My experience as a contributing author with Brainz Magazine was terrific! I made many smart business connections with both peers and clients alike during the partnership. Mark Sephton (the gentlemen who interviewed me for my podcast episode) was a masterful conversationalist and did a fantastic job of highlighting my expertise and the differentiating factors that make my business stand out. Peter (the sales rep who brought me onboard) was friendly and helpful. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Ich wurde kontaktiert von einer Mitarbeiterin des Brainzmagazines, die meine Mailadresse offensichtlich unserem Instagramprofil entnommen hat.
Sie sei ein "Executive Assistant with the Brainz Magazine Selection Committee" und sie hätte eine "opportunity for a company/entrepreneur in the Health and Wellness sector" zu bieten.

Zuerst dachte ich es sei üblicher Spam. Ich habe die Mail allerdings gelesen und auch die Website aufgerufen. Es wirkte dann doch recht offiziell, so dass ich sogar geantwortet habe.

Ich wurde daraufhin zu der nächsten Executive weitergeleitet, und schließlich hat sich "Peter" gemeldet und mir einen Call vorgeschlagen.
Dieser müsste aber schnell stattfinden, denn sie hätten nicht viel Zeit um diese Position zu besetzen, etc.

Es hat sich dann herausgestellt, dass man mir ein 12monatiges "Executive Contributor Partnership" anbieten möchte, und es wurde ein Link zur Infoseite geschickt.
Auf Nachfrage wurde mir dann mitgeteilt, dass die Handling Fee dafür "lediglich" 95 USD pro Monat (also 1.140 USD insgesamt pro Jahr) betragen würde.
Für diesen satten Betrag dürfte ich dann ein paar Artikel schreiben, die auf Brainzmagazine veröffentlicht werden.

Der viel beworbene Vorteil für mich bestünde darin, mich als Experte zu positionieren und evtl. auch ein paar Leads zu generieren. das wurde nicht genauer beschrieben, und auf den Zoom Call mit Peter habe ich dann gern verzichtet...

Implied there was a position / role at Brainz Magazine, then indicated that I would have to pay money to maintain this position. I asked to not be contacted any further two times and they continued to escalate and harass me. The representative agent was Meya in their "Selection Committee" and used this email address: publicity @ brainzmagazine.com

The website is misleading, as it says their Domain Authority is 72 when in reality it's 38 (Moz). The quality of the writing isn't great in a lot of the articles, so it sounds like the editing team aren't doing very much. And the sales team are quite pushy in making you join as a contributor for a fee. It's odd that they've got a few articles from respectable wellness figures, but the magazine must have been misrepresented to them too.
