Excellent Umbrella Repair

My Blunt sports umbrella was damaged when my golf buggy to which it was attached was blown over by a gust of wind. I contacted Blunt umbrellas and was very happy to discover that they would happily repair my umbrella. They paid for the postage and the repair was free. It was also returned to me in less than a week. Excellent service.

$150 umbrella, repair is hassle

My $150? blunt umbrella lasted a few years but broke more quickly than other umbrellas I've owned, the lighter coloured material also stained. I contacted blunt about that, but not about any holes in the fabric, because there were not any holes (yet).

I didn't have my brolly receipt for the exact purchase date (not sure who does keep these things) but was glad they agreed to repair.

They asked me for my address to send out a courier label, which expires after 10 days, further labels at customers expense. I gave my address and waited, only to find (after it expired) they sent the label to my email. More back and fourth, with some snarky emails about how I should know 'send' a label means send by email because that is what they always do (even though I wouldn't know what they always do, and they asked my street address so they could send it to me). In the end they sent me another one by email that I could get printed at the post office.

They sent me a message offering $25 umbrella canopy replacement. I said I thought the discolouration was more of a product flaw and didn't want to pay for a new one.
Got a message back when the repair was done
'We've replaced the bits missing/broken on the umbrella and it works a treat. Canopy looks a bit jaded but it works a treat'.
'looks a bit jaded'? Again with the snarky attitude.
Got it back and I can see a little 1cm right angle cut in the canopy that wasn't there before I sent it. Either they've done it opening the package or during the repair, probably still trying to get that $25. Not from me though, I'll try to patch it up. Any more breaks and this one is going in the bin.
From my experience it seems these umbrellas are expensive and likely lasts the same time as a regular one, with the difference being after the warranty period you can pay them to do repair, if you want to deal with their attitude that is.

No umbrella arrived

I’d love to actually review the umbrella. Had it arrived… I purchased in the recent sale December 2nd. No umbrella. Was intended to be a Christmas gift. No response from customer service. I will give them another week and cancel with visa for goods not delivered.

Customer service is non-existent

Can't fault product quality, but customer service is non-existent. Have repeatedly emailed (as per their return process on the website) and messaged on social media about organising an exchange, and have had precisely zero response. Getting the sense this is deliberate so that the 30-day return window runs out.

Hopeless Delivery and communication resulting in cancelled order.

Placed an order and waited for 2 weeks for dispatch. Being a premium brand, you expect they can at least have goods sent out in time, not waiting over 10 days.

Their justification is they have so many orders they are struggling with warehousing. More likely they either have a warehouse that are incompetent or they sold goods before stock in hand.

If you sell a $10 umbrella, no one cares about delays - When you are selling a $100 umbrella, it matters.

Get your act together if you are selling a premium brand.

Terrible communication and phone number…

Terrible communication and phone number doesn't seem to work for this company. Have tried to reach them via email, phone number and direct messaging via website for days as i need to clarify something about their delivery. No response, even though its a quite urgent matter. It feels like this company i have been dealing with is not a "real" one, more like a spam. Very disappointing, even before i started receiving their product

I ordered two new umbrellas. they arrived in secure packaging and are lovely, serviceable umbrellas.
