Outstanding service from Dr James Coleman at Brooksby Medical — I cannot recommend him highly enough for the service he provided over the Bank Holiday. My mother urgently required a GP letter to confirm a medical issue so she could take a wheelchair on an upcoming cruise. We were told her NHS GP could take 5–6 weeks to provide this, and with the cruise due to leave on Friday this was needed for P&O within days, not weeks. Dr Coleman stepped in and delivered exactly what we needed within 24 hours — over the weekend as well. That level of responsiveness alone was incredibly impressive.
He conducted a very detailed and professional telephone consultation, carefully discussing my mother’s current condition, her temporary mobility limitations, and the reasons behind needing a wheelchair. He was thorough, attentive, and clearly very knowledgeable, even suggesting a few helpful points for us to follow up with her regular GP in due course. Most importantly, he produced a clear, detailed, and well-structured medical letter that was accepted without issue by the cruise company. It gave us complete peace of mind at what could have been a very stressful time. Considering the urgency and the quality of service, his fees were more than reasonable.
