Drive down only to be told it’s not £4 glasses no designers I’ve heard off not the best looking practices

Today, I drove more than 15 miles in heavy traffic for an appointment at Brillen.co.uk in Wood Green N22 6YQ only to be told something completely different from what they are advertising. They turned round to inform me that the advertised £49 varifocals were not good enough and that I should pay £230 for a better pair of glasses. What a joke and nice way to deceive and rip people off? 🥶🤓🤯
No digital eye test or any form of eye test was done whatsoever!
Advert is a scam, misleading and a complete waste of time. It must be removed from all social media platforms!

I went to Brillen Middleton nearly a year ago after avoiding getting glasses for so long. Renee was amazing in helping me find the perfect glasses for me. The service was fast with really good prices.
I went back to Brillen recently after breaking my glasses. A quick temporarily fix was done straight away and Renee rang around other stores to get me the exact same glasses replaced.
Amazing service and have recommended to all my family.

I have purchased two pair of glasses from Brillen store at Watford way. The Service at the store is excellent, would like make special mention to Somood the store manage there, has been very helpful in address all the questions.

I was served by Somood and he was very helpful.
The Optical screening wad done remotely by an Optician and was completely hassle free.
The further eye tests will be performed on site by an Optician when I confirm and agree.
The reason being that the eye tests are free.
The offers are brilliant and should not be scorned at.
Except for one slight criticism, which is important to me, and that is they will not order a frame from outside. You are restricted to choose from their own in‐house self. They have a good range of frames and lenses.

Overall, I am happy with the quality of service and the product, however, it loses a star because you are restricted to choosing from their own self.
