We just finished a 2 week tour with Blue Lanka tours & can't speak highly enough of all their staff. Just contact them & they will customise a tour just for you. Everything is done for you. The manager Deminda, was fantastic, he contacted us before, during & after the tour to make sure everything was going to plan & that we were happy. Suresh our driver & guide was brilliant also. Just finished a 6 day your with my guide/driver Rishan. I had an enjoyable time. Rishan is quite knowledgeable with each place we visited. Blue Lanka Tours were fantastic throughout the whole holiday.
Pramilla spent time to understand exactly what we wanted from our time in Sri Lanka and we created a bespoke schedule for the two-weeks and decided to stay for 2 nights in each location so that we could enjoy the scenery and also spend time to enjoy the culture of each of the regions we visited.
Our tour guide throughout was Mayura. His detailed local knowledge and enthusiasm for Sri Lanka ensured that we understood the stories and history behind the beautiful scenery and amazing sites we visited. From the moment we arrived at the airport until we we departed, Mayura was there to make sure that all ran smoothly and adapted our daily plans so we could spend longer in some places.
Behind the scenes Deminda was keen to ensure that our holiday matched our expectations and he regularly contacted us to check that all was well with the trip and locations.
Blue Lanka tours is definitely a customer-focused company who want to ensure the you have a truly memorable time in the their lovely country. I will be using then on my next trip to Sri Lanka

Excellent holiday with Blue Lanka - Lasantha is an amazing guide!
We very highly recommend using Blue Lanka Tours for your personalized travels to Sri Lanka, and we especially want to express our appreciation for the excellent service provided by our guide, Mr. Lasantha Premarathne. We spent two weeks with Lasan traveling across this amazingly beautiful country, and when we completed our travels with him it was as if we were saying goodbye to a good friend.
Blue Lanka: Blue Lanka is professional and organized and the holiday they planned was exactly what we expected. Based on Trip Advisor reviews, we began our email conversations with Natasha Abeyrathne at Blue Lanka almost one year prior to our travels. She was very helpful in working with us to select the itinerary, hotels, etc and made sure to include historical & spiritual sites, city tours, hikes and nature-based activities. She was easy to work with, extremely responsive and had no problem making itinerary changes at our request. Mr. Fernando, operations manager, called a few times during our travels to make sure we were ok. We always were, and appreciated the attention.
Our Guide, Mr. Lasantha Premarathne: We have the highest praise for our guide, Lasan. He is smart, knowledgeable, professional, kind and (very important) a good and safe driver. Yes, of course he speaks English, but he also got my husband’s stupid jokes and had an easy and fun banter with him as we drove hundreds of kilometers across country. We are curious travelers and ask many questions about history, culture, wildlife, etc etc. Lasan very happily answered them all, and always had even more information to add making the travels more interesting. He adjusted the itinerary occasionally to work better with location and timing, and we were happy to be flexible with his suggestions. The highlight of our time with him was having lunch at his home with his lovely family. We will always appreciate and remember their hospitality and warmth. Thank you, Lasan!
Our Itinerary: Negombo - Anuradhapura - Sigiriya - Polonnaruwa - Kandy - Horton Plains - Train to Ella - Ella Rock - Udawalawe - Yala. We recommend ALL of it. We worked with Blue Lanka in selecting hotels and were pleased with all but one (not a big deal as it was the best in the remote area and only one night).

It was a Unique Experience in Sri Lanka! All thanks goes to Blue Lanka Tours! Me and my boyfriend planned to spend some days in Sri Lanka. One of my friend recommend this company as the best travel agency in Sri Lanka.Dinesh and his team was very helpful.We spent 4 nights and 5 days in Sri Lanka. and it was a unique experience, we started our tour from colombo and we covered the beautiful areas in this paradise.I love all the places specially the day that we spent in Galle, good food, good weather and the people ,we just love them all!!! Magnificent Tour with Blue Lanka Tours
We had a wonderful tour in Sri Lanka with Blue Lanka Tours. We traveled most of the World Heritage UNESCO sites within 8 days and it was brilliant.
Pramila did the tour planning for us from office and Prakash made the rest of the tour perfect. He is one of the amazing persons I have ever met and my vocabulary is not enough to explain how professional and enthusiastic he was during our tour.
This is a truly a well set up business with so much of energy among all of the staff we have dealt with and I must say this bunch of guys could compete with any other world class tour operators in the world.
It was so sad to hear about what had happened in Sri Lanka during the Easter Sunday and I hope they would rise up again in the very near future.
Last but not least to mention about Deminda who made numerous phone calls during our tour in Sri Lanka to check whether everything is in order with our tour which was a nice touch.

Excellent Holiday with Blue Lanka Tours
We had one of our best holidays in Sri Lanka and this was due to excellent assistance we had from BLT in organising our holiday. From the moment I enquired, I was contacted by Pramila, who helped organise a fantastic itinerary which suited us best. On arrival at Colombo Airport we were greeted by Rishan, who was our guide/driver for the duration of our holiday. He was very professional and courteous with a great knowledge of Sri Lanka. He was superb and looked after my parents, making sure that we were safe at all times. He was always on time and punctual to pick us up and kept the car very clean. Rishan was like part of our family. All the locations and places we visited were excellent and the hotels were of very high standard. I would highly recommend BLT without any hesitation and we are already planning our next Sri Lanka holiday.

