Best 7 days I have experienced in years.

Loved every minute and learnt valuable lessons every ride.

An extremely well delivered service and taught by a legendary individual.

Worth every penny and will recommend to anyone who wants to start their motorcycling journey.

I have just completed the 6 day DAS course at Royston. The bikes are well maintained current models, the clean kit is BMW branded and a range of sizes are on site. The environment is pleasant and the dedicated practice area is an excellent resource. Above all though, is the level of skilled professional instruction. From Ian’s introduction to Dave’s incremental focus on detail, all was delivered in a constructive, positive and friendly manner. I had a great week, had the good fortune to have excellent company (hi George 😎) learned loads and really appreciated the support and guidance throughout. If you want to learn to ride, I thoroughly recommend this course. Oh yes - and I passed mod 1 and mod 2 first time. Thanks guys.

Dave has been a fantastic instructor!

During the entire training, Dave made everything so simple, fun and enjoyable. I have already recommended him to one of my friends and will continue to recommend him to any friends that are thinking of completing a Direct Access. It was a great experience and passed at 1st attempt.

Brilliant service from booking to test completion.
I would highly recommend this motorcycle school. The tuition was second to non. The school provides clean equipment for you to use and the bikes are all new and very well maintained.
I took the 7 day course. From a novice to passing my full license in 7 days. A big thank you to Dennis & Dave. 2 brilliant trainers, very experienced on every aspect.

As it is, I finally made it to the full license yesterday. Would not be possible without exceptional tutoring by one of the stars of the training centre in Royston.
For the past week I've been constantly riding, sometimes in the strong winds, sometimes in the pelting, icy rain, sometimes in both...
I've been shown what riding could be, that weather conditions is something that one needs to account for but by no means something that excludes a day from enjoyable riding!
I lost some weight through this week, I gained a lot more.
This was an exceptional experience in the very positive sense of the phrase, something unfathomable for the past me stuck on the North Circular riding my 125ccm bike.
And at some point in the February I'll pick up my new F750 GS... Can't wait. My motorcycle journey has truly just started, despite all the years spent on the smaller bike.

Highly Recommend, I went from never riding a motorcycle to passing my tests in 7 days, Ian and Denis were amazing, very informative and patient. I really enjoyed my week of learning and cannot wait to get a bike and hit the open road.

Just completed the DAS at the royston branch. Really helpful team who took me through from the basics of the CBT to the full test. Great equipment with both high quality bikes and clothes provided.
Very professional but also friendly and encouraging through to the test and afterwards.

Having had a bad experience previously with an impatient teacher I was really, very nervous. The Royston instructors helped me to feel capable and calm though. They were endlessly patient and encouraging and saw me through renewing my CBT to Mod 1 and 2 over the course of the 7 days. I was exhausted by the end but I absolutely cannot fault the experience. Would whole heartedly recommend the school to anyone, It's one of the best decisions I've ever made.

Absolutely brilliant experience. I was able to go from someone who did not know how to ride a motorcycle to passing my mod 1 with no minors in a week! The instruction from Dennis not only got me through all of my tests first time but also showed me how to really enjoy riding and get the most out of the road I'm riding on. I would recommend this to anyone interested in learning to ride a motorcycle.

I have just attended the DAS course and got my full licence. I just wanted to share it here, because the training was very professional and I would strongly recommend.

They provided all sanitised and clean BMW branded equipment(Jacket, pants, gloves, boots, helmet etc).

They had a wide range of options with the bikes(F750GS with all possible seat and height options to fit)

The area(Royston) had all kind of different roads with all possible speed limits.

The instructors are both IAM & RoSPA certified observers/instructors and were very kind.(Thanks to Denis & Julie)

Had a horrible CBT experience with another trainer and gave up on motorbikes. Met BMW Rider Training at the ABR Festival and was motivated to give it another go on a 7 day Direct Access course at Royston. So glad I did - they made riding a bike achievable, despite me being a complete beginner with loads of worries. They don't just coach you to pass the tests, but focus on how to ride a motorbike, deal with traffic and road conditions.

I can't rate this training any more highly.
BMW Royston took me from a post CBT, non geared bike riding relative novice to confident rider - and full license in 5 days. It was a challenge, it was hard work mentally and physically. BUT the tuition and commitment from the instructors is second to none.

Excellent centre, bikes and instruction.
The training not only gets your ready for the Mod 1 & 2, it makes you a better rider overall.

I cannot recommend this course highly enough

Booked the six day direct access course in Royston . The course was very professionally ran from the moment of arrival , with all my equipment clean and functional as per the sizes I requested.
The opening address of the course from Ian was again extremely professional and gave a clear aim of each days training , incentive for learning and a reason why we had to learn the skills.
During the training Ian would quickly identified area’s I was lacking and used various techniques and exercises to help me not only learn skills but retain them . This was key and made the course challenging but never overwhelming.
During each days riding Ian would stop us for breaks and give excellent feedback covering the complete route we had taken , giving praise for good riding and hi lighting errors , making sure we understood why and what effects good and bad riding has to us and others .
At the end of each day a full review of the days training was given (always with a good coffee) .
All in all this is some of the highest level of instruction I have encountered, I was not trained to just pass a couple of test . (Which I did 👍) Ian and Dennis where training us to be motorcyclists not just a bloke/girl with a license .
Many thanks to Ian and Dennis for a fantastic week , I will be back for further training .
For anyone thinking about going to another provider, DONT .
BMW Royston should be first choice .

The entire team at the training centre deliver an exceptional course. Their knowledge and patience was second to none. The product which they supply is in pristine condition not to mention the lovely area to learn to ride in with beautiful countryside to venture in. I cannot recommend this place enough.

Great training, thoroughly enjoyable week. Despite a problem with my mod 2 test being cancelled, it was quickly re-arranged and I managed to pass only a few days later. Julie's attention to detail helped me through both tests, everyone else makes you feel very welcome and are helpful too.

These guys are brilliant. Everything is done on brand new BMW bikes. CBT is done on the G310R or 310GS so you don't have to ride a crap 125. DAS moves onto the 750GS which is a perfect bike for a novice. Its small enough and docile enough not to catch you out but big enough to get that big bike 'feel'. The gear is all really high quality BMW kit, they've got a complete range of sizes and they make sure it works for you and you're completely happy before you go out.

The team at BMW rider training are superb instructors. They teach to a much higher standard than 'just enough to pass' so by the end of the week you're going to fly through your Mod2 test and be riding really confidently and safely.

If you've never ridden a motorbike before, they will take you on the rollercoaster of emotions as you progress through the week with expert guidance when it matters, encouragement when it matters and a gentle word when things aren't going so well.

Its a cliche I know, but I really felt like my personal success was as important to the team at BMW rider training as it was to me.

I cannot thank the team at Bryan's enough for getting me through the MOD1 & MOD2 tests via a 5-day DAS course. The team's professional yet friendly manner was really welcoming and played a key part in getting me the right result. Jim, John, Kev & Trish - you're a credit to your profession! Thank you so much.

Considering I had never ridden a motorbike before, I must say that my instructor Julie made me feel at ease from the very beginning. The 7 day course I took was intense but Julie managed my progress so I never felt out of my depth which meant that each morning I really was looking forward to what I was going to learn that day. By the time it came to the MOD 1 and MOD 2 exams I really need feel that I had the ability to ride a motorbike confidently and more importantly safely on the road and I honestly cannot recommend this course and Julie highly enough!!
