experience, but this was more straightforward than expected - flights, hotels and tour guides. It has certainly given us confidence to look further afield.

We recently travelled to France with Black Tomato, accepting that we would quarantine on our return.
We spent 4 days in Paris and the change of scenery, felt like a fortnight. The whole trip, was arranged with safety and social distancing in mind.
Black Tomato had a massive challenge, as we are regular visitors to Paris, but it felt safer to use a company, who recognise that travel plans, in the current climate, can change at any time.
We were booked to stay at Le Bristol and the service was incredible. We were literally treated like royalty from start to finish.
Black Tomato had arranged a private tour guide for The Louvre and due to the lack of tourists, it felt like we had the museum to ourselves.
Accepting the limitations of travelling during a pandemic, Black Tomato showed that the lack of tourists, can mean a far more pleasurable experience can be had, if you are prepared to put your trust in a company that put, not only the interests, but also the safety of their clients first.

This was our fourth trip with Black Tomato, which, once again, delivered.

We were originally scheduled to travel in April but needed to postpone due to the pandemic. Based on wishful thinking, we rescheduled for September, hoping that life would return to normal by then. Not quite.

Nonetheless, Rob helped reschedule the entire trip for our new dates, stayed in constant touch while fielding our numerous questions, and suggested a perfect additional island to visit when we elected to double-down and extend the trip. He did a truly masterful job in all respects.

In the end, we are grateful that we decided to proceed with the trip to French Polynesia, which is a spectacular country that provided the perfect getaway during this abnormal time.

The most incredible trip ever!

Honeymoons are supposed to be incredible right? For our 'trip of a lifetime' we were seeking something a little adventurous teamed with animal spotting and some time out on a white sandy beach. My husband-to-be had done the 'traditional' safari x beach combination and I was keen to ensure we were going somewhere neither of us had been before. That's when the Black Tomato team really showed their expertise. Suggesting Borneo - a place we'd never have thought of in a million years and reeling us in with an exceptional itinerary comprising jungle sunset boat safaris - spotting a lone orangutan in the wild along the way! - snorkelling off a private island, rickety jungle aeroplanes, orangutan sanctuaries and many many memories. As well as being an utter joy to work with, other little touches of Black Tomato magic I still wax lyrical about; a fictional book sent to us before we departed set deep in the Borneo jungle, a copy of The Week and a film to watch to "put off the holiday washing" greeted us on our return. It's been a while since our trip and occasionally we'll unearth a picture of us two metres away from a pygmy elephant or crying with laughter as we recalled that time the teeniest fish chased my new husband out of the Celebes Sea. Thank you Black Tomato for helping us in plotting the most exceptional of honeymoons - cannot recommend you enough!

This was our third trip with Black Tomato, and we could not recommend them more! They take every trip to the next level, by sourcing the best hotels, the best local guides, and the most trusted advice! We trust their advice implicitly. Their knowledge and network of local guides across the world is unparalleled. We actually got a quote from another similar travel agency for this trip, but Black Tomato's pricing and itinerary blew the other agency away. We are in the process of planning our fourth trip with Black Tomato now, and can't wait to experience their amazing service again!

Black Tomato arranged a wonderful getaway to the Maldives for my family after our original plan of a European holiday was put on hold due to COVID-19. Sunil, our travel expert, listened to what we wanted, and patiently took the time to understand our concerns and answer our many questions about traveling during a pandemic. Our experience with Black Tomato was excellent from the planning stage to being welcomed back home.

Another informative, experience rich trip from Black Tomato. This thoughtful and well coordinated excursion included all the "must sees" of Egypt and Jordon and complimented them with a selection of people/culture events. All with Black Tomato's flare and demand for excellence. Great guides, great hotels, great trip.
