You can’t get the Steiner lenses for £ 159.99 put into your own current frames or any other frame you bring with you !!! They offer you dated cheap frames plus all the bolt ons’s.Don’t waste you time everyone !!! It is just another marketing scam !!!! Dated old fashioned opticians at 152 city road. EC 1.

Professional all round service glasses r very good from Middleton branch in Manchester

Steven was very Professional , gave good advice and I felt at ease with the whole Process from start to finish.

Having worked in customer service, i know staff receive unfair abuse for things they can't control. I have made two appointments, and taken time off, only to receive calls 30 minutes beforehand, when i had already travelled and paid for parking, cancelling due to 'maintenance issues'. This was apparently lack of internet, something i see mentioned in other reviews. I was then annoyed to see an online advertisement saying local appointments were available last minute due to cancellations. I was prepared to give the business a third chance, but reading the reviews suggests that, although the famous Renee of Middleton and other staff may be good, customer experience is mixed. Many people want to reduce their expenditure right now, but i hope this isn't an example of cut prices meaning cutting corners. I will say that the person calling me from Essex (miles away) was friendly and polite.

I collected my new glasses on Friday the 28th/10/22
I could not believe how good my vision was as I sat and looked around the shop. I wear a varifocal lens and at another local optical I have always opted for the middle option. The quality of the lenses and glasses are amazing. They also were ready to pick up in just nine days. Fantastic service.

I would really like to thank the Bradford branch of Brillen and praise their excellent customer service. After a nasty cycling accident which caused my recently purchased glasses from Brillen to break, the team worked hard to salvage the lenses and fit them to new frames, providing the most cost effective way of resolving the problem. The Brillen experience....it's literally out of this world, German technology (can't argue with that) so futuristic, you have got to try it, absolutely first class

I saw these adverts and unfortunately fell for the pitch; the reality is it’s cleaver marketing and all a bit of a rip off! I attended my appointment for a virtual eye test which I knew was not accurate at the time, so informed the shop assistant. This was dismissed and he ordered glasses in what I knew were the wrong prescription. I returned one week later to collect my glasses and it is only at this point you meet a real optician. He confirmed that the prescription was wrong and the glasses needed to be remade. I then had to return a third time to collect the remade pair of glasses which were the Steiner 360 Maxx, their premier lenses, but they were no better than my cheap variofocals I wear currently. I eventually returned and opted for a refund; the frames were allegedly from the £75 range, but I would compare them to the quality of ready reader frames that you can pick up for less than £5. The shop is staffed on one man who works on commission, he openly admitted that he had had just a few weeks training and was now left to run the shop without any previous optical experience. This was a costly experience with regards to my time and travel expenses. I would not recommend at all.

Needed an urgent appointment for an eye test, the Middleton Branch were more than happy to accommodate with this. The Optician was very helpful and informative along with the other ladies who were very efficient and more than helpful.
Take a trip, you won’t be disappointed 😀 great prices too!

My experience at Brillen.co.uk Middleton, Manchester was very brilliant. The staff (3 ladies) on site were so helpful and professional. I felt so much at home during the eye test and while choosing the frames. Very patient staff. I had quite a hilarious time as well. I would recommend them to anyone because of their overall great service.

This company does not push you into buying anything you don't need sales staff are excellent and full of good advice would highly recommend love my new glasses

I visited the Middleton branch. The 3 ladies who were working were very, helpful, friendly and professional. Lots of choice of frames and offered to take pictures also. Great price for the frames, varifocal lenses and an eye test. Looking forward to picking them up.

I've been seeing the Ad's for Brillen for quite sometime now. I'm long overdue new glasses, so i made an appointment and travelled 10 miles, thinking the savings would be so big, that it would be worth it.

I arrived and was shown a slelction of frames, All were generic unbranded, All looked cheap and felt flimsy, some at a cost of £150

There was no on-site optition, they have some kind of automated machine, which at 185cm i was too tall for by about 20cm!

Then came the quotation... After the anti-glare and other options, The price came in comparable to what i'd pay for designer frames at the 2 main High Street retailers.

Very disapointed, although I had a gut feeling that this would be the senario.