Excellent Full Day Safari at Wilpattu National Park
Organised a full day safari at Wilpattu National Park with Blue Lanka tours at short notice. Both Dinesh and Deminda were friendly, professional and very efficient in getting things organised within 24 hours. We were picked up from our hotel in Anuradhapura and taken to Wilpattu very punctually.
They also made the extra effort to ensure we got a knowledgeable guide/driver (Nuwan). Though we were unlucky with our animal sightings, we were very happy with Nuwan’s effort, knowledge and company through the day. They also organised breakfast and lunch for us which was delicious.
Very refreshing to have such professional and reliable service from a tour group. Highly recommended.

What a beautiful holiday we had booked with Blue Lanka Tours !
What a beautiful holiday we had booked through Blue Lanka Tours that we chose because of excellent reviews on Trip Advisor. Mr Deminda was our port of contact and easily contactable on whatsapp and pretty much all booking was done through whatsapp messages. Mr Dinesh the Owner of the company was in touch as well to make sure everything is taken care of. It shows the level of customer service we recieved from the time we were booking till the end of our journey. I travelled with my wife and two kids 7 and 4 yrs old. wife and 7 yr old suffer with travel sickness and the way the tour was designed it took into account of such sensitivities as well. We had never done road trips before but this experience has given us the courage to go for more in the future. We planned to stay for 7 nights in Srilanka and started our journey from airport where we were recieved by Mr Bandu the tour driver who stayed with us throughout the journey. He recieved us with a BIG smile and was very good with kids and they loved him to the bits.
We were taken to Negombo where we stayed a night at Jetwing Hotel and next morning we took off on a luxurious Toyota Van ( very comfortable ) to Kandy which stop over to Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage where the lunch table was even reserved for us by Mr Bandu with beautiful views of Elephant Bathing ( stunning experience ). After that we went for an Elephant Ride which was bit tricky but it was a life type experience that will stay with us for a long time. After finishing this stop over we continued towards Kandy where we stayed at Grand Kandian Hotel with such a beautiful room with sunset views ! We were taken to Gem Place ( a bit more expensive than what we eventually got in Colombo Hilton Hotel at Careem’s Gems ). Cultural Dance was also very good included in our itenary and had the front most seats booked by Tour Operators ) Stayed there for two nights and then Nuwariliya was our next destination with Stopovers at Tea Factory ( expensive tea buy so if not fussed about a particular brand then buy from grocery stores !)
Ramboda Falls is not to be missed on our way to Nuwariliya and the restaurant Mr Bandu took us to that too reserved with best views of the Falls was amazing. We got a bit of rain there but it was really a beautiful sight and experience. Then we continued to Nuwariliya ( Total Journey 5 hrs with with multiple breaks didnt feel tiring at all ). Mr Bandu stopped at
Stay at Nuwariliya was at Araliya Green Hills which was a good hotel with reasonable views but rooms were comparitively small but I would suppose like any hill station hotels they had smaller rooms compared to other hotels we had been so far in Srilanka. Food at all hotels was beautiful with a good mix of local food ( Egg Hoppers were the breakfast winner for us ) and for Dinner rice with daal with lots of pickles ( best ever I have had in my life ) and vegetables ( Brinjals in particular were amazing ) . Sea Food Place ( Restaurant ) near The Araliya Green Hills is to stay away ( Below Average Food ).
In Nuwariliya we had a beautiful 30 mins lake ride ( inclusive of our itenary ) and then Walk in the Victoria Park reminded us of UK hence this place is called Little England !
In our stay in Nuwariliya Mr Deminda got our room changed to get a better view and also on our return to Coloumbo we initially planned to have train until Kandy but we had a change of mind and decided to go ti Coloumbo via train and all this last min change was catered by Mr Deminda with a smile ! Train Trip is a must to do with stunning views. Go for AC compartments though.
Mr Bandu followed us in his van and our luggage to coloumbo and met us at Galle Face Hotel which is a colonial times Boutique Hotel and is a sight seeing historical place with a mini museum inside the hotel with antique decor. Views and Sundet over there was amazing. Pool is a but deep therefore not for kids minimum depth 1.5 meters ( 5 foot ).
We went for Shopping Spree in coloumbo rather than site seeing ( being hot and humid ). Places to shop Odel ( local shopping with good quality , Barefoot ( hand made items , a must go to ) Ceylon Spa ( beauty items and spa )
Stayed in Coloumbo for 2 nights and then were taken by Mr Bandu to Airport on time and I must say he has really made a good effort in making sure we reach each destination on time to utilise our trip.
Another tip: Dont Buy anything from airport its all charged in dollars and pretty expensive comapred to outside.

Amazing 10 day tour of Sri Lanka with Rishan Mahanama
Expertly organized and coordinated trip for the O'Connor family which incorporated Negombo, Dembulla, Sigiriya (lion rock), Polonnaruwa, Nuwara Eliya, Ella, Yala and finally Galle.
Rishan was excellent with his manner and knowledge of Sri Lanka; but also at keeping us safe on the busy roads!
It also seemed like he knew everyone in Sri Lanka as each stop he was greeted as a close friend (especially at the Grand Hotel!).
Thanks to him and all at Blue Lanka for making this such a memorable trip.
